If an attachment is defined as an array (a collection of documents, folders,
and so on), the access privileges specified for the attachment determine
whether you can specify the target of each array element and add or delete
array elements.
To view or modify the target
of an array element
In the open work item, click the Attachments
tab to display the list of attachments.
As appropriate, use the tools on the Attachments toolbar to perform
the following actions on the selected array element:

Assign Attachment
Assign a target to the array element. Click Assign
Attachment on the toolbar, then do one of the following,
depending on the location of the target:
If the target is in an object store or library,
open the object store or library
and browse or search to locate the target (document, folder,
stored search, and so on). If you are using the FileNet Web Services Client, see Document search
example.
If the document is either a file on a shared disk or a web
address, click Other, then
select the appropriate option—UNC for a file, or URL for a web
address.
If the document is UNC, you can use the Browse button to
locate the document.
Optionally, you can leave the target for this array element blank.
Unassign Attachment
Remove the assigned target from the array element.
As appropriate, use the tools on the toolbar to perform actions on
the target of the selected array element.
Operations on the target
View Document
View the target of the array element. If your viewer application
does not recognize the format of the target, the target will
not display. If you do not have Viewer access to the target,
the button is disabled.
Open
Open the target in an appropriate application available on
your computer.
If the target is a folder, a Browse page displays the contents
of the folder where you can select individual items. You can
then use the tools on the toolbar to perform the appropriate
operations on the selected item. Note that although the Link
Workflow and Launch Workflow
toolbar buttons appear to be enabled, you cannot link or launch
a workflow from the target.
Checkout Document
Check out the target from a library and save it on your local
system.
Checkout and Open
Check out the target and open it for editing.
Checkin Document
Check in the previously checked out target.
Cancel Checkout
Cancel checkout of the target.
Version List
Display the list of versions of the target, including
checkin information, access to archiving features, and other options.
Properties
Display the properties of the target.
To add an element to the array
In the open work item, click the Attachments
tab to display the list of attachments.
Click Delete Attachment
from array on the Attachments toolbar.
To display the elements
in an attachment array
By default, attachment arrays are expanded so that each element in an
array has its own row in the table. If an array is not expanded, click
the arrow next to the attachment name to display the array elements.
