Query and bulk operations (Actions tab)

The Bulk Operations Actions tab is available in the Query Builder and during multiselect operations.

On the Actions tab, you can:

Delete Objects
Deletes each selected object only if it meets the deletion requirements. For example, if you selected choice lists that were assigned to a property template, the system generates an error and does not delete the disqualified choice lists.
Add to Export Manifest
Select this check box to add the results of the query to the export Manifest. This check box is hidden during multiselect operations using the multiselect menu.
Index for Content Search
Select this check box to include indexing for objects returned from searches and for multiselect operations. For multiselect operations, if none of the objects selected is a Document, Annotation, Folder, Custom Object, or Class Definition, the check box is disabled. Each of the objects processed is added to a single Index Job that is saved at the end of processing.
Undo Checkout
If a selected object is checked out, this option cancels the checkout. This applies only to versionable objects. If you attempt to apply this option to non-versionable objects or if the operation was unsuccessful, the system generates an error.
Lifecycle Actions
These options enable you to choose lifecycle operations to perform on the selected versionable objects. A selected option enables the specified action. A cleared check box disables it. The following paragraphs describe each of these actions:

NOTE  The Lifecycle Actions apply only to objects that support lifecycles. Selecting them for objects that do not support lifecycles generates an error.

File in Folder
Adds selected containable objects (documents, custom objects, and folders) to the folder specified. This action does not add new objects to storage on the Content Engine. It simply adds a reference to the existing objects to the folder specified.

NOTE  This action applies only to objects stored in folders or containers. If you attempt to file non-containable objects, Content Engine generates an error.

Unfile From Folder
Removes the reference to selected containable objects (documents, custom objects, and folders) from the folder specified. This action does not delete objects from storage on the Content Engine.

To locate the folder, select one of the following options:
