Getting started in Design mode
Use Design mode to create fully operational workflows. See the Mode designation on the toolbar to confirm that you are using Design mode.
In Design mode, you place steps of various types on the map to represent tasks to be completed by users (participants) or by automated processes. For each step, you specify the parameters that will be used at the step, routing options, deadlines, and other properties. To control the flow through the process, you specify routes between steps and the conditions for taking these routes.
In addition to creating workflows, you can also make configuration changes, and run and administer the workflow from Process Designer. See Lesson 2: Get started in Design mode for step-by-step instructions for configuring work queues, and specifying participants, data, and routing conditions to create a functional workflow from the design created in Lesson 1.
