attachtran

This command allows you to attach to and display messages from an executing transfer process. You must run this command from isolated region 0. Use the region command to change regions.

The attachtran command attaches to all running transfer processes for the VWService, regardless of isolated region. The command shows the current messages from all transfer processes, as long as there is a process active. You then have the option to continue watching, to exit, or to view the transfer summary information. Summary information is displayed separately for each transfer process.

Syntax

attachtran

TIP In vwtool, you can enter parameters on the command line (following the command name) or let vwtool prompt you for the information by entering just the command name. Generally, we recommend prompt mode for all but the simplest commands. Entering the parameters on the command line is intended primarily for script-driven input.

NOTE Isolated region 0 exists in each VWService. This region contains system data and is reserved for system software use. Because you cannot modify the data in isolated region 0, most vwtool commands are unavailable for that region; the exceptions to this rule are the dump and listobjects commands, which you can execute in isolated region 0, and the attachtran command, which you must execute in isolated region 0.
