Creating CE property templates
This task associates each report parameter with a Content Engine property template, and assigns the property templates to the ReportsHolding class. There are four parameters:
- fileplan_browse: This parameter exists for other reports, and the corresponding CE property template can be reused. No action is needed.
- start_date: This parameter already exists. No action needed.
- end_date: This parameter already exists. No action needed.
- media_type: This is a new parameter, and requires a property template
This task assumes that you are familiar with Content Engine and FileNet Enterprise Manager.
To create a new a property template:
- Log on to FileNet Enterprise Manager and navigate to the target file plan object store (FPOS).
- Right-click Property Templates, and select New Property Template.
- On the Create a Property Template dialog, Enter the following values for the corresponding fields:
Name: Specify Media Type. "Specify Media Type" displays on the Managing Report Criteria page in IBM InfoSphere Enterprise Records, prompting the user to specify a media type value.
Symbolic Name: media_ type. This value must match the parameter name created in report template.
Description: RMReport. You must always enter RMReport.
- On the next page, select String as the data type and click Next.
- Accept the default settings (no choice list or markings), and click Next.
- Select Single Value, and click Next to create the property template.
- In FileNet Enterprise Manager, navigate to Other Classes > Custom Object > Report Holdings.
- Right-click Report Holdings to add the Media Type property to this class.
