FileNet Process Analyzer Configuration & Administration

This documentation is for users who will configure and administer the Process Analyzer. We assume these users are system administrators who are familiar with SQL Server and Windows, and the following Process tools/concepts: Configuration Console, event logs, exposing fields. These Help topics will:

  • Provide procedures for and explanation of the functionality available in the Process Analyzer Engine Configuration tool.
  • Provide guidelines and, as appropriate, procedures for administration tasks including backup and database pruning using FileNet-provided tools. In cases where we expect you to use a 3rd-party tool, you should use the instructions provided by the manufacturer of that tool. For example, these Help topics specify what data you need to back up, but they do not describe how to use SQL Server tools to back up the database.

NOTE  To use the Process Analyzer functionality, you must enable it on the Application Engine or web server. See Integrating with the Process Analyzer in the online Help for Process Engine Administration for more information.

Effective dates

The Process Analyzer only analyzes workflows that are created after the date on which the Process Analyzer software is installed. Note that the time of the installation is insignificant.
