Using the Content Consistency Checker, you can check consistency between the content in file storage areas and the metadata in the associated object store database.
When the Content Consistency Checker is installed, an icon is placed on the desktop. You can start the tool from Start > Programs menu.
You can also start the Content Consistency Checker for any specific object store by selecting the Content Consistency Checker from Start > Programs or by using the Enterprise Manager pop-up menu or the Action menu.

When you run the Content Consistency Checker for the first time, you are asked to complete the IBM FileNet Content Manager setup tool wizard before you can run the Content Consistency Checker. The wizard asks you to specify the connection parameters of an existing Content Engine domain, which becomes the initial Content Engine domain connection for the Content Consistency Checker.
You specify a nickname for the domain, the connection type, the server name, the port number, and the path. You can then specify the URL yourself or let the wizard build the URL from the preceding four parameters. When you finish, you must enter an administrative user name and password to test the connection. If the connection passes the test, the wizard creates the domain connection and launches the Content Consistency Checker tool.
