View workflow maps

A workflow definition contains a main workflow map and possibly one or more submaps with steps and routes.

To display a map, select the name of the map from the map toolbar. The illustration below shows the Workflow map and the Reject submap. The ReviewReject step is a submap step that calls the Reject submap.

Components on the workflow map

Each step on a map represents a specific activity or task in the workflow. The following types of steps represent different types of activities:

Each route on the map defines the path from one step to the next. There can be one or more routes from a step. A route can be defined with an expression that must be satisfied for that route to be taken, or it can be defined as "true". Select the route in the workflow map to view the condition, if any.

For additional information about the symbols used on the map, see Symbols used in Process Tracker.

To view the properties of the workflow, select the Workflow tab in the Properties pane.

TIP While a workflow is running, the information changes as participants open and complete their work. To see the most current information available, click Refresh on the toolbar.
