Create a Process Engine Connection Point Wizard

A connection point provides a name for a previously defined isolated region, which consists of a Process Engine server, the port used to access the server, and an isolated region number in the workflow database. All workflow-related applications use the connection point name to access the region.

To start the Create a Process Engine Connection Point wizard

  1. Right-click PE Connection Points in the domain.
  2. Choose New PE Connection Point.

Name and description

Name
Enter a name for the new connection point. The name must not duplicate any existing connection point in the referenced isolated region.

The name you enter identifies an isolated region—a Process Engine server, the port used to access the server, and an isolated region number. In site preferences, you select a connection point to specify which Process Engine server and isolated region the application will use for Process functionality.

Description
Enter a description of the new connection point.
