Move a work item to your inbox

You can select a work item in a public inbox and move it to your inbox for processing later on. While the work item is in the public inbox, anyone can view it or work on it. When the work item is in your inbox, only you can view it or work on it.

To move a work item to your Inbox

  1. From the Tasks page, select the Public Inboxes view.
  2. Select the name from the list, and then click the Get Info icon for the work item.
  3. In the Information page, click Move to Inbox.

TIP  You can also move a work item to your inbox from the Task Step page. Work items presented as a form might contain a Move to Inbox button.

To return a work item to a public inbox

  1. Click the work item name link in your inbox.
  2. In the Task Step page, click Return. The work item is returned to the public inbox where it originally resided.
