Rename a security template

You can rename the versioning security templates that by default are named Reservation, In Progress, Released, and Superseded.

To rename a security template

  1. Use Enterprise Manager to run a query for the custom object named Version Status Lookup.
  2. When it appears in Search Results, right-click it and select Properties from the context menu that appears. The custom object's property sheet will appear.
  3. Click the Properties tab. In the Property Name list find the LookupList property.
  4. Right-click [List of Strings] in the Property Value column for the LookupList property. You should see a popup that says "Edit List Property". (If you click the down arrow in this cell in order to view the existing values, you may not be able to access the "Edit List Property" command. If this happens, close the property sheet and start this procedure again.)
  5. Follow the instructions in the Edit List property topic to change the default security template names, which appear as "List Values" in the Add/Remove List Items dialog box.
  6. Click Apply or OK when you are back in the Properties tab. You can examine your edits by clicking the down arrow in the Property Value cell of the LookupList property.

NOTE  Renaming a security template does not change any associations it may already have with classes and objects.
