On the Advanced tab of the Workflow Properties dialog, specify the following
items for advanced functionality.
Roster
In the Roster list, you can select an alternate roster
that has been defined by your workflow system administrator.
NOTE After
the workflow definition is transferred to the workflow database, you
cannot change the roster. The specified roster is in effect for all
versions of the workflow definition. See About
transfer for additional information.
Event log
In the Event Log list, you can optionally select
an event
log file that has been defined by your workflow system administrator.
Condition identifier
In the Condition Identifier field, enter an expression
that will identify a specific work item at runtime.
For example, in a workflow dealing with customer
service, the expression might be a field containing a customer number.
This value can be used by the WaitForCondition system function to identify
a specific waited-for work item. See About
WaitForCondition processing.
TIP For
the Condition Identifier, we recommend not using fields of type float
because the exact value of a float is not guaranteed. If you use float
fields, use two conditions to enclose the expected value (for example,
when testing for 1, use '< 1.1' and '>0.9').
Rules
If your system is configured for rules and you will
use rules in the workflow, specify rule sets to be run at particular
steps in the workflow. (If your system is not configured for rules,
the Rule Sets table is not displayed.) See About
rules for additional information about configuring and using rules
functionality.
In the Workflow Properties dialog, specify one or more rule set
names in the Rule Sets table.
When you transfer the workflow definition to the
Process Engine,
the rule sets you define will be transferred to the Rules Engine to
create a rule set skeleton, along with the data fields (system fields
and user-defined fields) defined in the workflow properties. The Business
Analyst uses the rule set skeleton to define individual rules that belong
to the rule set and use the available data fields.
When the rules sets are defined, you can click the
Rule Sets Usage button to specify which
steps will use that rule set and in what stage of the step the rule
will execute. See Rule set usage
dialog for additional information. As an alternative, you can specify
a rule set in the step properties for each step that will use that rule
set.
TIP In
the step properties, you can select rule sets and change the execution
order. For information about specifying rules in the properties of the
selected step see General
steps - Rules (or the appropriate topic for other types of stepsSubmap
step, System step, and so on.)
