You must verify that the IBM® InfoSphere™ Enterprise Records installation was successful,
and that the InfoSphere Enterprise
Records web
application is deployed correctly on your application server before
you start configure your system. To verify whether the installation
and deployment were successful, use a Web browser to navigate to the InfoSphere Enterprise
Records web application. If the
sign-in page displays, then the installation and deployment were successful.
Remember: Use this procedure to verify successful
deployment only. InfoSphere Enterprise
Records is
not yet fully configured for use.
To verify the InfoSphere Enterprise
Records installation
and deployment:
- Open the following URL in a Web browser: http://RM_web_application_server:port#/RM_web_application_name or http://RM_web_application_server:port#/Context_root where:
- RM_web_application_server is the fully qualified
name of the server where the InfoSphere Enterprise
Records web
application is deployed.
- port# is the port number where the InfoSphere Enterprise
Records application is listening.
The port number information is dependent on the web application server
software.
- RM_web_application_name or Context_root is
the name that you assigned to the application during deployment (by
default, RecordsManager).
If the application is deployed successfully,
the InfoSphere Enterprise
Records sign-in page
displays.
- Sign in to the InfoSphere Enterprise
Records web
application as a user who is assigned both the Application Engine or Workplace XT Administrators access
role and the Records Administrator role to see the InfoSphere Enterprise
Records home page.
