Updating Process Engine region keys with Process Task Manager

Start the Process Task Manager and update the region keys for each isolated region.

Use the procedures in this task to update region keys on all isolated regions in aProcess Engine virtual server. Complete these procedures on only one node in a Process Engine farm cluster.
  1. Log on to the Process Engine server as pe_install_user .
  2. Start the Process Task Manager, as follows:
    Option Description
    Windows® creating the virtual server with a name of default Select Start > Programs > IBM FileNet P8 Platform > Process Engine > Process Task Manager.
    Windows assigning a specific name to the virtual server At a command prompt, change to the installation directory, by default C:\Program Files\IBM\FileNet\ProcessEngine, and enter vwtaskman virtual_server_name where virtual_server_name is the virtual server name.
    UNIX® creating the virtual server with a name of default Enter ./vwtaskman at the command prompt. The terminal should support X Windows and the DISPLAY environment variable should be set.
    UNIX assigning a specific name to the virtual server Enter ./vwtaskman virtual_server_name where virtual_server_name is the virtual server name at the command prompt. The terminal should support X Windows and the DISPLAY environment variable should be set.
  3. Update an isolated region by taking the following steps:
    1. Click on each Region in the left pane.
    2. Select a region from the list.
    3. On the Security Settings subtab, check Update on each region to be updated.
    1. Choose Update Region Key and enter the pe_region_admin user name and password.
  4. After all parameters have been entered, click Apply.
  5. When prompted by Process Task Manager to restart the software, click Yes. Process Task Manager will restart the software automatically on all servers in the farm.
