Assign a security policy or change the current assignment
This procedure describes how to assign a security policy to a class or
to a specific document. You can also change the current assignment using
this procedure. To use this procedure, your object store must
already have at least one security policy.
To assign a security policy to a class
- Select Enterprise Manager's Document
class node or, for Custom Object class or Folder class, the Other
classes node.
- Right-click the class whose default security policy you want to assign
and select Properties from the context menu.
- Select the Security
Policy tab.
- In the Default Security Policy drop-down list,
select the security policy you want to assign to this class. The templates
currently assigned to the security policy will appear under Security Templates.
If the templates that appear are not what you need or what you expect, you
may need to stop by clicking Cancel, edit the
security policy, and then perform this procedure.
- Click OK.
To assign a security policy to a document
- Navigate to the document starting in Enterprise Manager's Root
Folder.
- Right-click the document (or custom object or folder) whose existing security
policy you want to change and select Properties
from the context menu that appears.
- Select the Security
Policy tab.
- In the Assigned Security Policy drop-down
list, select the security policy you want to assign to this class. The templates
currently assigned to the security policy will appear under Security Templates.
If the templates that appear are not what you need or what you expect, you
may need to stop by clicking Cancel, edit
the security policy, and then perform this procedure.
- Click OK.
