Hide a folder
You can hide a folder from users of applications (such as Workplace and Application
Integration), or unhide a previously hidden folder, using Enterprise
Manager. When you hide a folder using this procedure,
the documents, custom objects, and folders that are contained in the folder can
still be found by a search.
To hide or unhide a folder
- Right-click the folder within the root folder's tree and select
Properties.
- Select the Properties tab.
- Select the All Properties check box just above
the property grid.
- Scroll down the Property Name list until you find IsHiddenContainer.
The Property Value of this property is either True or False:
- True means that the folder is marked as
hidden. It does not show up in the application.
- False means that the folder is not marked
as hidden. It does show up in the application.
- Use the down arrow in the Property Value cell to change the value of the
property depending on whether you want the folder hidden.
- Click OK when you are done.
NOTE Enterprise Manager's Root Folder does not
appear in applications such as Workplace or Application Integration. This is due
to internal logic and is not based on the value of IsHiddenContainer property
of the Root Folder.
