Specify files
Select an XML import file that contains security principals for one domain
and enter the name of the XML output file. The principals in the import file
is updated to the valid principals in the security file or the current
realm and then saved to the output file.
- Input File
- Specify the import
file which contains the security principals to be updated. These are the
user and group accounts for which security principals exist in the source
domain. See About the Security Map Wizard for information about the import file, which is a .txt file containing a list of the generated XML files.
Click Browse and navigate to an XML import
file which contains existing security principals that you would like to update.
- Output File
- After you select the import file, the wizard will automatically copy the
name and path of the import file into the Output File field, and will
also append the file name with the phrase "Copy". For example: Selecting
the import file C:\FileNet\ContentEngineObjectsExport.xml will cause the wizard
to create the output file C:\FileNet\ContentEngineObjectsExportCopy.xml.
You can keep the output file name that was automatically created
by the wizard, or you can choose a different existing file or enter a new
file name. Click Browse to navigate to an existing
XML file, or enter a path and new file name to use as the output file.
CAUTION Selecting to save the results of the
mapping operation to your existing import file can result in unexpected application
behavior or even failure. Therefore, specify
a different name for the output file, rather than using the same name as the
import file.
