Reassign work

If the workflow definition allows you to reassign a work item, you can assign the work to another participant. You can also choose to have the work return to you for approval after the other participant has completed it, before it progresses to the next step in the workflow.

To reassign a work item to another participant

  1. On the work item page, click Reassign on the toolbar. If there is no Reassign button, you do not have the option to reassign this work.
  2. On the Choices page, select an available participant. Only individual users (rather than groups) are listed.
  3. Specify if you want to approve the work before it progresses to the next step in the workflow.
  4. Click Apply to confirm the reassignment.

NOTE If you reassign a work item to another participant, that item will no longer be available from your email Inbox, although the email message remains in your email Inbox until you delete it manually.
