View the workflow history

The History pane displays information extracted from the event logs. Historical information displays in the order in which the log records were created. See Symbols used in Process Tracker.

The Milestones tab displays all milestones defined for the current workflow. Milestones that have been reached display the milestone message, when it was reached, and other information. Milestones that have not been reached display only the milestone name. See About milestones for additional information.

The Workflow History tab lists all active steps and steps that have been completed. You can double-click on an item to use the Status Details dialog box to view the information in an easy-to-read format.

If an exception has occurred in a step, that step displays one of the following symbols in the Status column:

Error symbol: An error occurred at the step, and the work item has been sent to the Malfunction submap—the Conductor queue.
PastException symbol: An error occurred at the step, and the problem has been either resolved by the user, or an administrative user has ignored the problem and forced the work to the next step so that the workflow can continue. This information is retrieved from the log, not the information stack.

The Step History tab displays information about the selected step if the step is active or completed. Otherwise, if the step has not been visited, no information is available.

The Work Items tab lists active work items.

TIP The amount of information available to you depends on the event logging options your system administrator has chosen. See About event logs for further information about event logging.
