Redeploying Application Engine or Workplace XT

Redeploy Application Engine or Workplace XT following steps depending on which application server software that you use: WebSphere® Application Server, WebLogic Server, or JBoss Application Server.

Important: When running IBM® InfoSphere™ Enterprise Records on IBM FileNet® P8 Platform 4.5, verify the steps in the Increasing the application server transaction time-out topic have been complete, especially when upgrading from FileNet Records Manager 3.7.

To redeploy Application Engine or Workplace XT:

  1. Start the application server.
  2. Redeploy the application:
    Option Description
    Application Engine

    To deploy Application Engine, refer to the IBM FileNet P8 Platform Installation and Upgrade Guide.

    Workplace XT

    To deploy Workplace XT, refer to the IBM FileNet Workplace XT Installation and Upgrade Guide.

  3. (Windows® only) Restart the required services:
    Option Description
    Application Engine Process Application Engine Services Manager
    Workplace XT Process Workplace XT Services Manager
  4. If necessary, restart Component Manager from Process Task Manager, then exit the Process Task Manager application.
