Add or modify lifecycle state
Use this dialog box to add or modify a lifecycle state to an existing lifecycle
policy.
To add a new or modify an existing lifecycle policy state
- Log on to the object store as the object
store administrator.
- Expand the Document Lifecycles node and select Document Lifecycle Policies.
- Right-click the lifecycle policy you want to edit and select Properties.
(If there are no lifecycle policies, you have to run the Create
a New Lifecycle Policy wizard.)
- Go to the General tab of the lifecycle policy's
property sheet. Click Add to add a new lifecycle
state.
- Select an existing lifecycle state and click Modify
to modify that lifecycle state. Refer to the descriptions of the dialog box
below.
- Lifecycle state name
- Displays the name assigned to the lifecycle policy state. Enter a new name
or edit the existing name.
- Allow Demotion from State
- Select to allow authorized users to demote the lifecycle from the present
state to an earlier state.
- Apply Security Template on Entry
- Select to apply the security permissions defined on the Template Security
tab to the document when the document enters the present state.
