Configuring Crystal Reports with IBM InfoSphere Enterprise Records

The reports in Crystal Reports provide a statistical view of many of the activities performed by IBM® InfoSphere™ Enterprise Records. For example, you can generate a report that identifies all of the electronic folders created during a given time period using the Electronic Folders Created Within a Specific Period report.

Configuring Crystal Reports:

Restriction:
  • An SSL-enabled Process Engine cannot be collocated with the Crystal Reports Application Server. Due to a conflict between the versions of the DLL nss3.dll used by the two products, you cannot collocate it with the Crystal Reports Application Server if the Process Engine is configured with SSL.
  • (Windows® 2003 SP 1 only) Before you install Crystal Reports you must set Data Execution Protection (DEP) for essential Windows programs and services only. Failure to do this prevents services required by Crystal Reports from starting automatically.
On the Windows 2003 server, complete the following steps:
    1. Click My Computer, and select Properties .
    2. Select the Advanced tab.
    3. Select Performance Settings.
    4. Select the Data Execution Prevention tab.
    5. Select the Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only option.
    6. Click OK.
    7. Click OK.
  • The Content Engine Java™ TM Client connectivity module must be installed on the Crystal Reports server.
