Set Content Consistency Checker options
You can set various options for validating storage areas.
To set Content Consistency Checker options
- In Content Consistency Checker, click File > Options. Modify the options as follows:
- Maximum Errors Logged: Enter a value of 100–10000 for each error type. The default value for the maximum number of
validation errors to log for each error type is 1000. The default value for total errors is 10000.
The validation process stops when reaching a maximum error limit. Setting the limit too low can prevent the system from completing the validation for a storage area in one attempt. Alternatively, if you expect many errors, you can set a low limit so that you can start investigating a more limited error report before validating again.
- Performance: Modify the values as instructed by your service representative. The number of threads defaults to 4. The batch size defaults to 100.
- Base URL for FileNet P8 Platform Help: You can link to the online information center on www.ibm.com or to a local information center that you install and deploy. Internet access is required for online information center. See Installing IBM FileNet P8 Platform documentation for more information.
Choose one of the following options:
- To link to the online information center (V 5.0), use the following base URL:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/p8docs/v5r0m0/topic/
- To link to a local information center, enter the base URL in the following format:
http://server-name[:port]/application-name/topic/
where:
- server-name is the name of the server where
the FileNet P8 Platform documentation information center is installed.
- port is the optional port number.
- application-name is the name of the deployed FileNet P8 documentation application. If you have installed a local information center, the application name is typically p8docs.
- Validation Ranges: Select a validation option and then select the appropriate date and time range. Validation ranges set date and time limits on the content elements that Content Consistency Checker checks. You can base these limits on the date created or the date modified. The default is to validate all content elements with no date limits.
If you select the Enable Resume check box before you start the validation, you can interrupt the process and resume it later where processing left off. If the check box is not selected before you start the validation and you interrupt the process, processing starts from the beginning the next time you start a validation.
- Click OK to save your changes.
