Use the following steps to create authentication aliases to connect to the Process Engine and CBE Adaptor databases.
Database user name properties: | |
SQL Server | The user must have read and write privileges on the Process Engine database tables. You can create this Process Engine database user by running the following stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Manager Query Analyzer. PE_createDbUsers '<PEDatabaseUserName>', '', '<PEDatabaseName>' where: PEDatabaseUserName is the user name you are entering for this property. NOTE You can ignore errors from the first procedure regarding empty object or column names as well as being unable to create a maintenance user. The second and third commands assign standard SQL roles to the newly created user, giving the user read and write privileges on the Process Engine database tables. The new user is created with the default password of "filenet", which you must change. |
Oracle | The user must have the following database privileges:
You can use the following SQL commands to create a user, if necessary, and grant the required privileges. GRANT CREATE SESSION to &PEDatabaseUserName IDENTIFIED by &Password; where: PEDatabaseUserName is the user name you are entering for this property. NOTE The Process Engine database must be initialized before running these commands. |
DB2 | Use the Process Engine runtime user (f_sw or its alias) or a database administrator account. |
