General settings for Mail

The general settings for Mail allow Workplace users to use the Send Mail action to send a link to a document, folder, or custom object. Users can also send a copy of a document as an email attachment.

You can limit access to the Send Mail action through access roles. See Actions preferences for instructions.

Mail SMTP host

Enter the mail server name; for example, mailserver1.company.com.

Mail User

Enter a valid mail user name for accessing the server.

Mail Password

Click Mail Password to access the Set Password page.

Multiple Files Use Compression

When a user selects multiple documents to send as an attachment to an email, a compressed file is created that contains all of the documents if this preference is enabled. The compressed file is named after the first item in the list.
