Class properties (Property Definitions tab)
All properties for this class are displayed. Use this page to add, remove,
or edit custom properties.
- Show Inherited Properties
- If selected, displays all inherited properties including inherited system
properties. Will not appear if the class is a root class.
- Show System Properties
- If selected, displays all system properties including inherited system properties.
- Reset Display
- Click to return to the default display order.
- Property and Data Type
- The kind of data the property represents. Supported data types are String,
Integer, Float, Date/Time, Boolean, Binary, and Primary ID.
- Is Name
- If True, the listed property is the name property. The name property is
meant to be used by the application program as a title. For example, to list
the results of a query, the application could create a title comprised of
the name of the class and the name property. If the example class was called
Loans, the name property could be the Loan Number. Only one property in a
class can be the name property.
- Inherited or System
- If Inherited is True, the property is Inherited
from a superclass. If System is True, the
property is a system property.
- Add/Remove
- Click to load the Add/Remove
Properties dialog box. The button will not be available if the selected
property is inherited.
- Remove
- Click to remove the selected class property from the class. The button will
not be available if the selected property is inherited.
- Edit
- Click to view or edit the selected the class property whose property definition you want to change . The class
property definitions property sheet appears.
- Propagate
- Click to open the Propagate
Metadata Changes dialog box. Will not be available if there are no subclasses.
