You must install the Process Engine client
software, either interactively or silently in order to have a complete IBM® InfoSphere™ Enterprise Records installation and be able
for your application server to be able to communicate with your Process Engine server. The Process Engine client software level must
match that of the Process Engine.
Log in as the same user that installed
InfoSphere Enterprise
Records software to install the
Process Engine client. You must install
the
Process Engine client files
on servers that contain any of the following
InfoSphere Enterprise
Records components:
- InfoSphere Enterprise
Records Web application
(administration client)
- InfoSphere Enterprise
Records API and Bulk
Declaration Services (BDS) API
- InfoSphere Enterprise
Records Disposition
Sweep tool
- InfoSphere Enterprise
Records Hold Sweep
tool
- InfoSphere Enterprise
Records Transfer
tool
- File Plan Import Export tool
Important: In the Process Engine Client Installer wizard,
you have the option to have the client installer create the RecordsManager.ear and
the RecordsManager.war deployment files. If you
want to make custom changes to your InfoSphere Enterprise
Records XML files after the wizard
completes, choose not to have the client installer create the deployment
files. You can manually create the deployment files using the create_records_manager_ear.bat (Windows)
or create_records_manager_ear.sh (UNIX) file
that is provided in the install_location/FileNet/RM/deploy directory.
The create_records_manager_ear.bat or the create_records_manager_ear.sh file
creates the RecordsManager.ear and the RecordsManager.war files.
