Completing post-upgrade Application Engine configuration

After you upgrade and deploy your Application Engine instances, you can complete additional configuration. Actions include modifying a configuration file, verifying Workplace sign-in, and establishing the Process Engine connection point.

To complete post-upgrade Application Engine configuration:

  1. (WebLogic Server only) If you upgraded from WebLogic Server 8.1 to WebLogic Server 9 or 10, you must set the case-sensitivity for the server.
    1. From the WebLogic Server Administration Console, click my_domain.
    2. Set Web App Files Case Insensitive to false.
    3. Save and activate your changes.
  2. If it is not already running, start the Workplace application on your application server.
  3. Sign in to Workplace to test your connection.
    1. On any computer, open a browser and type: http://server_name:port#/Workplace
    2. Enter a user name and password, and click Sign in.
  4. Set the Process Engine Connection Point.

    The Process Router from version 3.5 has been replaced with the Application Engine Connection Point.

    1. In Workplace click Admin.
    2. Click Site Preferences.
    3. Under General Settings > Tasks, select a Process Engine Connection Point from the drop down list.
    4. Click Apply and then Exit.
    5. Confirm that Application Engine is communicating with Process Engine.
      1. In Workplace, click Tasks.
      2. Verify that the Tasks page displays.
    6. Sign out of Workplace.
