Draw a rectangle

The Rectangle drawing tool draws a solid rectangle on an image. The following examples show a solid rectangle drawn on an image. The first example shows a rectangle with transparent fill color. The second example shows the toolbar and resize controls for the annotation.

To draw a rectangle

  1. Click the Rectangle drawing tool.
  2. Mark the upper left corner and lower right corner for the rectangle, using one of these methods:

To select a rectangle after drawing it

  1. Click the Select/edit tool on the annotation toolbar.
  2. Click on or inside the rectangle. This displays the toolbar you use to adjust the security, line thickness, line color, fill color, or position.

To change the line color

  1. Click the Line Color button to open the Color Picker.
  2. Select the desired color from the Color Picker.
  3. Click OK to save the color changes.

To change the fill color

  1. Click the Fill Color button to open the Color Picker.
  2. Select the desired color from the Color Picker. To make the fill completely transparent, click the X instead of a specific color.
  3. Click OK to save the color changes.

To move an annotation

  1. Click the Select/edit annotation tool on the annotation toolbar.
  2. Click on the annotation and hold down the mouse button while you drag the annotation to a new location.
  3. When the annotation is in the correct location, release the mouse button.
