Object stores reside in Content Engine, and are created by using
the FileNet Enterprise Manager. Usually, your system administrator
will have to create the object stores for you in FileNet Enterprise
Manager and you configure the object stores. Contact your system administrator
to create object stores or assign existing object stores to your records
management environment.
- When creating a new FPOS object store, verify that the users and
groups that you add to the object store administrators group are assigned
the role of Records Administrator on the FPOS.
- Do not use periods in the FPOS name. You cannot declare a record
if a period is included in the object store name.
- Typically, there are many users with access to the ROS, but they
do not have access to the entities in the FPOS. You can have more
than one ROS associated with one FPOS.
- For compliance, the file storage area of any ROS that uses DoD,
DoD Classified, or PRO data models must be configured to use Purge
as delete method.
- For more information on working with object stores, see Create an object store wizard.
