What to back up

The files and software you choose to backup depend on the back up strategy and objectives at your site. At a minimum, you should back up all FileNet Process data files and supporting configuration files. Be aware that when restoring FileNet Process files and software the files must be restored to the location from which they were backed up. If they are restored to a different location, any FileNet components that use the Process Engine will be unable to locate the restored files.

If your site has high availability requirements and you must be able to restore your FileNet Process system quickly, you may choose to back up additional files—such as application software and the operating system. You may also want to implement a fail-over system in addition to performing full backups.
