FileNet P8 Content Engine, Version 5.0.+

Configuring Content Engine instances by using the graphical user interface

You can use the graphical user interface version of Configuration Manager to configure and deploy a Content Engine application instance on an application server.

First, you create a configuration profile that defines:
  • The JDBC data source settings
  • The login modules for the Content Engine application
  • The directory service provider (LDAP) settings
  • The Content Engine bootstrap settings

You can follow the recommended order to edit and run the individual configuration tasks. However, you can edit and run the Configure GCD JDBC Data Sources, Configure Login Modules, Configure LDAP properties, and Configure Bootstrap tasks in any order. You do not need to complete work on one configuration task before starting another. You can save your edits, switch between tasks, close the tasks, and reopen tasks as needed. However, you must complete all of these tasks before you deploy the application.
