Reindexing an object

Reindex an object to rebuild the index information for the object. Only an object that belongs to an indexable class can be reindexed.

Reindexing an object is an alternative to waiting until class reindexing completes and can be useful for query testing purposes. You might also reindex an object to verify that the object is indexed.

To reindex an object:

In the Enterprise Manager content pane, right-click the object and click All Tasks > Index for Content Search. An index job is created.
