Configuring the IBM InfoSphere Enterprise Records server

You can configure IBM® InfoSphere™ Enterprise Records by removing existing instances of installed and configured Web application software and Crystal Reports software, and then installing the latest version of Crystal Reports along with additional Crystal Reports files.

To configure the InfoSphere Enterprise Records server:

  1. If the InfoSphere Enterprise Records Web Application was previously installed and configured, remove it using the appropriate application server administrative tool:
    Option Description
    WebSphere® Application Server From the WebSphere Application Server administrative console:
    1. Stop the InfoSphere Enterprise Records Web Application process.
    2. Remove the InfoSphere Enterprise Records Web Application from Enterprise Applications.
    WebLogic Server From the WebLogic Server Console, remove the InfoSphere Enterprise Records Web Application.
    JBoss Application Server For JBoss Application Server:
    1. Stop the JBoss Application Server Server.
    2. Remove the InfoSphere Enterprise Records application by removing the RecordsManager.war directory from JBOSS_HOME/server/default/deploy/.
    3. Remove the RecordsManager temporary working directory for InfoSphere Enterprise Records from JBOSS_HOME/server/default/work/MainEngine/localhost/.
  2. If you are upgrading from Crystal Reports 11 to Crystal Report 2008 or Crystal Reports 2008 V1, then you must delete the previously installed Crystal Reports JAR files in the RM_install_path/FileNet/RM/RecordsManager/WEB-INF/lib.

  3. Copy the crystalreportviewers12 directory from the machine where Crystal Reports Server is installed to the RM_install_path/FileNet/RM/RecordsManager directory on the Application Engine or Workplace XT server. Typically, the crystalreportviewers12 folder is in: C:\Program Files\Business Objects\common\4.0.
  4. Copy the following Crystal Reports JAR files to the RM_install_path/FileNet/RM/RecordsManager/WEB-INF/lib directory on the Application Engine or Workplace XT server. Typically, these JAR files are in: C:\Program Files\Business Objects\common\4.0\java\lib.

    • ceplugins_core.jar

    • cereports.jar

    • logging.jar
    • MetafileRenderer.jar
    • pluginhelper.jar
    • rasapp.jar
    • rascore.jar
    • reporttemplate.jar
    • serialization.jar
    • SL_plugins.jar (Crystal Reports 2008 V1)
    • webreporting.jar
    • xcelsius.jar
  5. Copy the following Crystal Reports JAR files to the RM_install_path/FileNet/RM/RecordsManager/WEB-INF/lib directory on the Application Engine or Workplace XT server. Typically, these JAR files are in: C:\Program Files\Business Objects\common\4.0\java\lib\external.
