You can install an instance of Enterprise Manager in addition to the one that
you already installed.
Important: Do not install Enterprise Manager version 5.0.0 or the COM
Compatibility Clients API on any machine that is running the 3.5 version,
at least until the Content Engine 5.0.0
upgrade is complete. Otherwise, you will no longer be able to run Enterprise Manager 3.5 against any remaining
3.5 object stores. You might be required to use Enterprise Manager to prepare for upgrading
the 3.5 object stores.
Remember: You can install Enterprise Manager only on a Windows® machine by using the Windows version of the Content Engine installation media.
To install an additional instance of Enterprise Manager:
- Open
your completed Installation and Upgrade Worksheet file.
Tip: In the worksheet file, verify that the command is enabled. To view only Content Engine values, filter by CE
Installer in the Installation or Configuration
Program column.
- On the machine where
you install Enterprise Manager,
log on as a member of the Local Administrators group or the Power
Users group.
- If you have
not already done so, install the required Windows components.
