Open saved search
You can open a saved search in order to run it, run it with bulk operations,
or just to view or modify it.
To open a saved search from
Search Results node
- Select and right click the object store's Search Results node.
- Select Open Existing Search to examine or modify an existing
search. You will see a Windows "Open" dialog box preset to
look for files of *.sch type.
- Select the file containing the search you want to open. It will open
in Enterprise Manager's Search Template dialog box.

- If you load a search template, the Search
Template dialog box opens. Enter any requested search criteria.
Also select Search and Bulk Operators
if you want the search to carry out any defined bulk operations.
- Click Find Now to run the search.
Any search results will appear in the Search Results node.
- Click Advanced if you want to examine
and modify the full search.
- If you load a simple search, the Query
Builder opens allowing you to run the search or modify it.
To open a saved search from
Saved Searches node
- Select the object store's Saved Searches node. Any files saved
to the local <install directory>\SearchTemplates location
with an *.sch extension will appear in Enterprise Manager.
- Double-click the search you want.
- If you load a search template, the Search
Template dialog box opens. Enter any requested search criteria.
Also select Search and Bulk Operators
if you want the search to carry out any defined bulk operations.
- If you load a simple search, the Query
Builder opens allowing you to run the search or modify it.
