Create, load, and save a SQL query

To create and run a query using SQL commands and optionally load and save SQL queries

  1. Select and right click the object store's Search Results node.
  2. Select New Search to create a search. The Content Engine Query Builder opens.
  3. On the View menu, click SQL View. Open the View menu again and select Search Mode or Template Designer Mode.
  4. Enter SQL text representing the selection criteria and column definitions. There might already be SQL text, representing any search criteria set in the Simple View.
  5. Optionally, click Load (on the right side of the window) to open a saved *.qry file from the network which will replace any text already in the SQL text window.
  6. Optionally, click Save (on the right side of the window) to save just the SQL text as a *.qry file in a network location.
  7. Click OK to run the search. Any results will appear under the Search Results node.
