Modifying email notification templates

You can modify the default HTML-formatted text files used to create the email notifications to match your corporate identity or meet your localization needs; however, you cannot create additional notification events for your workflows.

When a notification event occurs, the Process Engine sends the notification files to the SMTP server specified via the Process Task Manager on the Process Engine where the event occurs. The Process Engine notification software locates—based on the event—the appropriate notification file, retrieves the necessary data from the notification information database, populates the file with the field information, and sends the file directly to the SMTP service for dispatch.
