Name and Describe the Lifecycle Policy
Use this dialog box to name and describe the lifecycle policy you are
creating. The name appears in a selection list when you're adding a document
lifecycle policy to a document class or a specific document.
- Name
- Enter a name that is unique within the specified object store. The
name is required and must start with a letter. The lifecycle policy
name can contain up to 64 characters (upper or lowercase letters, numbers,
spaces, and symbols).
- Description
- Use the description to explain requirements of the document lifecycle
policy or any other information you find useful. The name and description
can be included in reports or viewed with administrative tools.
The description can contain up to 255 characters and is optional.
- Existing Names
- This window identifies the names of existing lifecycle policies within
the specified object store. It can remind you of naming conventions
or help you choose a unique name. This list box is not selectable.
