Changing the password for fnsw

If you change the password of the fnsw user on a Windows-based Process Engine, you must also update the background service that logs on as the fnsw user.

To update the service

  1. Open the Windows Services administrative utility.
  2. Double-click the IMS ControlService.
  3. In the Log On tab, modify the password as needed.
  4. Click OK to save your changes.
  5. Stop and restart the IMS ControlService to put the new password into effect.
