Records management

The object store Records management site preferences determine if a specific object store supports a file plan for entry templates or supports the Declare As Record action, and defines the default file plan. Records Manager must be installed and enabled for these settings to have any effect. (This setting is not the same as the default file plan specified in the object store site preferences for records management, which applies to the records management functionality features of Workplace and Workplace XT.)

Support file plan

The Support File Plan setting determines if the object store supports a specific file plan for Records Manager. The file plan is used for Declare as Record entry templates types. The default setting is No.

Support declare records

The Support Declare Records setting determines if the object store supports declaring an object as a record. When this preference is set to Yes, the Declare as Record action is available at the end of the add or checkin process, and the action is available in the Information page and in pop-up menus.

Default file plan

The Default File Plan setting determines the default file plan used in the Declare As Record wizard. Click Default File Plan to select a plan from the list of available plans. Click Reset Default File Plan to remove the selected file plan.
