Pop-up menus and actions

Pop-up menus are menus that are accessed when you right-click an item name in an application's page or when you click the Actions Menu link in Browse or Search in Workplace.

The menu contains a list of actions specific to the selected item and determined by the preferences set up by your site administrator. The same list of actions is also available from an item's information page. For a list of actions and links to more information about each, see Work with actions.

You can access pop-up menus from the Browse or Search. When a list of items is displayed in Browse or as Search results, the left column contains a check box. You can select (check) one or more check boxes, and then click Actions Menu to display the pop-up menu.

NOTE  The Workplace pop-up menus are not displayed when you right-click an item in the left sidebar.

In some instances you will access your browser's pop-up menus when you right-click. The browser menu items do not access Workplace-related tasks.
