The Guest info site preferences determine if guest users are permitted to log into Workplace, and define the account information for guests. The Guest account is useful for Internet applications that provide unrestricted access to information, such as product descriptions.
When a user logs in as a guest, Workplace does not display the Tasks link, the Admin link, the Advanced Tools link in the Author page, or the User Preferences link. Guests can perform all other operations, subject to the access rights of the guest account.
CAUTION If you change any of these preferences after installing an expansion product or another custom application, you must also copy the updated bootstrap.properties file to the location the custom application uses to access the bootstrap.properties file.
Enter the user account name to use for guests. This must be a valid domain account.
CAUTION Do not use a user name with administrator rights for the guest account. Doing so can prevent that administrator from performing administrative functions.
Click Password to access the Set Password page.
To allow guest logins
If you enable user tokens between two Workplace sites, you need to make sure that the guest account on both sites uses the same user account. If you use different accounts, guest users will have full access to all Workplace features.
