By default, when you restart a UNIX-based Process Engine the Process Service software starts automatically. You can disable automatic startup by editing the startup file, /etc/inittab.
NOTE Since Process Service is dependent on its database software, the database software must be running when the Process Service software starts, regardless of whether the Process Service software starts automatically or manually.
To disable automatic startup of the Process Service on the Process Engine server
