Configuring a shared logon (Open Client/FileNet Web Services Client)

To configure Process Engine to use the shared logon option, create identical user names and passwords in both systems using the standard Image Services (IS) and Content Services (CS) tools. If user names and passwords are identical in both systems, logon information is shared between the IS and CS systems, and users need only log on one time. If the user names and passwords are not identical, users are prompted to log on separately for each system.

NOTE If you are accessing a CS library from the HTML step processor or launch processor, logons are shared only if the library has already been authenticated by FileNet Web Services. (In the Web Services interface, a key icon next to the library icon indicates that the library has been authenticated.) Upon accessing a library, other Process applications (such as Designer and Java step processor) automatically initiate FileNet Web Services authentication against the CS library if it has not already occurred. Because the HTML step processor and launch processor do not automatically initiate authentication, you will be prompted to log on to the library if the account has not already been authenticated.
