Export isolated region configuration data
Use the Export Wizard in Process Configuration Console to extract the configuration data for an isolated region from the workflow database. The Export Wizard creates an XML file containing the region-wide properties, such as specified web applications, step processor settings, event logging options, and all queue, roster, and log definitions including exposed fields and index settings.
NOTE The exported file contains only configuration settings. To export workflow definitions, use Enterprise Manager. For more information, see Export workflow definitions from object stores. To export data fields, see Export Process Analyzer data fields.
To export isolated region configuration data:
- In Process Configuration Console, select the isolated region to export. The region must be initialized.
- From the Action menu, select Export to XML to start Export Wizard.
- In the Export File field, enter the fully qualified name of the XML file in which exported data is to be placed.
- To export system property information, select the Include System Properties check box.
- To export user and group information, select the Include User Information check box.
Do not select this check box if the source and destination environments use different LDAP directory servers.
NOTE If Process Engine contains a large number of users, exporting the user information takes significant time.
- To export all components for the isolated region, select Export all components and then click Finish.
To export only select components:
- Select Export selected components and then click Next.
- On the Export Wizard Selection page, select the components to export. For each component, you can select all or open the folder to select individual items.
- Click Next and then click Finish.
