Choose objects to include on export manifest
Each time you add an object or object type to the export manifest, the Include
Options window opens. Use the Options window to customize the list of associated
objects you are adding to the export manifest.
NOTE Some
objects have associated objects (such as metadata or relationship objects) that
are hidden from view in Enterprise Manager. This prevents you from choosing
those objects to add them individually to the export manifest. Therefore, it's
important to include those associated objects when you add the object to the
export manifest. However, if an export manifest or the target object
store already contains those associated objects (through previous exports and
imports), you do not need to add those associated objects again.
For details, see the following topics:
After you click OK, Enterprise Manager performs
the following tasks:
- Adds the selected objects to the appropriate nodes under the Export Manifest
node.
- Updates the user preferences with your selected include options. Any changes
made for an object type makes the current include options the default selections
for the particular object type.
NOTE If
you select Do not show me this dialog box for this object
again, Enterprise Manager uses the currently selected include
options next time you add that kind of object to the export manifest, and does
not display the window. You can re-enable this screen by changing the user
preferences for the export manifest. For details, see Change
user preferences for include options.
Include Options
By default, the system adds all objects dependent on or referenced by the object
you're adding to the export manifest. To eliminate some or all of the associated
objects, select one of the other two options. For details, see the following
topics:
- Include all associated objects
- Select this option to include all associated objects when the system adds
the selected object to the export manifest.
NOTE This
is the default option. Selecting this option makes all options listed below
Customized Includes unavailable. Instead, the export tool includes all preselected
options.
- Do not include any associated
objects
- Select this option to eliminate all associated objects when the system adds
the selected object to the export manifest.
NOTE Selecting
this option clears all options listed below Customized Includes and makes
them unavailable.
- Select associated objects to be included
manually
- Select this option to enable the Customized Includes options, from which
you can select the associated objects you want to include in the manifest.
- Customized Includes
- If you are manually selecting associated objects to include on the export
manifest, select the associated options for the selected object or type of
object. To prevent an associated object from being added to the export manifest,
clear the corresponding check box. The following paragraphs describe these
options:
- Include documents and custom objects
in folders
- Adds to the export manifest all documents and objects filed in selected
folders and subfolders. This option applies only to folders.
- Include all document versions
- Adds to the export manifest the entire document version series. This option
applies only to objects assigned to a document class, such as documents or
workflow definitions.
- Include annotations on folders,
documents, and custom objects
- Adds to the export manifest any annotations associated with selected folders,
documents, and custom objects. This option applies only to folders and objects
assigned to a document class, such as documents or workflow definitions.
- Include event subscriptions attached
to objects
- Adds to the export manifest event subscriptions associated with the objects
on the export manifest. This applies to all object types.
- Include event
actions associated with subscriptions
- Adds to the export manifest event actions associated with the selected objects.
This applies to all object types that have subscriptions associated with them.
- Include lifecycle
policies attached to objects
- Adds to the export manifest all lifecycle policies associated with documents
on the export manifest. This option applies only to objects assigned to a
document class, such as documents or workflow definitions.
- Include lifecycle
actions attached to lifecycle policies
- Adds to the export manifest all lifecycle actions associated with selected
lifecycle policies. This option applies only to objects assigned to a document
class, such as documents or workflow definitions.
- Include non-system object classes
- Adds to the export manifest any user-defined classes. This applies to all
classes created by the user—
not FileNet P8-provided
classes.
- Include modified system classes
- Adds to the export manifest any modified FileNet P8-provided object classes.
By default, this option is not selected because users do not typically modify
FileNet P8-provided classes. However, if you have added custom properties or
changed security permissions on the FileNet P8-provided classes, select this
option.
- Include property templates on
classes
- Adds to the export manifest any properties in a selected class. This applies
to all object types, except for choice lists and other property templates.
- Include choice lists on
property templates
- Adds to the export manifest any choice lists for the property to the export
manifest. This applies to all object types except for other choice lists.
- Include referential
containment relationships between folders, docs, and custom objects
- Adds to the export manifest any referential containment relationship (DRCR)
objects between folders. If the DRCRs are not included and Include
documents in the folders is enabled, the exporter still exports the
documents and custom objects associated with a folder and files them in folders
when imported into a target object store. Selecting this option adds the relationships
between folders and other folders or between folders, documents, and custom
objects to the export manifest.
- Include immediate user-defined
object-valued properties
- Adds to the export manifest any user-defined objects that use each object's
property values. Otherwise, the export manifest includes only object references
(GUIDs). This option does not include FileNet P8-provided objects. Selecting
this option includes property values for immediate objects only—not any
nested objects.
- Include security policies
- Adds to the export manifest any security policies associated with the objects.
Security policies contain security templates that you can use to manage security
applied to documents, folders, and custom objects.
- Include compound document components
- Adds to the export manifest any compound documents (and any links nested within the documents).
