Show, hide, and rearrange the results columns

Use the Columns Selection dialog box to hide or display columns in the results pane, and to rearrange the order in which the columns display. You can hide columns you are not interested in, display columns that you didn't originally select when you defined the search, and change the order of the columns.

Process Administrator automatically displays the columns in the table below. These columns are not listed in the Results Options tab or in the Show/Hide Columns list.

Column heading Contents

To show, hide, and rearrange columns

The changes you make here affect the current and subsequent results sets. The columns revert to those specified in the Results tab once you re-execute your search by clicking Find Now.

  1. Click Show/Hide Columns on the toolbar.
  2. To remove displayed columns, select one or more items in the Selected columns box and click Remove. To display columns, select one or more items the Available columns box and click Add.
  3. To rearrange the order in which the columns display, click Up arrow and Down arrow to arrange the columns in the order you prefer.
  4. Click OK.

TIP If you set the search mode to Edit, the results pane displays columns that you did not select in the Results Options tab on the search specification pane. These columns are the work item's non-exposed fields. You can hide some or all of these columns using Show/Hide Columns on the toolbar.

You can "hide" columns in the current set by dragging the right border of the column as far to the left as possible.

You can also rearrange columns for the current set by dragging the column header to the desired location.
