Edit labels in half maps

Before you can convert export files for deployment, you must resolve any unmapped entries in the object store and principal data maps for the source-destination pair. One way to resolve such entries is to add matching labels in the half maps for the source and destination environments.

Best practice: If a user or group has administrative privileges in the source environment, ensure that the corresponding user or group in the destination environment also has administrative privileges. If the security principal does not have appropriate privileges, users can encounter problems accessing objects.

To add a label for an object store or security principal:

  1. In FileNet Deployment Manager, expand the environment definition, right-click Object Store Data or Security Principal Data, and then click Open.
  2. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the label field associated with the object store or security principal. You can also right-click to select the field.
  3. Press Enter or double-click in the field to enter edit mode, and then type the label.
  4. Type the label.
  5. Press Ctrl+S to save the change.

NOTE For the label to appear in the data map, you must update the data map in the source-destination pair.
