General settings for mail

The general settings for Mail allow users use the Send Mail action to send a document, a copy of a document or a folder as a hyperlink or as an email attachment.

You can limit access to the Send Mail action through access roles. See Actions preferences for instructions.

Multiple Files Use Compression
When a user selects multiple documents to send as an attachment to an email, a compressed file is created that contains all of the documents if this preference is enabled. The compressed file is named after the first item in the list.
