About deleting folders
Deleting a folder can also
delete all documents and subfolders it contains. When you delete a folder, Enterprise Manager prompts you to choose
one of the following options:
- Delete folders and containment relationships only
This permanently deletes the folder and all contained subfolders, and unfiles the documents it contains. This does not delete either the actual
document objects, or their content elements. The unfiled document objects will appear in the Unfiled Documents node
of Enterprise Manager if they were contained in only the deleted folder.
- Delete content of contained versions
This permanently deletes all contained subfolders and all contained
document objects and their content elements.
- Delete content of all versions of all contained documents
This permanently deletes all contained subfolders and all versions of the document objects and their content elements.
If the object is checked out, the reservation is cancelled. See Version status for more information.
You cannot delete Enterprise Manager's root folder.
See Delete a folder for more information.
