View and select work items
You can access work items from the Tasks primary view. Work items
are stored in either your personal inbox, called My Inbox ,
or in group queues, called Public Inboxes.
The work items in My Inbox are assigned to you for processing.
No one else can view or work on items in your personal inbox.
The work items in Public Inboxes are assigned to a group of
users. Anyone in the group can view and work on the
items or assign them to a specific person for work.
To view work items in a queue
- From the left navigation pane, select Tasks, and then select a view.
- If you selected Public Inboxes, click a name from the Inboxes list to view its contents.
- To view the properties for a work item in the queue, click the Get Info icon.
To select a work item
- Navigate to the appropriate view in Tasks or from an integrated Microsoft® Office application, locate the FileNet P8 menu and click My Inbox Tasks. Do either of the following tasks:
- To view the general information on a work item, click Get Info.
The information page opens. From here, you can view properties and attachments for this work item.
- To open the work item and process it in the Task Step page,
click the name of the work item.
NOTE You can only view queues and work items that you have access privileges
for. The person who creates the workflow determines who has permission
to view or work on a work item.
