Localize object store

All system classes and properties are localized when you install a localized IBM FileNet Content Engine language pack. You can add multiple language packs, containing all released languages, or a language pack containing only a single language. Language packs contain translated Content Engine DLLs and XML files containing translated display names of document classes and properties of AddOns. You can then import these XML files into an object store.

NOTE   For complete information on setting up IBM FileNet P8 components in non-English environments, refer to the IBM FileNet P8 Platform Installing in a Non-English Environment Technical Notice. To download IBM FileNet documentation from the IBM support page, see Accessing IBM FileNet documentation.

After installing a language pack, the new objects you create can also be localized using Enterprise Manager. The following procedures describe how to localize these objects:

To create localized versions of an object store's objects

  1. Log on as object store administrator. See Users and Groups for more information.
  2. Right-click the object store you want to localize.
  3. Select All Tasks and then select one of the commands titled Localize. A dialog box for localizing the selected object will open.
  4. Select a language and then enter localized strings for each object's Name. See the links above for help.
