Specify storage area folder

Enter the new shared folder location (on a local or remote server) for the storage area.

New Storage Area Location
Type or browse to the location of the relocated storage area. The location information must use the following format:

For Windows, the location format is <server name>\<share name>\<storage area folder>. New Storage Area Location displays a list of shares found on the local server. If you use one of these shares, be sure to append the name of the storage area root folder to the share name.

For UNIX, the location format is <server name>/<share name>/<storage area folder>. For example, in the case where the file stores are located on the mounted file system /p8data/filestores, the New Storage Area Location for a file store named collateral would be /p8data/filestores/collateral. This should be the same as the location of the fn_stakefile.xml file for the file store you are moving.

If you create a DFS link to a shared folder, specify the DFS link name in place of the share name. For example, the location information for the storage area named collateral is: \\Hq1\Marketing\FS_collateral (Windows) or /Hq1/Marketing/FS_collateral (UNIX).
