Edit attachment contents
To access the contents of an attachment listed on the Attachments tab,
click the name of the attachment to display the Attachment Contents page.
If an attachment is defined as an array (a collection of documents, folders,
and so on), the access privileges specified for the attachment determine
whether you can specify the target of each array element and add or delete
array elements.
In the illustration below, the attachment is an array with three items.

On the Attachment Contents page, use the tools on the Attachment toolbar
to perform the following actions:

Add New
|
For the selected attachment array, add a new array element. Click
Add New, then specify the target
to assign to the array element. See Edit
attachment array for additional information.

Delete 
|
For an attachment array, remove the selected array element.
|
Select a target assigned to the attachment, then use the tools on the
toolbar to perform actions on the target.
Operations on the selected target

Assign 
|
Assign a target.
Click Assign on the toolbar, then
do one of the following, depending on the location of the target:
- If the target is in a CS or IS library, open the appropriate
library and browse or search to locate the target (document, folder,
stored search, and so on) to assign to this attachment.
- If the target is either a file on a shared disk or a web address,
click Other (in the colored bar
at the top of the page), then select the appropriate option—UNC
for a file, or URL for a web address—then enter the location of
the file or web site.
For UNC, click
Browse to locate the file,
or type the path and filename.
For URL, type
the URL beginning with http://

Unassign 
|
Remove the assigned target from the selected attachment.

JavaView
|
View the target using the selected viewer.
|
Open 
|
Open the target in an appropriate application available on your
machine.
If the target is a folder, a Browse page displays the contents
of the folder where you can select individual items within the folder.
You can then use the tools on the toolbar to perform the appropriate
operations on the selected item. Note that although the Link
Workflow and Launch Workflow
toolbar buttons appear to be enabled, you cannot link or launch
a workflow from the target.

CheckOut
|
Check out the selected target from a library.
|
CheckIn
|
Check in the previously checked out target.
|
Cancel Checkout
|
Cancel checkout of the target. |
Properties
|
Display the properties of the target.
|
When you have finished, click Apply
to save your changes and return to the Attachments tab, or click Cancel
to return without saving.
