tab to configure the Process Analyzer
Engines
to be used by the Process Simulator.
Production vs. simulation
When you create a scenario for a simulation, you have the option to import
production data to define arrival schedules for each workflow. The Process Simulator
imports this information from the production Process Analyzer.
On the other hand, when you run a simulation with publishing enabled,
the Process Simulator
publishes the simulation events to the simulation Process Analyzer.
The Process Analyzer
tab includes these fields for both the production and simulation Process Analyzer:

Host
The host name for a Process Analyzer
Engine
running on the port specified by the Process Analyzer Port parameter.
CAUTION RMI
requests to a server with an underscore (_) in the DNS name fail due to a limitation
in JRE 1.4 and greater. If your server has a name containing an underscore, you
must use the IP address or localhost if appropriate.
Process Analyzer
Port
The RMI port the Process Analyzer
Engine
uses. The default port is 32772.
Database Host
The host name of the server containing a remote database or named
instance used by the Process Analyzer
Engine.
The default is localhost.

Database Port
The port used by the server specified in the Database
Host. The default is 1433.
Database User Name
The user name used to connect the the database software used by
the Process Analyzer
Engine.
