You must modify the java.security file
to enable your IBM® InfoSphere™ Enterprise Records environment
for Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 mode.
The location of the
java.security file
depends on your IBM JRE installation.
For information, see
Preparing to install InfoSphere Enterprise Records tools on servers other than the web application server. For example,
for a Windows®
WebSphere® Application
Server installation, the default location
is:
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\java\jre\lib\security.
Restriction: If you use FIPS 140 encryption in your environment
you must install WebSphere Application
Server 7
or WebSphere Application
Server 7 Client on
all servers running InfoSphere Enterprise
Records components.
To modify the java.security file:
Modify the java.security file in
the IBM JRE security folder by adding the following
information: security.provider. N =com.ibm.crypto.fips.provider.IBMJCEFIPS
Where
N is
the relative position of the entry in the list of security providers.
