FileNet P8 Domain properties (IBM Search Configuration tab)

You can use the IBM® Search Configuration tab to view or modify the properties of the subsystem dispatcher. Most dispatcher properties concern object indexing.

Enable Dispatcher
The status of the dispatcher: ENABLED or DISABLED. Select the check box to enable the distpatcher.

For information about the procedure for setting the value of this property, see Setting the server hierarchy level for the subsystem dispatcher.

Wait Interval
The number of seconds between the end of a processing run and the beginning of the next processing run. During this interval, the dispatcher remains idle.

IMPORTANT Do not change the value of this property without guidance from a support representative. Doing so might adversely affect system performance.

Maximum Indexing Threads
The maximum number of worker threads that the dispatcher initiates for processing index batches during each processing run.
Maximum Search Threads Per Request
The maximum number of concurrent search server threads per CBR query for finding index information. Content Engine creates one thread for each index that is relevant to the full-text search expression. These search threads are not related to the dispatcher.
Max Batch Size
The maximum number of objects that can be submitted in a single batch for indexing. Adjust the value of this property based on the following factors:

For more information, see the IBM FileNet P8 Performance Tuning Guide.

Lease Duration
The maximum number of seconds that the dispatcher allows a worker thread to work on an index batch. If a worker thread fails to complete the batch within the allowed time, the dispatcher reassigns the batch to another thread.

IMPORTANT Do not change the value of this property without guidance from a support representative. Doing so might adversely affect system performance.

Time slots
A time slot is a time period with a beginning and ending time that is defined based on the week day and time of day. Content Engine runs index jobs only within the configured time slots if at least one time slot has been configured.
