Verifying the installed search template

Using the IBM® InfoSphere™ Enterprise Records web application, you can verify the installed search template.

Before you test the search templates, make sure you have added a few documents to your object store. If you plan to test content based searches, make sure you have completed Configuring the object stores for content-based retrieval (CBR).

To verify the search template:

  1. Log on to the InfoSphere Enterprise Records web Application.
  2. Select the Search tab.
  3. Click Search Templates > Stored Searches.
  4. Click RMSearchTemplate.
  5. Specify values in the search criteria.
  6. If needed, change the value for the Max Results returned.
  7. Click Search to run the search.
  8. Click Restore Defaults to restore the default values in the search criteria.
  9. If the search template does not display correctly in the InfoSphere Enterprise Records Web Application, use IBM FileNet® Enterprise Manager to complete the following actions:
    1. Delete the search template from the FPOS.
    2. Reimport the template to the object store. For more information, see the FileNet P8Version 5.0 Information Center topic Working with documents > Working with records > Using the InfoSphere Enterprise Records application > Information Pages.
