Process Service Administrator

The Process Service Administrator is an MMC snap-in application you can use to configure and administer Process Engine system components on Windows platforms. When you start a component, you spawn a process that runs in a service context. Processes started in this manner do not terminate when you log off and log back on as a different user.

The Process Service Administrator contains various components, depending upon whether it is run on the Process Engine or the web server (FileNet Web Services Client or Open Client only).. All components are described in this help system.

NOTE You cannot mix the use of the Process Service Administrator and the Process Task Manager for starting and stopping the PPM or a router. You must use the same method to start and stop the PPM or the router. For example, if you used the Process Task Manager to start the PPM, you must again use that tool to stop the PPM.
