Event subscription properties (Workflow tab)

For help opening a subscription property sheet, see View and modify subscription properties.

Workflow Event Action
Displays the name of the workflow event action. To change the event action, click the down arrow and select the name of the workflow event action from the list.
Workflow Definition
Displays the name of the workflow definition that you want to launch each time a trigger event occurs on an object associated with this workflow subscription. To select a different workflow definition, click the down arrow and select the name of the workflow definition from the list.
TIP Only workflow definitions that exist in the workflow database on Process Engine are listed. To ensure the list includes the most current workflow definition and versions, refresh the object store.
Version
Displays the version of the workflow definition assigned to this subscription. To change the version, click the down arrow and select the workflow definition version number.

When a workflow definition is transferred to the workflow database, Process Engine assigns the workflow definition a concatenated version number. However, the Version numbers listed in this field show numerical values in a decimal format that represents the number of times the particular workflow definition has been transferred to the workflow database.
NOTE   This version number is different from the one assigned to the workflow definition each time it is checked into a Content Engine object store.
Isolated Region
Displays the number of the isolated region to which the workflow definitions that will launch were automatically transferred.
Property Map
This group box enables you to map properties in a Content Engine object with workflow data fields. The workflow data fields you specify in the property map must be designated as launch step parameters in the workflow definition. To the right of the text window, two command buttons enable you to add or remove mapped property values.

Add: Allows you to define a new map between an object's property and a workflow's data field.

Remove: Deletes a selected map between an object's property and a workflow's data field. For example, you might want to map a document's Creator property with Employee Name, if the data field exists in the workflow definition.

To add a property map

  1. Click Add to open the Property Map dialog box.
  2. In the Workflow Property field, type the name of the data field, exactly as defined in the workflow definition.
  3. In the Document Property field, type the name of the property, exactly as it exists in the object's properties.

TIP To see a list of properties, right-click the object in the details pane, then select Properties. On the Properties tab, select All Properties and scroll down the list to identify the desired property in the Property Name column.

  4. Click Add.

To remove a property map

  1. Select the property map in the Property Map text box.
  2. Click Remove to open the Property Map dialog box.
