Once you configure a connection and collector and create a task route, you can process the SharePoint documents. In addition, you can run a test archive process on a test system that represents your production environment. Use the test system to confirm the configuration is set up and working as expected before performing a production deployment. Another option is to run the archive process, but not include the post-processing task in the task route. After the SharePoint documents are copied and verified they exist in an IBM FileNet P8 object store, you can include the post-processing task and run the archive process again in a production environment.
NOTE By default, SharePoint (IIS 6.0) has default recycling settings that periodically restart the worker process. As a result of process recycling, failures might occur while transferring documents from a SharePoint document library to an IBM FileNet P8 object store. To avoid the failures, change or disable the IIS recycling setting. Refer to your Microsoft documentation for information on configuring the IIS recycling setting.
The Configuration Manager creates three different log files to monitor the process while in progress.
To learn more about log files and how they are used, consult "Logging and Error Handling" in the Configuration Manager help system.
