Draw a line
The Line drawing tool draws a straight line. The following examples show a red
straight line drawn on an image. The second example shows the toolbar
and resize controls for the annotation.

The line annotation is not available for images stored in an Image Services library.
To draw a straight line
- Click the Line drawing tool.
- Mark the beginning and ending points for the line, using one of these
methods:
- Click and hold the left mouse button down at the starting point,
then drag the mouse to the ending point while still holding the mouse
button down. Lift up the mouse button at the ending point.
- Click the left mouse button at the starting point for the line,
and immediately release the mouse button. Move the cursor to the ending
point, and then click the left mouse button once again.
To select a line after drawing it
- Click the Select/edit tool on the annotation toolbar.
- Click on or near the line (within the bounding brackets).
This displays the toolbar you use to adjust the security, line thickness,
line color, or position.

pink box inward (left or up) to contract the line.
To move an annotation

- Click on the annotation
and hold down the mouse button while you drag the annotation to a new location.
- When the annotation is in the correct location, release the mouse button.
To save your annotation changes
- Click the Save button in the Annotation toolbar
(at the left of the Image Viewer window) to save the annotations with
the image.
NOTE
The Fix button in the annotation customization toolbar does not save
your changes with the Image.
