ExpressAddin Interface

The IExpressAddin interface is the means by which the client application calls methods on the ExpressAddin component. Using this interface, the client application can specify static, application-specific XML preference settings for the Add-In, instruct the Add-In application to execute specific Application Integration commands, or close the Application Integration session.

Methods

The IExpressAddin interface defines the following methods:

Method Description
Startup Initializes the ExpressAddin component with the client application XML preference settings. All static, application-specific settings that will not change during application execution, such as the application name, should be specified in XML and transferred to the component through the use of this method. The ExpressAddin session is created during the call to Startup.
RunCommand Instructs the ExpressAddin component to execute a specified FileNet Application Integration command.
Shutdown Closes the ExpressAddin Application Integration session.
