Defining users and groups (Open Client/FileNet
Web Services)
Users who will create workflow definitions,
launch or participate in workflows, or monitor
and manage workflows must have access to both
the Image Services (IS) and Content Services
(CS) security systems. You can add users and
groups to the IS and CS security systems in
several ways. You can use the IS and CS security
system tools directly to create users and groups,
you can import users and groups from a Windows
domain, or you can import users and groups from
an LDAP server. Note that the LDAP logon option
is available for Open Client
only.
The procedures for adding users and groups
to Image Services and Content Services appear
below. For information on importing users and
groups from a Windows domain, see Configuring
unified logon. For information on importing
users and groups from an LDAP server, see Configuring
LDAP logon.
NOTE LDAP
logons are not supported in Process Task Manager
or the features it manages. At a minimum, you
should create user accounts using the IS and
CS security system tools for the Component Manager
and any routers you create. Avoid using the
system-created user accounts created for Process Engine
to run these features.
To add users to the Image
Services security system
Log on to the Process Engine
as a user with administrator rights.
On the Logon dialog, log on as a user with
