Tasks page preferences

The Tasks page site preferences determine the filter criteria settings and the column fields and names displayed in the My Inbox and Public Inboxes views in Workplace.

My Inbox and Public Inboxes

NOTE If you are working with public inboxes, you must first select an inbox you want to modify before configuring an inbox's criteria and column settings.

Simple criteria settings

Because an inbox can contain a large number of items, you can restrict the items displayed for faster access and minimize the amount of time users spend locating items in their inbox. You specify the field name and operator used to filter a user's inbox.

Select the data field and operator you want to use for filtering an inbox. For example, if you want to filter the inbox by Name, select F_Subject* (string) for the data field and select = for the operator.

Column settings

Main Column is the first column that is displayed as the Task Name. The default setting is F_Subject* and the column label assigned is Name. Select the Data Field you want to appear as the Task Name and enter its display name in the Column Label field.

Select the names of additional columns in the Detailed view section and enter their display names in the Column Label field.

NOTE The name specified in a Column Label field is always associated with the Data Field you select. For example, if you select F_Subject* for a data field and assign My Name as its column label, each time you select F_Subject*, My Name remains its column label until you change it.
