Create an entry template to declare records

To streamline the process of declaring records through Workplace, you can create one or more entry templates for declaring records. The template can specify default information (such as record classes, file plan location, and properties) as well as hide some wizard pages to speed up the entry process or to prevent users from seeing preset values. (Note that IBM InfoSphere Enterprise Records includes an entry template for declaring physical records. IBM InfoSphere Enterprise Records also includes a sample entry template for declaring email records. For information on importing the sample email declaration template, see the readme file for the IBM InfoSphere Enterprise Records software package.)

Use Workplace to create a declare as record entry template. You must have access to the Advanced Tools in the Author page to create entry templates. See About Entry Template Designer and Entry templates for Declare as Record in the Help for Entry Template Designer for more information.
