File

New

Start a new workflow definition.

Open

Open a workflow definition file saved in the local file system.

Close

Save

FileNet Open/Check Out

FileNet Add New

Add a new workflow definition to an object store or library. The workflow definition closes when the file is added.

FileNet Check In

Create a new version of a checked out workflow definition that includes any changes. When the checkin is complete, the workflow definition closes.

FileNet Cancel Checkout

Cancel checkout of the current workflow definition, discarding any changes.

NOTE For Workplace, this discards all changes back to the last checkin, including work saved using FileNet Save.

FileNet Save

Save any changes made in a checked out workflow definition.

  • For Workplace, this option saves to a temporary work area and does not create a new version of the workflow definition in the object store.
  • For FileNet Web Services Client and Open Client, this option checks in and creates a new version in the library, then immediately checks out the workflow definition.

Import workflow

Import workflow submaps, data fields, and milestones from a saved workflow definition into the current workflow definition.

Print Setup

Specify which items in the workflow definition will be printed.

Print

Print the specified items.

Validate

Check the workflow definition for map errors and syntax problems in field value and routing expressions.

Transfer

Create a runtime version of the workflow definition in the workflow database.

Launch

Transfer the workflow definition to the workflow database and start the process specified on the workflow map(s).
