Document properties (General tab)

Use the General tab to view, modify, or access the following properties and actions.

The title and class of the document appear at the top of the tab. The following fields all display information associated with the version identified by the major and minor Version Numbers. By going to the Properties tab, you can open a property sheet for a different document version.

Document Title
Modify the title of the document. Enterprise Manager uses the filename of the document as the default value. You can change this value to something more descriptive. Other client software can assign this value differently. This property value cannot contain the following characters: \ / *

NOTE  Renaming a document in this way is the same as Rename a document.

Class
The document class of the version.
Checked out by: user, date and time
The checkout information for the document, if the document is checked out.
Size (KB)

Classification Status
The automatic classification status of the document. The possible values are:

Version Status

Whether the document inherits security from a folder in addition to its other sources of security. Choose the folder using the list of available folders, which are the folders the document is currently filed in. The chosen folder becomes the security parent of the document.
See "Security parent" in Understanding security inheritance for more information.
