You can add objects to an export manifest by using the Add to Export Manifest command, available through the MMC Action menu, the pop-up menu, and a toolbar icon. When you add objects to the export manifest, Enterprise Manager automatically displays them under the appropriate object type node. You do not need to refresh the object store to see the new entries.
NOTE The use of Enterprise Manager or its related command-line tool to create an export manifest, or to export or import objects, is deprecated and it is recommended that you use FileNet Deployment Manager instead for these operations. For more information, see Exporting and importing.
The following sections show you three methods you can use to add objects to the export manifest:
To add all objects contained in an object store to an export manifest
To add a specific object to an export manifest
For example, if you want to add a specific choice list to the export manifest, select the choice list in the details pane. Right-click the specific choice list and click Add to Export Manifest. The Include Options window opens with the Include all associated objects radio button preselected. This option adds the selected object, such as Choice Lists, and all objects associated with it to the Export Manifest.
You can also limit the objects included on the export manifest. For details, see Choose objects to include.
To add a specific type of object to the export manifest
For example, to add document classes and subclasses to the export manifest, right-click Document Classes and click All Tasks > Add to Export Manifest.
You can also limit the objects included on the export manifest. For details, see Choose objects to include.
For class definitions, folders, or other objects with hierarchies, you can add the object to the export manifest or choose an additional option: Add to Export Manifest (include subclasses and subfolders). This adds the entire hierarchy, including the selected object and everything below it. You can still use the Include Options window to further customize the objects you add to the export manifest.
