WebSphere Business Monitor Dashboard provides a graphical display of data produced by running process. The BPM Monitor Model for WebSphere Business Monitor included with BPM software enables monitoring of work in progress—active BPM processes and work items. See Customize the BPM Monitor Model for WebSphere for information about customizing the monitor model with your user-defined fields.
The BPM software also includes a sample dashboard. After importing it, you can customize it for your data. See Import the sample BPM Monitoring dashboard for WebShere for instructions.
Our sample dashboard includes five portlets:
NOTE The BPM Monitor Model monitors only work-in-progress. To guarantee that, all the views (dimensional, KPI, …) must use “TerminationTime” as a dimension and only show data based on “TerminationTime= 9999”. The 9999 specifies that the work is open, and in progress.
The Process Count displays the number of active processes. View this value by region, process definition, and process version. For example, a bank could monitor the Process Count to monitor the number of loans in process.
The Average Process Processing Time shows the average processing time of all active processes, in days. View this value by region, process definition, and process version.
The Work Item Count could be customized to show the number of active work items. View this value by region, process, step, queue, and user.
The Average Work Item Processing Time shows the average processing time of active work items. View this value by region, process, step, queue, and user.
The Average Work Item Idle Time could be customized to show the average idle time in days.
