Check workflow name
The name of the workflow must be unique in the isolated region. When you are naming a new workflow
definition, we suggest that you check the name against the names of existing workflow definitions
that have been transferred to the workflow
database. See About transfer
for additional information.
To check the workflow name
- If the Workflow Properties dialog box is not open, click the Action menu, then select Workflow Properties.
- On the General tab, enter a name for the workflow.
The name of a workflow definition must conform to the following rules:
- Begin with an alphabetic character. Can contain letters, digits, underscores,
or spaces.
- Maximum length 249 characters.
- Not use F_ or two tilde (~~) characters as the first two characters.
- Be unique among workflow definitions in an isolated
region.
- Click Check Workflow Name on the right side of the
Workflow Name title bar.
- On the Check Workflow Name dialog box, select whether to use the current name or enter a different
name.
- If the name you entered is available, choose Use this workflow name.
- If the name you entered is already in use, do one of the following:
- Choose Use this workflow name to
overwrite the existing workflow definition when you transfer the new
workflow definition to the workflow database.
- Choose Use another workflow name, then enter or select the
name to use.
