Parameter |
Description |
Classpath
|
The full path to the required jar file(s), enclosed in quotes.
If more than one jar file is required, enclose each in quotes, and
separate with a colon (:). The default location is:
Application Engine/Windows
"<AE_Install_location>\FileNet\Workplace\WEB-INF\lib\eprocess.jar"
where AE_Install_location is the full path to the folder in which
the Application Engine software was installed.
Application Engine/Solaris or AIX
"<AE_Install_location>/FileNet/Workplace/WEB-INF/lib/eprocess.jar"
where AE_Install_location is the full path to the folder in which
the Application Engine software was installed.
Content Engine
"C:\Program Files\FileNet\Content Engine\WFLauncher.jar"
FileNet Web Services
"C:\FileNet\idm\web\idmws\Redist\WF_Extras\pw.jar"
Open Client
"C:\FileNet\IDM\Web\FnOpenClient\eProcess\download\pw.jar"
|
Debug Level
|
Indicates whether debugging information will be provided. Valid
entries are 0 (the default, which turns off debugging) through 4.
Do not turn on debugging unless you are directed to do so by your
FileNet support representative.
When debugging is on, each level (1-4) provides progressively more
information. The output is stored in the router
trace file, vwrouter.trc (default).
|
Enable automatic startup |
Enables automatic startup of the associated process when Process Task Manager
is started from a script. See Enabling
automatic startup for more information.
|
Isolated Region
|
The number of the isolated region you want this router to access;
the number can range from 1 - 999. A router supports only one isolated
region.
|
Local Host
|
The fully qualified name of the Application Engine or web server
where the router is running. This parameter is optional unless the
Process Engine
or Application Engine or web server
resides behind a firewall or Network Address Translator (NAT). In
such configurations, you may be denied access when you start the
router, receiving the error Failed to find Service Router.
To resolve this error, you must enter the Local
Host when starting the router.
CAUTION RMI
requests to a server with an underscore (_) in the DNS name fail due to a limitation
in JRE 1.4 and greater. If your server has a name containing an underscore, you
must use the IP address or localhost if appropriate.
|
Password
|
The password associated with the username specified in the Username
parameter.
|
PPM Port
|
The RMI port that the PPM running on the Process Engine
(specified in the Process Engine
parameter) is using. The default port is 32771; it is only
necessary to specify this parameter if the PPM is running on a different
port.
NOTE On
Solaris-based systems, you must take additional steps in order to use port 32771.
See Eliminating port 32771 conflicts
for instructions.
|
Process Engine
|
The TCP/IP name of the primary Process Engine
on which the PPM is running.
CAUTION RMI
requests to a server with an underscore (_) in the DNS name fail due to a limitation
in JRE 1.4 and greater. If your server has a name containing an underscore, you
must use the IP address or localhost if appropriate.
For Workplace,
your entry must match the Process Router
host specified in the Router site preference on the Application Engine or web server.
See
for further details.
|
Registry Port
|
The RMI port the router uses. The default port is 32771.
NOTE On
Solaris-based systems, you must take additional steps in order to use port 32771.
See Eliminating port 32771 conflicts
for instructions.
It is not necessary to run the PPM and the router on the same port.
For further information about the relationship between the router
and the PPM, see About the Process Router.
CAUTION For
FileNet Web Services Client
or Open Client,
if you use a port other than 32771, the port must be defined on
the web server to make the router available to users at logon. For
Workplace,
the registry port number must match the port specification in the
Router preference for the Application Engine. See Configure
router defaults for further information.
|
RMI Backlog
|
The maximum queue length for incoming RMI connection indications
(requests to connect). If a connection indication arrives when the
queue is full, the connection is refused. The default value is 100.
It is only necessary to specify this parameter if you want to change
the value.
|
Router Name
|
The name of the router to start. The default name is vwrouter.
The name you enter may not contain spaces.
For Workplace,
your entry must match the Process Router
name specified in the Router site preference on the Application Engine or web server.
See
for further details.
|
Seconds
ConnectRetry
|
The number of seconds that a server connection will be retried
if there is an error. The default is 180. It is only necessary to
specify this parameter if you want to change the value.
|
Username
|
A valid user name. Administrative authority is not required to
run a router.
