Name and describe the index area
Name and describe the new index area.
- Name
- Enter a name that is unique within the specified
object store. The name is required and must start with a letter. The index area name can contain up to 64 characters (upper or lowercase letters,
numbers, spaces, and symbols). When selecting a name for the index area,
ensure that the name does not contain the following characters:
asterisk (*), backslash (\),
forward slash (/), comma (,),
colon (:), semicolon (;),
single quote ('), double quote
("), pound sign (#),
question mark (?), less than (<),
greater than (>), or pipe symbol
(|).
- Description
- You can use this field to explain what
this index area will contain. You can also identify its purpose or provide
any other useful information. You can change the default description that
mirrors the name.
The description can contain up to 255 characters
and is optional.
- Existing Names
- This window identifies the names of existing index areas within the specified object store. It can remind you of naming
conventions or help you choose a unique name. This list box is not selectable.
