FileNet P8 domain object properties (General tab)
The General tab provides general information about FileNet P8 domain objects.
- Name
- The name assigned to the object during creation. The name can contain upper- or lowercase letters, numbers, spaces, and symbols, to a maximum of 64 characters.
- Date Created
- The date the object was created.
- Creator
- The name of the object's creator.
- Forward Requests
- For site objects, allows the site to forward requests to the geographically nearest server to minimize WAN traffic. The default setting is to not forward requests from the site.
- Accept Forwarded Requests
- For site objects, allows the site to accept forwarded requests. If selected, the site determines if any virtual servers have their Request Forwarding Endpoint set so that they can handle the forwarded requests.
The default setting is to not receive forwarded requests (even if the Request Forwarding Endpoint for a virtual server is set).
- Request Forwarding Endpoint
- For virtual server objects, the URL of the Java™ technology Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) endpoint for the virtual server. If you leave this blank, the virtual server will not accept forwarded requests. The URL uses the following format: <server_name>:<port>/FileNet/Engine.
Examples for the supported application servers are as follows:
WebLogic: t3://localhost:7001/FileNet/Engine
WebSphere: iiop://localhost:2809/FileNet/Engine
JBoss: jnp://localhost:1099/FileNet/Engine
- Host Names
- For server instance objects, a list of the fully qualified DNS host names associated with the server instance. Each time the server instance starts, this property is updated to reflect the server's current host name values. Use this property to help you identify all of the Content Engine server instances that are configured on the same host.
