Use the Security Policy tab to view, modify, or access the security policy assigned to the custom object.
If the Preserve Direct ACEs option is off on the template's security policy, all non-inherited access rights (default, direct, and template access rights) are removed from the security list when the template access rights are applied. To apply a security template and also manually enter access rights, first apply the security template and then enter any manual changes.
Access rights assigned from a template are different from direct access rights, such as system defaults and assignments you make directly. Even with administrator privileges, you cannot remove or modify access rights from templates on the Enterprise Manager security tab. You can only remove access rights from templates by applying a new security template.
The Content Engine automatically applies versioning security templates. To avoid conflicts, you cannot use the check box to apply a security template if the selected security policy contains versioning security templates. You can apply a security template if the selected security policy contains only application security templates.
