Define Step Map

Step 2 of the Add Workflow Policy Wizard is to complete the four steps of the Step Policy Wizard which maps fields in each workflow step, if desired, to an ITX form template.

Once you complete the steps in the Step Policy Wizard, you return to this page (Define Step Map) where you can add toolbars and toolbar functions to each page of the workflow from the Advanced options page. Advanced options are not available for steps that have no map. Details are outlined below.

NOTE   Multi-select actions work only when the same ITX form template is used for multiple steps.

Create Step Map

  1. Check the steps you want to map.
  2. Click Define Step Maps. The Define Step Map page opens at step 1 of the Step Policy Wizard.
  3. Complete the four steps of the Step Policy Wizard. Once complete, this page (Define Step Map) appears again and lets you access the Advanced Options. See Select Form Template - Step Manager for details on the Step Policy Wizard.
  4. Set Advanced Options, as outlined below, and click Next to proceed to Step 3 of the Create Workflow Policy Wizard, Select Folder.

NOTE   Advanced options are not accessible until you complete a step map.

To choose which pages of an ITX form template are available for each step, specify toolbar button settings, custom commands, and configure layout options, click Advanced Options. See Define Step Map - Advanced Options for details on these settings.
