Start Enterprise Manager
Before you can start Enterprise Manager, you must first be authenticated. See
About Enterprise Manager's
security for information about authentication.
Once Enterprise Manager is started, the FileNet P8 Enterprise Manager Logon screen is displayed. To log on to a specific domain, select one of the pre-configured domains and click Connect. If the domain selected is missing a user name or password for authentication, a simple dialog is displayed to type the information to complete the process.
To start Enterprise Manager from a desktop shortcut
- Double-click the FileNet Enterprise Manager Administration Tool icon, located on your desktop.
To start Enterprise Manager from the Start menu
- Click Start > Programs
> FileNet P8 Platform > FileNet Enterprise Manager Administration Tool.
To start Enterprise Manager from the Run command line
- Click Start > Run.
- Click Browse and navigate to the directory
where you installed Content Engine. By default, the installation program installs Content Engine in the following
directory:
C:\Program Files\FileNet\ContentEngine
- Choose All File types, then select FileNet
Enterprise Manager.msc.
- Click Open,
then click OK.
To start the MMC console and add Enterprise Manager
from the Run command line
- Click Start > Run.
- Type mmc in the Open
field and click OK.
- Open the Console menu or the File menu and select Add/Remove
Snap-in.
- Click Add.
- Select FileNet Enterprise Manager Administration
Tool and click Add.
- Add any other administrative tools to your console, then click Close.
- Click OK.
