Save

While you are editing a checked out version of a document, you can do a series of intermediate saves of the document's content before your subsequent checkin. The document's version status becomes a reservation, where a placeholder is created for the edited document that you will check in later.

The version will not maintain a history of these content saves. The version preserves only the content as it is at checkin time.

NOTE   The document must already be in an object store and checked out before you can use this feature.

To do intermediate saves of a checked out document in an Office application

  1. Check out and edit the document in an application.
  2. From the FileNet P8 menu, click Save. The content is saved and you can continue to work in the document.
