Validation errors
Content Consistency
Checker categorizes each file in the storage area with an error type. Each error type has a possible resolution.
- Missing file
- The document is valid, but its content is missing. This error can occur if the document was previously deleted and then restored without restoring the content at the same time.
Resolution:
You can delete the document or restore the content file. You can obtain the path for the file from the content element resource name property of the document; the path enables you to search backup archives for the
file.
- Bad size
- The object store size for the file does not match the size of the file in the storage area. For example, the incorrect size can result if the file in the storage area is an old version or has been overwritten by another file.
Resolution:
Examine the document content and restore the proper file if possible.
- Can't validate
- The file has unidentified errors that prevented validation.
These errors are rare.
- Unreachable area
- The file could not be located. An unreachable area can occur if the file is stored on a remote system and the network is down.
Resolution: After you reestablish
your network connection, run the Content Consistency Checker again to
see if these errors are eliminated.
- Access denied
- You did not have read permission for the file.
Resolution: To run
Content Consistency Checker, you must log on as a user with read permissions
for all documents within the storage areas you are checking. Typically, you meet this requirement if you are a member of one of the object store
administrative groups.
- Fixed storage area
- The file is stored in a fixed storage area.
Resolution:
The error status legend for fixed storage areas describes the error encountered, and lists ways you can correct the error.
- Bad referral: The referral associated with this file has become corrupted. You can replace the referral file with a backup copy.
- Missing referral: The referral data most likely has not been migrated. Determine why migration failed.
- Content error: The referral data associated with the file points to content that cannot be loaded. The problem resolution is unknown.
- Unknown errors
- The file has an error that does not fall in any other category.
