If you want to modify the existing style files, we recommend that you make a backup copy of the standard set of style files in a safe location, somewhere outside of the Verity product installation directory or folder. If you make custom changes to a set of style files, it is a good idea to backup the custom style directory using the same methods. That way, you can reference all style files in the future.
If you want to modify any style files for an existing collection, you must re-index the collection's documents. The exception to this is the
style.plc
file which can be updated since it affects indexing behavior, not the contents of the collection indexes.See the Verity K2 Dashboard User's Guide and any relevant Verity gateway guide for information about using the K2 Dashboard to create and modify stylesets. Sets of style files are referred to as stylesets in the K2 Dashboard administrative interface.
