Select a workflow

Assigning a workflow is optional. If your entry template does not need a workflow, skip to the next appropriate step. If you change your mind about the type of workflow you selected, you can back up within this step by selecting items in the Path.

To assign a built-in workflow to the new object

  1. Select Define New.
  2. Select the type of workflow: Fixed Approval Workflow or Sequential Approval Workflow.
  3. Set the launch settings for the workflow.
  4. To allow the user to choose the participants for the workflow, select the Yes, display participant selection at launch time check box. By default, this option is not selected.

To assign a custom workflow to the new object

  1. Click Select Existing. A list of available object stores is displayed.
  2. Select the object store name where your custom workflow is saved. A list of available workflows is displayed.
  3. Click Select or Select from Versions below the description of the desired workflow. If the workflow has more than one version, click Select beneath the version you want to use.
  4. Set the launch settings for the workflow.
