Creating an index job

Create an index job to reindex a class, object, or index. An index job represents one or more index requests for Content Engine objects. The index information for objects is added, updated, or deleted from indexes based on the current CBR text configuration.

For a newly created object and any changed or deleted object that belongs to a CBR-enabled class, Content Engine creates an index request automatically. (These index requests are not associated with an index job.) Content Engine also automatically creates a migration index job when you migrate an object store to IBM® Content Search Services. For all other reindexing, you must manually create an index job.
