Create a subscription

Subscriptions are associated with objects. You can create the subscription from the object or object class. If you create a subscription for an object class, the subscription automatically applies to all new objects to which you assign the class. However, the Subscription tab on an object's property sheet does not display a subscription assigned to the object's class.

For example, let's say you create a subscription on a document class. After refreshing the object store, you can assign that document class to a new document added to the Content Engine. If you view the properties of that document, the Subscription tab does not list the subscription assigned to its class. However, if the subscription for the document class applies to all instances of the class, its subscription applies to the document as well.

Use the Create a Subscription wizard to create the subscription for the selected object or object class.
