A stored search contains a complete search ready for your use. It can include criteria based upon contents, property values, or both. You access a stored search under Folders and Searches in the Browse page. These searches are identified by the Stored Search icon.
NOTE Use stored searches to view documents in folders, when a folder contains many thousands of documents.
Think of a stored search as a container controlled by the search it contains. When you click the stored search, the search begins and immediately fills the page with search results based upon the search criteria. From that point, you can click Get Info to open an information page on any of the objects found.
You can bookmark a stored search to add it to your browser's list of favorites. See Bookmark Folders/Stored Searches.
You can add a stored search to your personal shortcuts list. See Add to Shortcuts.
