FileNet P8 domain properties (Content Configuration tab)

The Content Configuration tab provides configuration information related to the selected object's content storage parameters.

Configuration Source
Indicates the scope level (domain object) for which these configuration parameters apply. This field can also indicate whether or not the current import agent information is inherited from another object or are local settings for this object.
Dispatcher Wait Interval
The number of seconds the dispatcher waits before looking for work. The default value is 5 seconds. Valid settings range from 5 to 600 seconds.
Temporary Directory
Root directory path for temporary file storage. This field is optional.
Maximum Content Queue Worker Threads
Maximum number of threads that will service the content queue. The default value is 25. Valid settings range from 1 to 2048.
Database Content Upload Buffer Size
Size of the database content upload buffer. The default value is 64. Valid settings range from 1 to 1024.
Inline Content Retrieval Limit
Maximum content length to return inline. The default value is 1024. Valid settings range from 1 to 10240.
Abandoned Content Cleanup Interval
Determines how often the inbound directory is scanned for abandoned files. The inbound directory is the temporary location of content files when they are being uploaded to the server. Abandoned files are deleted. Files are considered abandoned when their date of last modification indicates an age greater than the Temp File Lifetime AND they are no longer referenced by the Content Queue. The default value is 1800 seconds (.5 hours).
Temporary File Lifetime
The maximum age of a file present in the inbound directory before it becomes a candidate for deletion the next time the inbound cleanup background task is executed. The default value is 600 seconds (10 minutes).
Abandoned DB Content Cleanup Interval
The execution frequency for a background task to clean up abandoned temporary rows in the Content table. A temporary row is considered abandoned if it’s create date is >= the current date – Temp DB Content Lifetime. A temporary row is identified by prefixing a “T” on the element_id. The default value is 36000 (10 hours).
Temporary Database Content Lifetime
The maximum age of a temporary row in the content table. The default value is 600 seconds (10 minutes).
Override inherited settings
If selected, enables the inherited settings for the content configuration to be changed.
Copy Values
Select to copy the content configuration settings from object that has already been configured. If the selected object inherits its settings from another object, that parent object's settings will be used.
