Administrative tools

Access to the Workplace Administrative Tools is controlled by the Site Preferences settings for Primary Views and the access roles assigned to the view.

Site preferences are site-wide settings that control many things, such as access, appearance, and file storage options. The preferences are stored in a file on the Content Engine server, and apply to all Workplace users in the environment.

Process Administrator lets administrators view and manage work in progress. With Process Administrator, you can:

  • Manage workflows
  • Edit workflow data and properties
  • Search for and view workflows

Process Administrator requires the Java™ Runtime Environment (JRE) plug-in to be installed and configured. See Use Java™ Applets for complete information.

Process Configuration Console configures Process Engine. With Process Configuration Console, you can:

  • Create and modify Process Engine database structures (for example, isolated regions, queues, rosters, and event logs)
  • Configure Process Engine event logging and statistics collection
