Create an XLIFF file

Use the Create XLIFF option in Process Configuration Console to export localizable authored strings to an XLIFF 1.1 file for translation to a target language. See About XLIFF for additional information.

For complete instructions for deploying the translated file, see Installing in a non-English environment. To download this document from the IBM support page, see Accessing IBM FileNet Documentation.

To create an XLIFF file for a target language

  1. In the scope pane, right-click the icon of the isolated region and click Create XLIFF file.
  2. In the Create XLIFF file dialog box, select the target language, such as French, Spanish, and so on.
  3. Click Browse and select a location to save the file. The default location is the desktop.

NOTE  Do not change the filename. Process Engine API uses this filename at runtime to locate the appropriate language file.

  4. Click OK to create the file.
