Removing InfoSphere Enterprise Records from JBoss Application Server

From the JBoss Application Server, you can remove IBM® InfoSphere™ Enterprise Records by running the uninstallation program from the _rmuninst directory.

To remove the InfoSphere Enterprise Records software:

  1. Log on to the application server as a user with permissions as documented in Installation directory access requirements.
  2. Stop Component Manager if it is running.
  3. Shut down the JBoss Application Server.
  4. Navigate to the _rmuninst directory where you installed InfoSphere Enterprise Records:
    Option Description
    UNIX® /opt/FileNet
    Windows® C:\Program Files\FileNet
  5. Run the uninstallation program:
    Option Description
    UNIX filenet_rm_uninstall.bin
    Windows filenet_rm_uninstall.exe

    For Windows, you can also use Add or Remove Programs from the Control Panel to remove the InfoSphere Enterprise Records software.

  6. In the Summary window, verify the InfoSphere Enterprise Records components to be removed and click Next. The uninstallation program removes all InfoSphere Enterprise Records components from the server.
  7. When the uninstallation program finishes, click Finish.
  8. Remove InfoSphere Enterprise Records temporary files and directories:
    1. Delete the RecordsManager.war directory from JBOSS_HOME/server/default/deploy.
    2. Remove the temporary working directory RecordsManager from JBOSS_HOME/server/default/work/MainEngine/localhost/.
  9. Delete the RecordsManager, RecordsManagerSweep, and FilePlanImportExportTool directories from the RM_install_path/FileNet/RM folder directory.
