Deploying HTML Applications
Before you begin deploying HTML applications, it is recommended that you deploy
(without modifying) and run the sample HTML Step Processor and/or Launch Step
Processor applications or applets supplied with your Process Development Environment.
Successfully deploying and running these sample Processors will help verify
that your development system is correctly set up for deployment.
Deployment of HTML Step and Launch Step Processors typically involves the following
basic steps:
- Deploy the Step Processor files on the appropriate system(s). Deployment
of JSP-hosted, ASP-hosted, ASPX-hosted, etc. HTML applications is done in
a standard manner according to your environment and is generally outside the
scope of this guide. For additional information, depending upon your web application:
- For information on deploying HTML Processors for FileNet Workplace,
see "Developing
an HTML Step Processor" in the Web Application Toolkit Developer's Guide.
- For information on deploying HTML Processors for FileNet Web Services,
see the procedure in the Modifying
the Default HTML Step Processor.
- For information on building and deploying HTML Processors for Open
Client, see the Open Client Developer's Guide topic, Developing
for Process > Deploy the Open Client HTML Step or Launch Step Processor.
- Configure
the Step or Launch Step Processor using the Process Configuration Console.
- If you have not already done so, create
the workflow using the Process Designer.
- Add the Step or Launch Step Processor to the
workflow.
