Managing the log files

The Process Engine creates a variety of log files. The log files contain informational, warning, and error messages from the Process Engine and from the database software that the Process Engine uses.

As log files age or increase in size, you can remove or initialize the files and archive them to a long-term storage location. In some cases, your FileNet support representative may request archived log information when working to resolve problems.

The table below lists each log file, and the type of information it records. For details on name, location, and archive instructions, click a log file name.
