Install non-English locales on UNIX® machines only if you need them.
To install additional locales:
- Access the Autonomy K2 Master Administration Server machine
and log on as k2_os_user.
- Copy the Locales installation package 5.0.0-P8CSE-Locales.zip,
for your platform from the installation package to the machine and
extract its contents to a local directory.
- Run the following command (with no line break) to stop
the Autonomy K2 services.

- Add the following lines to the .profile file
of k2_os_user:
VERITY_CFG=verity_install_path/k2/common/verity.cfg
export VERITY_CFG
- Navigate to the directory where you extracted
the Locales installation package and run one of the following installation
programs:

Important: If the installer prompts you to choose
whether to replace existing files that are newer than the files to
be installed, click No to All
- When prompted, select the Install
all platform binaries option if you want licensed language
locales for the UNIX operating system where you are installing Locales,
but also for Windows and the other supported UNIX operating systems.
- When prompted, specify the following license key: 2UV4MPT-2KPEQBJ-1D6A6KT-2KPE6KT-2KPE6KS.
- When the installation program finishes, run the following
command:
chmod -R 777 verity_install_path/k2/common/basdata
- Run the following command to check the parameter that controls
the maximum file size:
ulimit -f
- If the maximum file size is not unlimited, complete the
following substeps:
- Set the value of the default:fsize line
in the file /etc/security/limits/file as follows
and save your edit.
default:fsize=-1
- Log off the machine and log back on as k2_os_user.
- Start the Verity K2 services, as follows:

- Run the following command to ensure that the locale license
information is synchronized with the Master Administration Server:
rcadmin -update
