Reindexing causes Content Engine (CE) to update the CBR indexes for the selected index area. You should reindex when you:
NOTE If you modify any of the style files used to create an index, you must remove the index and then recreate the index. Reindexing will not incorporate the style file modifications in an existing index.

Class indexing refers to when the CBR Enabled status flag of a class definition (or one of its property definitions) is changed during the current Enterprise Manager session. When you change the CBR Enabled flag, you are also given the option of propagating the changes to all subclasses of the class as well. Once the change to the CBR Enabled flag is complete, an index job is created and is ready to commit in the Index Jobs Manager. You must manually commit the job.

You can select one or more index collections to reindex from the index collections properties tab.

Single item indexing refers to index jobs created on folder, document, custom object, and annotation objects.
