Create a data store

Before processing SharePoint documents, you must first create a new data store using the Configuration Manager. A database must also be set up and created before creating a data store. The data store contains configuration settings and data used by the Configuration Manager. You can create one or more data stores. After you create a data store, you can create a connection.

To create a new data store
  1. Set up your database.
  2. Open the Configuration Manager.
  3. Click Create New Data Store.
  4. Enter the name of the new data store.
  5. Select Make this my active data store.
  6. Enter the machine name on which this data store is located and login information.
  7. Click Retrieve Databases.
  8. Select the database that was created during the IBM FileNet Connector for SharePoint Document Libraries installation procedure and save your settings.
