Choose export options

Use the Export Options window to specify how the export procedure is carried out. See Concepts: exporting and importing for more information.

NOTE  The use of Enterprise Manager or its related command-line tool to create an export manifest, or to export or import objects, is deprecated and it is recommended that you use FileNet Deployment Manager instead for these operations. For more information, see Exporting and importing.

Include Modified Parent Class Definitions
Select to include the class of the subclass definition in the exported objects. For example, if you are exporting a user-defined subclass for Custom Object, selecting this option includes the definitions for the Custom Object class, along with the subclass. Clear this option if the object store you are going to import the XML file into already contains the class definitions of the exported classes.
Export File Manifest Prefix
Enter a manifest file prefix, which is added to the beginning of the manifest file name.
Export File Location
Click Browse to browse to the folder where you want to save the export file. The export file contains the exported objects in XML format.
Content Folder (user empty string to embed the content in export file)
Use this field to specify a Windows folder in which to save the content. You can use a path relative to the export location or an absolute path. To embed the content in the XML file, leave this field blank. The default value is a relative directory named "content."

TIP Using a content folder to hold exported files, rather than embedding content in the export file, improves export performance and might prevent an out-of-memory exception on your server.
Log File
The log file contains status and error information about the export process. The default file path is: C:\ContentEngineExportLog<Current Date>.xml. To specify a different location or file name for the log file, click Browse and browse to the folder. By default, log information appends to previous information. To disable logging, leave this field blank.
Export File Rollover Size
Set a maximum size for each of the export files in the set. Rollover size refers only to size of the metadata included in the export manifest and does not include the size of content files (which is handled by the Content Folder option explained previously.)
Security Export
Select Export Security Permissions to include the following security permissions assigned to the object:

For each security principal in the XML file the following information is included:
