Storage area properties (Statistics tab)
The Statistics tab is one of the property sheets for the storage area. To access the tab, right-click a storage area, click Properties, and click Statistics. The tab shows the following properties.
- File count
- The number of content files stored in the storage area. For a fixed storage area, this number does not include the content files that reside in the associated external fixed content system (that is, it might not include the majority of the files).
- Free bytes
- This property is obsolete.
- File bytes
- The number of bytes of content stored on the disk volume in which the storage area resides. This number might be less than the total disk size of the content files because of the file system block size. For a fixed storage area, this number does not include the content files that reside in the associated external fixed content system (that is, it might not include the majority of the files).
- Total disk bytes
- This property is obsolete.
- Last modified
- The date of the last change made to the storage area.
- Files created
- The number of content files created in the storage area.
- Files deleted
- The number of content files deleted from the storage area.
- Maximum Number of Elements
- The maximum number of content files. You initially specify this maximum when you create the storage area. You can set the maximum to the following values:
- Unlimited
You can specify the maximum to be an unlimited number of content files.
- Specific value
You can specify the maximum to be a specific number of content files. You must set this maximum to be greater than or equal to the current value for the file count property. Content Engine prevents the addition of new content to the storage area when the file count statistic exceeds this maximum. (The file count statistic might exceed this maximum because Content Engine manages statistics on a delayed basis and multiple servers can be adding content.)
- Maximum Size
- The maximum size of the content. You initially specify this maximum when you create the storage area. You can set the maximum to the following values:
- Maximum allowed on device
You can specify the maximum to be the maximum number of bytes of content available on the disk volume in which the storage area resides.
- Specific value
You can specify the maximum to be a specific number of bytes of content. You must set this maximum to be greater than or equal to the current value for the file bytes property. Content Engine prevents the addition of new content to the storage area when the file bytes statistic exceeds this maximum. (The file bytes statistic might exceed this maximum because Content Engine manages statistics on a delayed basis and multiple servers can be adding content.)
