Routing can be based on a boolean expression using the value of one or
more fields, or a combination of field values and responses. See About routing for further information.
To specify the routing based on a conditional expression
Before you specify the routing expression, check the following:
If you are using data fields in the routing expression, check that
the data fields are defined in the workflow properties. If you need
to define data fields, see Define
a data field.
If you are using responses, check that the responses are defined
in the step. If you need to define responses, see Specify
responses.
With the appropriate route selected, on the Properties
pane, click Condition.
For a simple condition using the fields in this workflow definition
(data fields, attachments, and workflow groups)
Select the Data Fields tab, then
select the field from the list of fields in this workflow definition.
Select the appropriate operator (is equal, not equal, is greater
than, and so on).
Enter the value. The value must meet the requirements for expressions.
See the Reference topic on Expressions.
Click Insert to add the expression
to the expression text box.
Insert parentheses ( ) and And and Or as needed.
For more complex condition expressions including built-in functions,
double-click in the expression text area to access the expression
builder. See the Reference topic on Functions.
TIP
If there is no route with an expression that evaluates to "true",
the workflow will stop.
