Example: Adding a new report to IBM InfoSphere Enterprise Records
This example shows how to create a report, called Physical Records by Media Type Created within a Specific Period. This report lists the physical records inside a file plan that were created within a specific period and with a specific media type.
Adding a new report to IBM InfoSphere Enterprise Records consists of the following tasks:
- Creating the report template using Crystal Reports 2008 Designer. See Creating the report template.
- Creating P8 Content Engine property templates in the File Plan Object Store for the new report parameters (if any), and assigning the property templates to the ReportHoldings class. See Creating CE property templates .
- Defining the report in the ReportDefinitions.xml file. See Defining the report.
After you complete these three tasks, you can generate the new report, as follows:
- Start IBM InfoSphere Enterprise Records.
- Navigate to the Report tab.
- Select the report.
- Enter the values to generate the report.
