recover
This command initiates recovery for all work items locked by the specified
machine and user in the isolated region.
There are several options available for the recover command--you can
choose to unlock:
- work items locked by a specified machine and user
- work items locked by a specified user on any machine in the isolated
region
- work items locked by any user on a specified machine in the isolated
region
- all locked work items within the isolated region
NOTE In
a multi-server configuration, the recover command does not unlock work
items on a server remote to the roster. You must use unlockwob
to unlock work items in this case.
If you recover a work item while an application on a workstation is processing
it, the workstation gets an error when it tries to update the work item.
No other errors or problems result, however.
Prior to running the recover command, you should understand the ramifications
of work item recovery. See the section on "Work Item Recovery"
in the Help for Process Engine
Administration
for more information.
