Specify map options
Specify the security map file to use during the mapping operation and indicate
whether the wizard should modify any existing map file contents when updating
the security principals.
- Security Map File
- Specify the security map file to use during the mapping operation. A properly
formatted map file defines how user and group accounts in one domain should
be mapped to accounts in another domain.
After you select the XML import file on the previous page of the wizard, the
wizard will automatically copy the name and path of the input file into the
Security Map File field, and will also append the file name with the
phrase "Map". For example: Selecting the import file C:\FileNet\ContentEngineObjectsExport.xml
will cause the wizard to create the map file name C:\FileNet\ContentEngineObjectsExportMap.xml.
You may select to keep the map file name that was automatically created by
the wizard, or you may choose a different existing map file or enter a name
for a new file. Click Browse to navigate to
an existing security map file, or enter a path and file name to use as the
map file.
- Options
- The Options field provides settings that enable you to configure how the
wizard will create or modify the map file contents during the mapping operation:
- Create a new map file, overwrite existing file.
- Create a new file and save the map information to the file. If the file
specified in the Security Map File field already exists, overwrite
the existing content in the file with the new map information.
- Using existing map file. Append new maps.
- Use an existing map file and modify the existing content as appropriate
according to the selections made during the mapping operation. In addition,
append any new maps created during the mapping operation to the file.
- Map file already exists, use existing.
- Use an existing map file, but do not modify the existing contents in
any way. If the user modifies the account mapping or adds new maps during
the operation, these changes will be applied to the destination domain,
but the map file will not be updated.
