hardcopy

This command sends your vwtool session output to a specified text file. The output displays on the terminal as well.

Execute the hardcopy command prior to executing the command(s) you want to save to a file. To stop saving session output to a file, execute the hardcopy command with no parameters and enter "n" when prompted for a file name.

Syntax

hardcopy <filename>

Parameters

filename

Name and path of output file. By default, the file is created in the directory from which you are running vwtool.

TIP In vwtool, you can enter parameters on the command line (following the command name) or let vwtool prompt you for the information by entering just the command name. Generally, we recommend prompt mode for all but the simplest commands. Entering the parameters on the command line is intended primarily for script-driven input.
