Configure Process Engine e-mail notification

Use the Notification tab to configure Process Engine e-mail notification. In addition to configuring e-mail notification, you must add at least one language pack.

The Notification tab includes these fields:

Name Description

SMTP Host

The complete host name for an SMTP server on the network running the SMTP Service on the port specified by the SMTP Port parameter below. The SMTP server can be a Process Engine server or another server on your network.

A sample entry might be:

smtp_host_name

SMTP Port

The port on which the SMTP Service is running. The default value is 25.

Character Set

The character set to use in encoding the e-mail message. The default is ISO-8859-1. If you change this value, you must turn on Encode From Field below.

Email Logon ID

The name used for the account you want Process Engine to use to log in to the mail server application. You must use ASCII characters only.

Example: workflow@host.com

Email Logon Password The password associated with the Email Logon ID entered above.

Email From ID

The name you want to appear in the From field on the e-mail notifications. You can use extended ASCII characters.

Encode From Field

Indicates whether to encode the contents of Email From ID. Set to On if Email From ID contains extended ASCII characters. Off is the default.

Set to Off if you are using Lotus Notes®.
