Import Helper (Advanced tab)
The Advanced tab on the Import Helper dialog gives you more control over
what to import automatically. Clearing certain associated objects can cause
errors during the import process. The import process logs these errors while importing
the objects. For
information about opening and running the Import Helper, see Run
the Import Helper.
NOTE The use of Enterprise Manager or its related command-line tool to create an export manifest, or to export or import objects, is deprecated and it is recommended that you use FileNet Deployment Manager instead for these operations. For more information, see Exporting and importing.
Select the options that describe associated objects you want to include
with the imported objects.
- Import subscriptions attached to the object
- Includes all subscriptions associated with imported objects.
- Import security policies attached to
the object
- Includes any security policies attached to the objects. Security policies
contain security templates that you can use to apply and manage the security
applied to documents, folders, and custom objects.
- Import event action associated with a subscription
- Includes associated event actions with imported subscriptions. Each subscription
has an associated event action that runs in response to trigger events identified
in the subscription.
- Import documents contained in a checked folder
- Includes documents contained in the imported folders. When the Enterprise
Manager exports documents and folders, it generates a list of objects without
showing any relationships between them. Clearing this option imports the folders
without their documents. To import both the folder and the documents filed
within it, select this option.
- Import relationships between folders and
the objects contained in them
- Includes the referential containment relationships (DRCRs). If the DRCRs
are not included and you selected Import documents
in the selected folders, the import process cannot file the documents
associated with the folder. Select this option to add the relationships between
folders and other folders or folders and documents.
- Import annotations on documents
- Includes any annotations associated with the imported document.
- Import snapshots on documents
- Includes any snapshots associated with the imported document.
- Import snapshot relationships
and associated objects
- Includes any snapshot relationships and associated objects, along with the
imported object.
- Import entire version series on documents
and snapshots
- Includes the entire version series of a document and snapshots.
- Import lifecycle policies on documents
- Includes all document lifecycle policies that are associated with an imported
document.
- Import lifecycle action associated with
lifecycle policy
- Includes all lifecycle actions associated with an imported lifecycle policy.
- Import compound document links on parent documents
- Includes all compound document links associated with an imported document.
