Configure step processor locations

Use the Step Processor Locations dialog box to specify the locations of launch or step processor deployed for your web applications. Each location must be relative to the base directory for the web application as defined in the URL Template.

For example, if the URL for the default html step processor looks like this, ...

then the URL for a custom step processor for the same web application might look like this ...

The URL for a custom step processor for a different web application might look like this...

You can specify a location for any of the following step processors that are applicable to your system:

  • FileNet Web Services Client
  • FileNet Open Client
  • FileNet Workplace
  • Custom web applications

To add the step processor location for a custom web application

  1. If you have not already done so, select the icon of the isolated region you wish to modify and click Properties on the toolbar.

    Select the Step Processor Info tab and enter the appropriate information. See Configure step processors.

    Double-click on the Location field of the step processor you want to modify.

  2. On the Step Processor location dialog, click Add .
  3. Enter an ID number in the Web Application field. The ID for a custom web application must be a number between 100 and 999, inclusive.
  4. Enter the Location. The location must meet the requirements explained above.
  5. Click OK to return to the Step Processor Info tab.

To modify or delete the step processor location for a custom web application

  1. If you have not already done so, select the icon of the isolated region you wish to modify and click Properties on the toolbar.

    Select the Step Processor Info tab and double-click on the Location field of the step processor you want to modify.

  2. Select the web application you want to change or delete.
  3. To make changes, double-click on the Location field. The location must meet the requirements explained above. To delete the custom web application, click Delete .
  4. Click OK to return to the Step Processor Info tab.
