Open unassigned work

Some steps in a workflow are assigned to work queues instead of a specific participant. If you have access to a work queue, that queue displays in Personal Work Manager as a folder under Work Queues.

You can search for specific work and change how the work item information displays in the queue. See Search for work.

To open work from a work queue

  1. In Personal Work Manager, open the Work Queues folder and a folder that represents a work queue.
  2. In the list of work on the right, double-click on a work item to open it.

When you open work from a work queue, that work item is locked (reserved) for you; other participants with access to that work queue cannot open it.

The step processor displays instructions, data, attachments, response choices, and other resources that you need to complete the work.

NOTE You will be unable to make changes to the work item if you have only read access to the work queue.
