Manage document class links

Create, edit, or delete links from a document class to a workflow definition to ensure consistent processing of all documents belonging to the class. See About linking for general information.

NOTE To create, edit, or delete a link between a workflow definition and a document class in the Content Services (CS) library, you must log on as a member of the Administrators group.

To create or edit a link from a document class to a workflow definition

  1. If necessary, use the following steps to display the Document Class/Workflow Links dialog:
    1. Log on to the library containing the document class.
    2. Click Library Link Workflow on the upper toolbar.
  2. On the Document Class/Workflow Links dialog, select the document class from the Select document class pulldown list.

Links already defined for the document class display in the table.

  3. Take one of the following actions:
    - To create a new link, click Add.
    - To modify an existing link, select the link to modify, then click Edit.
    - To delete an existing link, select the link, then click Delete.

NOTE A link between a document class and a workflow definition is specific to the workflow definition version. If a workflow definition changes, a new version is created. To use the new version, you must create a link from the document class to that version of the workflow definition; see Manage updates to workflow definitions.
