Manage workflow links

Create, edit, or delete links from a workflow definition to a document class or document. See About linking for general information.

NOTE You must log on as a member of the Administrator's group on the Content Services (CS) library to create, edit, or delete links between a workflow definition and a document or a workflow definition and a document class.

To create or edit a link from a workflow definition to a document class or document

  1. If necessary, use the following steps to display the Workflow/Document Links dialog:
    1. In FileNet Web Services Client, select and log on to the library containing the workflow definition.
    2. Locate the desired workflow definition.
    3. TIP You can use Search to locate all documents belonging to the Workflow Definition class.

    4. Click the radio button to the left of the workflow definition name to select it.
    5. Click Link Workflow on the lower toolbar.
  2. On the Workflow/Document Links dialog, the links already defined for the selected workflow definition display in the table.

NOTE Links from a workflow definition to documents or document classes are specific to the workflow definition version. If a workflow definition changes, a new version is created. To use the new version, you must create links from the new version to the document classes and documents; see Manage updates to workflow definitions.
