Create an isolated region

You define an isolated region as part of the procedure for specifying how client applications access Process functionality. An isolated region specifies a Process Engine and a subdivision of the workflow database. For a summary of the entire procedure, see Concepts: Isolated regions.

To create an isolated region

  1. In Enterprise Manager, right-click the PE Region Ids folder in the domain.
  2. Choose New PE Region ID.
  3. In the Create a Process Engine Region ID wizard, enter the Process Engine server name, the naming service port, and a number (1 - 999) for the isolated region in the workflow database.

NOTE  You can create only 5 isolated regions. Enterprise Manager is configured with a URL, such as http://MyCEServer:7001/wsi/FNCEWS40MTOM, to connect to Content Engine. If you create more than 63 isolated regions and an error message appears, change the Enterprise Manager URL to http://MyCEServer:7001/wsi/FNCEWS40SOAP and restart Enterprise Manager if necessary.
