Remove an isolated region

Use this procedure to remove the data structure for an isolated region. This procedure removes all queues, rosters, event logs, and the associated data from the isolated region.

The Process Configuration Console automatically disconnects you from the isolated regions after removing it. Once the action is complete, you can connect to the isolated region again.

To enable workflow processing again in this region, you must initialize the isolated region.

To remove an isolated region

  1. Select the icon of the isolated region you want to remove, then select Remove Isolated Region from the Action menu.
  2. Click Yes at the prompt if you want to continue, or No to cancel the action.

NOTE If you are using Process Analyzer, when you remove an isolated region in the Process Engine, you must also prune data from that same region for Process Analyzer Engine. See Prune isolated region data in the online Help for Process Analyzer.

CAUTION The following actions do not require the Commit Changes action. These changes take place in the database as soon as you click OK. There is no ability to undo these changes later.

  • Removing the workflow database
  • Removing all isolated regions
  • Removing a single isolated region
  • Initializing an isolated region
NOTE When you perform this action, you make changes to the workflow database structures. If you currently have data in your workflow database, FileNet recommends backing up all the servers in your VWService prior to completing this change.
