Limit search results size

Queries can be initiated from many client applications, including Workplace, Enterprise Manager, and custom applications. To ensure that these queries return manageable results and do not cause the server to run out of memory, perform the following procedure in Enterprise Manager.

  1. Right-click the p8domain or root-level node and select Properties from the context menu.
  2. Select the Properties tab.
  3. Click on the pull-down button next to the Subsystem Configurations property value field and select 6 – [Object (Server Cache Configuration)] on the pull-down menu.
  4. Select the Properties tab and scroll through the property selections until you find:
    Query Page Max Size
The maximum number of rows returned for a single server request for a paged query.
    Query Page Default Size
The default number of rows returned for a single server request for a paged query, if no value is explicitly specified.
    Non Paged Query Max Size
The maximum number of rows returned from a non-paged query.
  5. Enter the desired property values.
