InfoSphere Enterprise Records, Version 4.5.1.3+

(DoD Classified only) Creating the classified records security personnel access role

You can create the Classified Records Security Personnel access role on the IBM® FileNet® P8 system for use with the DoD Classified data model. A member of this access role can upgrade, downgrade, set the declassification timeframe, and declassify a classified record in IBM InfoSphere™ Enterprise Records.

You can skip this task if you are upgrading from FileNet Records Manager 4.0 or 4.5 and you already created the Classified Records Security Personnel access role as part of installing or upgrading from FileNet Records Manager 3.7.

Important: Be aware that users assigned the Application Engine Administrators access role are members of all defined access roles, including the Classified Security Personnel access role. For more information:
  • If your IBM FileNet P8 system is Version 4.5.1: See the IBM FileNet P8 help topic Application Engine > Admin Tools > Site Preferences > Access Roles preferences.
  • If your IBM FileNet P8 system is Version 5.0: See the IBM FileNet P8 Version 5.0 Information Center topic Working with documents > Working with documents with Workplace > Site preferences > Compound document preferences > Access roles.
To run the Access Role tool:
  1. To access the worksheet file, p8_worksheet.xls, that contains the parameter values to specify in the IBM InfoSphere Enterprise Records installation, see Using the installation and upgrade worksheet section. In the worksheet file, verify that the Data > Filter > AutoFilter command is enabled.
  2. On your InfoSphere Enterprise Records server, navigate to: RM_install_path/FileNet/RM
  3. Create the Classified Records Security Personnel access role, as follows:
    1. Run RMAccessRole.sh (UNIX®) or RMAccessRole.bat (Windows®) file and enter the required information. If the access role already exists on the object store, the script returns the following message: Access role is not created since the role name Classified Records Security Personnel already existed. No further action is required.
    2. Click the Create Role button.
    3. Close the command-line window.
