Import converted objects
Use Enterprise Manager import feature to load the objects from the converted export files
into the appropriate object stores in the destination environment.
To import converted objects into your destination environment:
- In Enterprise Manager, expand Object Stores and navigate to the object store to which data is to be imported.
- Right-click the object store, and then select All Tasks > Import All. The Import Helper opens with the Import Options tab displayed.
- Click the Browse button for the Import Manifest File field, navigate to the folder containing the converted export files, and select the export manifest file.
- If you exported content to a separate folder and you have moved this folder, click the Browse button for the External Content Path field, navigate to the folder containing the converted export files, and select the folder containing the content.
If you exported content to a separate folder and have not moved this folder, leave this field blank. Enterprise Manager uses the location specified in the export manifest file.
If you did not export content to a separate folder, leave this field blank.
- Complete the Import Options tab as required for your application. Ensure that you select the Import Object ID option to prevent losing relationships.
For information about the other options on this tab, see Import Helper (Import Options tab).
- On the Import Items tab, select the items to be imported. For more information, see Import Helper (Import Items tab).
- On the Scripts tab, identify any scripts to be used during the import. For more information, see Import Helper (Scripts tab).
- On the Advanced tab, select the options that describe any associated objects to be included with the imported objects. For more information, see Import Helper (Advanced tab).
- Click Import.
- After the import has completed, refresh the object store to update the tree view to display any imported metadata objects such as classes, property templates, or choice lists. For more information, see Refresh object store information.
