Storage areas

The file storage area must be located on a UNIX NFS, Windows DFS, GPFS, or NTFS file system.

Restriction GPFS allows the creation of extremely large file systems. IBM recommends that you do not create a single, over-sized file storage area. The best practice to manage your storage areas is to continue to create several storage areas in order to spread content.
