You can add either JScript or VBScript files to run at various points during the import process. This feature is available for both manual and automatic imports.
NOTE The use of Enterprise Manager or its related command-line tool to create an export manifest, or to export or import objects, is deprecated and it is recommended that you use FileNet Deployment Manager instead for these operations. For more information, see Exporting and importing.
You can either create your own scripts or use the sample
scripts provided with your product. When
you use a sample script, save a copy to the User Scripts
folder and modify
it for your production environment.
FileNet P8 installs sample VBScript files under the following file path:
C:\
Program Files/FileNet/Content
Engine/Scripts/Component Library
On the Scripts tab, you can browse to the folder that contains the user-defined script files. By default, the system looks for user scripts under the following file path:
C:\Program Files/FileNet/Content Engine/Scripts/User Scripts
TIP To make it easier to find your user-defined scripts, save them in this default user scripts folder.
The following topics provide helper script functions and a deployment scenario that applies the sample VBScript files.
