Components

You can start, stop, and configure an individual component. The General tab displays read-only information about the component. The Advanced tab allows you to fine-tune the settings for a component at runtime. Changes you make to these settings affect the current process only. If you stop the Component Manager or use the Refresh All Configurations command, the component settings revert to the values set via the Process Configuration Console.

NOTE Changes made through the Process Configuration Console are not automatically picked up by the components while the Component Manager is running. For a component to pick up a configuration change, you must do one of the following:

  • Restart the Component Manager.
  • Run the Refresh All Configurations command on the Component Manager node.
  • Run the Refresh Configuration command on a specific component node.

NOTE To incorporate changes to the contents of a JAR file associated with a component queue, you must stop and restart the Component Manager.
