Tree view
Enterprise Manager's "tree" view is divided into the following
major folders, or nodes:
- The AddOns node lists all Content Engine feature AddOns that have been installed. Feature AddOns consist of custom implementations of classes, objects, and
properties that support specific product functionality, such as publishing,
searching, or email.
- The Fixed Content Devices node lists all the fixed content devices that have been configured for use by object stores in the FileNet P8 domain for storage of document content. A fixed content device is a third-party fixed content storage system providing additional storage capacity and
security for content storage.
- The Marking Sets node lists all marking sets that have been defined for use in the FileNet P8 domain. Markings allow object access to be controlled based on specific property
values.
- The Object Stores node lists all object stores existing within
a FileNet P8 domain and provides quick access to administrative activities
related to each object store. Most object store administration is done here.
- The PE Connection Points node lists Process Engine connection points for this domain.
A connection point identifies a specific isolated region of the workflow database, and gives it a name that workflow-related applications use to access the region.
- The PE Region ID node lists Process Engine isolated regions for this domain.
- The Sites node lists all sites in the FileNet P8 domain. One site, also known as the default site, is created when Content Engine is installed. Additional sites are added to the domain to organize resources around common geographical areas.
Select each node in the tree to view the results pane for that node, or open each node to display sub-nodes that provide access to additional node. For example, expand the Sites node to view a list of all sites in the domain, then expand each individual site node to view the resources associated with that site, such as virtual servers, content cache areas, and index areas. Right-click over any object in the tree to view help for that object or display its property pages.
