The IBM® FileNet® eProcess Services Documentation package contains the installation and upgrade guides for IBM FileNet Image Manager Process Engine and IBM FileNet Image Manager Process Analyzer.

Before setting up any eProcess software, see the installation and upgrade guide PDFs in this package. These documents contain setup procedures for both eProcess products, as well as the prerequisite steps for installing the software.

For general product releases, IBM distributes the documentation package as a downloadable ISO and eSD file on the IBM web site (http://www.ibm.com/). It also posts the package as a .zip file in the web site's "Support and downloads" area on a eProcess "Product documentation" page.

For this release you will need two packages to obtain the complete eProcess documentation:

For detailed information about the contents of these zip files, see Contents of the eProcess documentation packages.

Any time a significant update of the documentation package is required (for example, in conjunction with software fix packs releases), IBM will update the posted documentation .zip files between general releases. For this reason, always check the "Product documentation" page for the very latest documentation.

Additional pieces of auxiliary documentation (for example, release notes and technical notices) are available along with updates of the standard eProcess documentation on the "Product documentation" page. For more information on related FileNet product documentation, see Accessing IBM FileNet Documentation.

To view the documentation directly from the packages listed above, extract it as necessary and open the appropriate file, which displays the help overview topic.

NOTE You cannot browse the complete eProcess 5.2 documentation directly. This release contains a subset of the eProcess documentation set, and is intended for installation on top of an existing eProcess 5.1 online help system. To browse the eProcess 5.2 documentation you must first merge it with the eProcess 5.1 documentation; for more information, see the IBM FileNet Image Manager Process Installation and Upgrade Guide.

For Image Manager Process Engine help (eProcess 5.1 documentation only):

/ecm_help/directory/_start_here.htm

For Image Manager Process Analyzer help:

/padoc/_start_here.htm

The Help files in this package are intended to be installed into a documentation server. Help links from the eProcess component user interfaces to the eProcess help topics will work only if the files are installed as directed in the eProcess installation guides. See the topic “Install eProcess documentation” for your application server.

Install eProcess documentation

Install and deploy the documentation as directed in the IBM FileNet Image Manager Process Engine and the IBM FileNet Image Manager Process Analyzer installation and upgrade guides. You can access these guides directly from the "Product documentation" page on the IBM web site. Both are also included in the eProcess Documentation v. 5.2 package:

For Image Manager Process Engine installation instructions:

/ecm_help/installation/_install_guide.pdf
