Remote Server Name |
(SQL Server only) The name of the SQL Server database instance on the
remote server. This is set at installation, and cannot be changed. A blank
instance name indicates the default instance.
NOTE If
the remote database is installed across a subnet and referenced by an
alias, use the alias name for the Remote Server Name and do not enter
an Instance Name. |
