Document properties (General tab)

Use the General tab to view, modify, or access the following properties and actions.

The document's title and class appear at the top of the tab. The following fields all display information associated with the version identified by the Major and Minor Version Numbers. By going to the Properties tab, you can open a property sheet for a different document version.

Document Title
Modify the document's title. Enterprise Manager initially uses the filename of the document as the default value. You can change this value to something more descriptive. Other clients may assign this value differently. Note that this property value may not contain the "\", "/", and "*" characters.

Note Renaming a document in this way is the same as Rename a document.

Class
The document class of the version.
Checked out by: user, date and time
Document's check out information. (Appears only if document is checked out.)
Size (KB)
The file size of the content elements associated with the version.
Classification Status
The document's automatic classification status. The possible values are:
Major Version
The version's major version number.
Minor Version
The version's minor version number.
Version Status
The version's version status. The possible values are Released, In Process, Reservation, and Superseded.
Inherit security from folder
Whether the document should inherit security from a folder in addition to its other sources of security. Choose the folder using the drop down box of available folders, which are the folders the document is currently filed in. The chosen folder becomes the document's security parent.

Version check boxes

Current Version

Freeze Custom Properties
Whether the selected version is frozen. When a document version is frozen, its custom properties cannot be modified.
Reserved
Whether the selected version is reserved.

Compound Document
Whether the document is a compound document.
