Specify step processor

For each step, you specify which step processor will display the work item and process the participant's input when the workflow is running.

The workflow system provides several general purpose step processors that display and process the work item components (responses, data fields, attachments, comments, and so on) that you define.

An application developer can create additional step processors, generally for use in specific workflows. If necessary, work with your application developer to determine the appropriate step processor to use for a given step.

To specify the step processor for a step

  1. On the workflow map, select the step.
  2. On the General tab, select the step processor to use.

The workflow system administrator specifies which step processors are available to be assigned.
