Content Consistency Checker Tool

The main Content Consistency Checker Tool window provides areas that allow you to specify the domain and storage area to be checked, as well as commands that allow you to perform the main Content Consistency Checker functions.

Domain

The domain section of the main Content Consistency Checker Tool dialog first allows you to select the domain, then log in and test the conection. Once you have successfully tested the connection, the Content Consistency Checker Tool diaglog displays the domain to which you are connected and allows you to change that domain.

Selected domain label
Once you have selected the domain, the name and URL of the domain displays. In case of connection problem, the words "(not connected)" are appended.
Select Domain

Switch Domain
Click the Switch Domain button to display the Select Domain dialog and change the domain.

Storage area table

To run the Content Consistency Checker, you must first select a storage area or areas to check. On the main Content Consistency Tool window, select one or more storage areas listed for the selected object store. To select or de-select individual storage areas, click the name of the storage area once. The selected storage area is highlighted.

The storage area table lists five values for each storage area displayed.

Name
The display name of each storage area, preceded by an icon identifying it as a fixed storage area, a file storage area, or a database storage area.
Object Store
The display name of the object store to which this storage area is assigned.
Content Elements
The number of content elements in the storage area at the time the Content Consistency Checker was launched.
Date Last Checked
The date and time that Content Consistency Checker validation was last run on the storage area.
Result
The result of the last Content Consistency Checker validation run on the storage area. Results include Completed, Interrupted, and Unknown. A result of "Interrupted" indicates that the validation was stopped before completion. If you select a storage area that was previously interrupted, you are asked whether you would like to validate this storage area again or not. If you choose to validate the storage area again, the previous information is cleared and the entire storage area is validated again.

NOTE  The data displayed in the Date Last Checked and Result columns is retrieved from the runtime workspace area of the computer where the Consistency Checker validation was last run. If the Consistency Checker was last run on another workstation, the current workstation will not have information on that run, and will mark the two values as Unknown.
