Deleting IBM Legacy Content Search Engine indexed objects

After you disable IBM® Legacy Content Search Engine, you can delete the IBM Legacy Content Search Engine indexed objects from the Content Engine database to free up that storage space on your computer.

When you disable IBM Legacy Content Search Engine, the index migration process does not remove the Verity index objects from the Content Engine database.

To delete indexed objects from the Content Engine database:

  1. Log on to Enterprise Manager as the GCD Administrator and expand the Enterprise Manager tree.
  2. Expand the Object Store node and select the Index Area category.
  3. Open the first Verity index area on the list and click Delete. The Verity index area and all of the Verity collections under it are deleted.
  4. Repeat the previous step for each of the Verity index areas on the list.
  5. Click Root mode in the left pane and select Properties.
  6. Click the Verity Domain Configurations tab.
  7. Delete each of the Verity Domain Configuration objects from this page.
Restriction: You cannot delete Verity Server Configuration objects. Their presence has no impact on the system
  8. Delete the physical data of the Verity collections by using the K2 Dashboard.
