Specify step properties

For each step in the workflow, specify the properties that are appropriate for that type of step—launch step, general step, system step, submap step, or component step.

Each type of step has different properties.

  • Launch step properties
    • General: Instructions for the launch user, launch processor.
    • Parameters: Data fields, attachments, workflow groups for launch processing.
    • Assignments: Data field assignments and milestones for launch. (Assignments are post-launch only.)
    • Routing: Responses and outgoing routing.
    • Rules: Rule sets to be run after completion.
  • General step properties
    • General: Participant instructions, step destination (work queue or participant), participant privileges, step deadline, step processor.
    • Parameters: Data fields, attachments, workflow groups to use as parameters.
    • Assignments: Data field assignments and milestones.
    • Routing: Responses and outgoing routing.
    • Rules: Rule sets to be run before execution, on save, or after completion of the step.
  • Submap step properties
    • General: Submap to call at this step, a description.
    • Routing: Incoming and outgoing routing options.
    • Rules: Rule sets to be run before execution or after completion of the step.
  • System step properties
    • General: Function selection, description.
    • Routing: Incoming and outgoing routing options.
    • Rules: Rule sets to be run before execution or after completion of the step.
  • Component step properties
    • General: Operation selection, description.
    • Routing: Incoming and outgoing routing options.
    • Rules: Rule sets to be run before execution or after completion of the step.
