Maintaining the log files

The Process Engine creates a variety of log files. The log files contain informational, warning, and error messages from the Process Engine and from the database software that the Process Engine uses.

As log files age or increase in size, you can choose to remove or initialize the files and to archive them to a long-term storage location. In some cases, your FileNet support representative may request that you provide archived log information when working to resolve problems.

The table below lists each log file, and the type of information that it records. See the Process Task Manager online help for more information about each log file.
