InfoSphere Enterprise Records, Version 4.5.1.3+

Deploying InfoSphere Enterprise Records on the application server

After you re-deploy Application Engine or Workplace XT on the application server, you can deploy IBM® InfoSphere™ Enterprise Records on the application server. You need the WAR or EAR file to deploy InfoSphere Enterprise Records on the application server.

If you repackaged the InfoSphere Enterprise Records WAR or EAR file during the client installation process, then you do not need to re-package the files again unless you have changed the installed directory after installing the client files. If you chose to defer the creation of the deployment files, you must use the InfoSphere Enterprise Records BAT (Windows) or SH (UNIX) file under the deploy directory to package the deployment files before you deploy the InfoSphere Enterprise Records web application.

To repackage the deployment (.war and .ear) files, in a command window, change the directory path to RM_install_path/FileNet/RM/deploy, and then enter the following:

Table 1. Commands for creating the .war and .ear files
Operating system Command
Windows
create_records_manager_war.bat
create_records_manager_ear.bat
UNIX
create_records_manager_war.sh
create_records_manager_ear.sh
If you run the .ear deployment file creation script, the system automatically runs the .war file creation script.
