Schema Reference

This section briefly describes, and provides links to, the XML schemas used by the FileNet® P8 Platform.

AE Preferences This schema supports a standard, extensible method to implement preferences data for web applications, and defines the settings of the individual preferences.

Entry Template This schema specifies the format of Entry Template instructions. The instructions specify such things as the folder under which you can file the entry template, the object class, associated property values, and security settings you can assign to the Entry Template and, optionally, a workflow to associate with the Entry Template.

Execute Search This schema supports input to an ad-hoc search. The input identifies the object store(s) to search, the number of records to return, how to deal with records returned from a multiple-object store search, etc.

File Plan This schema specifies the format of the XML file used by the Records Manager File Plan Import and Export Tool.

Filter Data This schema is for filtering the results of a data request. The schema supports limiting the number of results returned to a user based on a specified set of filter criteria.

Form Policy This schema supports the Document Form Policy and the Workflow Form Policy. It maps HTML form fields to the class properties of a Document object, associates workflow steps to Form Templates, maps template HTML form fields to step element parameters, and specifies field mapping characteristic information.

Java™ API This schema supports the basic user functionality of the FileNet P8 Platform, which includes object store folder navigation, search navigation, search results, and the authoring of documents (including document properties and document security information). This schema does not support search authoring or publish template authoring.

Step Element This schema specifies the format of the XML string that the Component Integrator Java™ Message Service (JMS) adapter posts to an external JMS queue. This XML string represents the stepElement for a workflow step that activates the adapter.

Stored Search This schema supports input to a stored search. The input specifies the object store(s) to search, the number of records to return, template information, etc. The schema also includes Verity elements for content-based searches.
