Create an entry template to declare physical records

For declaring physical records in IBM InfoSphere Enterprise Records, you can create entry templates that specify physical record declaration templates. By default, IBM InfoSphere Enterprise Records includes the IBM InfoSphere Enterprise Records Physical Record Declare Template that helps you to declare physical records. The physical record declare entry template can provide predefined records classes, record classification, and properties, and some of the wizard pages can be hidden for faster processing. IBM InfoSphere Enterprise Records supports more than one entry template. At the time of declaring a physical record, you can select a template from the available list of templates.

Using the Workplace application, you can create record declaration entry templates. The Add Entry Template Wizard in Workplace walks you through each step of creating an entry template. You must have access to the Advanced Tools in the Author page to create entry templates. See About Entry Template Designer and Entry templates for Declare as Record in the Help for Entry Template Designer for more information.
