Marking sets are property values that control access to
the objects in an entire FileNet® P8 domain.
Add-ons are custom implementations of classes, objects, and properties
that support extensions to core Content Engine features
and other applications that integrate with Content Engine. Before you can use marking
sets and add-ons with IBM® InfoSphere™ Enterprise Records,
you must add them to your domain by running the creation tool.
To add marking sets and add-ons to your domain:
- Log on to InfoSphere Enterprise
Records from
the Application Engine server as
a local administrator.
- Run the creation tool:
Operating system |
Location |
UNIX® |
RM_install_path/FileNet/RM/RMCreationTool.sh |
Windows® |
RM_install_path/FileNet/RM/RMCreationTool.bat |
- Enter the Content Engine URL
in the following format: http://CE_server_name:port#/wsi/FNCEWS40MTOM If your environment uses SSL, then use HTTPS instead
of HTTP. For high availability environments,
enter the virtual server name.
- Log on as the GCD Administrator. Select one or more data
models and click Create.
- Verify that the marking sets and add-ons were created by
checking the log file: RM_install_path/FileNet/RM/CreationTool.log
- (DoD
Classified only) For the DoD Classified data model, you
need to configure the security categories to suit your environment
and user groups. By default, no users are assigned to the Top Secret,
Secret, and Confidential categories. Authenticated users are assigned
to the Unclassified security category. For DoD, the Records Administrator
and the Records Manager with GCD administrator rights should update
the security settings for these markings. For example, it is necessary
to add users and groups to the Top Secret, Secret, and Confidential
markings.
