Configuring InfoSphere Enterprise Records Crystal Reports

You must ensure that you have installed supported versions of Crystal Reports Server and Designer, copied all relevant files, and installed the Content Engine Java™ Client files before you can configure IBM® InfoSphere™ Enterprise Records Crystal Reports.

Tip: In a clustered Content Engine environment on Windows, you might need to add the IP address for Content Engine into the \system32\drivers\etc\hosts file on Windows in order to retrieve reports in InfoSphere Enterprise Records.

To configure InfoSphere Enterprise Records Crystal Reports:

  1. Verify the following:
    1. You have the supported versions of Crystal Reports Server and Designer installed.

      See IBM FileNet® P8 Hardware and Software Requirements for details.

      Important: (Windows® 2003 SP 1 only) Before installing Crystal Reports, you must set Data Execution Protection for essential Windows programs and services only. See Manual configuration steps.
    2. You have copied all relevant files to the Crystal Reports server as part of the task Copying the required configuration files.
    3. You have performed the tasks described in Adding report viewing support (Optional).
    4. You have installed the Content Engine Java Client files on the Crystal Reports server as part of the task Installing Content Engine and Process Engine client files.
    5. The name of the server hosting the Crystal Reports Application Server is specified in the Application Engine or Workplace XT site preferences (General view > Report application server path).
  2. You have backed up the existing Crystal Reports templates found in the following directory: install_drive:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11\Samples\En\Reports.
  3. Depending on the InfoSphere Enterprise Records configuration you are upgrading, perform one of the following actions:
