Search tips

The search returns pages based on the number of occurrences of the word found on the pages. The highest number of occurrences displays at the top of the search result list. Common words (a, an, the, etc.) are excluded from the search. Use the following guidelines to make your search more efficient.

  • Search terms are not case sensitive. You can enter terms in any combination of upper and lower case.
  • Terms may include any of the following characters: A-Z a-z 0-9 _ - . ' , $ %.
  • Enter one or more terms with a space between them to search for pages with any term in the list.
  • Place a plus sign (+) in front of each word that must appear in the results. For example, if you enter workflow group, the search finds all pages that contain either word. If you enter +workflow +group, the search finds only pages that have both words, although the words might not be adjacent to each other.
  • Place a minus sign (–) in front of words that you do not want to appear in the results. For example, if you enter +deadline –step, Deva Search will find all pages that have the word "deadline" but not "step."
