You can modify a lifecycle action at any time. The revised action becomes effective immediately. You do not have to refresh the object store or modify the lifecycle policy to make a revised action apply the next time an associated document changes states.
For example, assume you create a lifecycle action and assign it to a policy. If you test the lifecycle policy on a document (by changing its states) and discover errors in the script, you can simply edit the lifecycle action. The next time you change the state on the document, the updated action takes effect.
