Name and Describe the Second Property
In our insurance example, the first property is Associated Claim.
- Name
- The name can contain up to 64 characters (upper or lower case letters, numbers,
symbols, and spaces). Association property names must be unique within an
object store.
- Symbolic Name
- The symbolic name can be used as a programmatic identifier. The symbolic name is created by the Create Association Property Wizard, using the value of the Name and removing any spaces and ensuring that the first character is alpha (the rest of the name can be alphanumeric). You can change the Symbolic Name, but you will also have to change any code that is using this value. The Symbolic Name must be unique to the FileNet P8 domain.
- Description
- Use the description to explain requirements of the second association property
or any other information you find useful. The description is optional and
can contain up to 255 characters. The name and description can be included
in reports or viewed with administrative tools.
- Existing Names
- The non-selectable Existing Names list box contains the names of existing
properties within this object store. You cannot use these names.
