Indexing is the process of taking content of Annotations or Documents or CBR-enabled string properties of documents, annotations, custom objects or folders, and building the appropriate data structures on disk that support query of that data. To accomplish this task, Content Engine sends indexing requests to the Content Search Engine which in turn stores indexing data in Verity Collections for a particular object store. Verity Collections have a structure and behavior similar to a database table. For CBR enabled objects, indexing is done automatically when an object is added to the object store; however, you can also force indexing to occur by executing an index job.
