Change a style set for an object store
Change the style set for an object store to configure the Autonomy K2 index and search server behavior for the object store. The style set can be changed by switching to a new style set or by modifying the files in the current style set. When switching to a new style set, you import the style set to the Autonomy K2 master administration server. The style set is copied automatically from the administration server to the collection directory for new collections.
When changing a style set for multiple object stores that share the same Content Engine servers, complete this procedure for one object store at a time. The index jobs that run as part of this procedure to reindex existing collections can run concurrently when the index jobs are for different object stores. Concurrently running index jobs might affect system performance.
To change the style set for an object store
- If you are switching to a new style set, import the new style set. For more information, see Import a style set.
- Modify the style files in the object store style set directory appropriately. For reference information about the
P8CSE50
style set files, see P8CSE50 style set reference.
- Reindex each CBR-enabled base class with subclasses. Choosing to reindex with subclasses replaces existing collections with new collections that use the new or modified style set. For information about reindexing a class, see Reindex.
- Monitor the index jobs to verify that they complete successfully. For more information, see Manage index jobs.
Import a style set
To import a style set for an object store
- On the machine for the Autonomy K2 master administration server, copy the style set directory to a new directory at the same level. The style set directories can be found at this location:
<install_path>\verity\data\stylesets\
. For example, copy the P8CSE50
directory.
- Rename the directory to incorporate the name of the object store. For example, you might have the following directory for the LaurelTree object store:
<install_path>\verity\data\stylesets\P8CSE50_laureltree
.
- Add a text file to the style set directory to note the modifications made. Give the text file a
.txt
file name extension to ensure that Autonomy K2 ignores the file.
- Import the new style set using the Autonomy K2 Dashboard. For more information, consult your Autonomy documentation. (For information about accessing the Autonomy documentation, see Accessing the Autonomy K2 documentation.)
- Assign the style set for each index area for the object store. For more information, see Assign the style set for an index area.
