List object stores in the domain

When the default view for the details pane is set to Details, the Object Stores node presents an overview of all object stores within a FileNet P8 domain.

NOTE  You might need to refresh the Object Store node in order to view the most current object store information.

To view all object stores in the domain

  1. If the default view is not already set to Details, right-click on the Object Stores node and click View > Detail.
  2. In the Enterprise Manager tree view, select Object Stores. The details pane lists all object stores in the domain.

The following sections describe the individual columns in the details pane.

Object Store Name
Identifies the name assigned to the object store.
State
Identifies the object store accessibility state. An object store can have the following states:
Online icon On Line - the object store is available for use.
Offline icon Off Line - Content Engine is unable to logon to the object store. Possible reasons for a logon to fail include:
  • the object store's database server is off line.
  • the object store's database is missing or corrupted.
  • heavy network traffic.
JNDI Data Source Name
Identifies the Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI) name assigned to the database for the object store. The JNDI Data Source Name identifies the JNDI path where the Data Source is found. The Data Source is bound to a Connection Pool which provides the JDBC connection to the database. These values are found in the JDBC services configuration of the application server hosting Content Engine. Ensure that you have defined enough connection pools for the GCD data source. Each GCD data source should have approximately 25 connection pools defined. See the FileNet P8 Platform Installation and Upgrade Guide for more information.
JNDI XA Data Source Name
Identifies the JNDI XA name (for global transactions) assigned to the database for the object store. The JNDI XA Data Source Name identifies the JNDI XA path where the Data Source is found.
Database Type
Identifies the database engine that manages information regarding the object store. The value can be either MSSQL for a Microsoft SQL Server database, ORACLE for an Oracle database, or DB2 for IBM DB2 database.
