To initialize an isolated region

  1. Select the icon of the isolated region you want to initialize.
  2. From the Action menu, select Connect.
  3. From the Action menu, select Initialize Isolated Region.
  4. Click Yes at the prompt if you want to continue, or No to cancel the action.

NOTE  See Enabling CE_Operations for information about enabling workflow access to properties of documents, folders, and other objects in an object store. (Workplace only)

NOTE If you are using Process Analyzer, when you initialize an isolated region in the Process Engine, you must also prune data from that same region for Process Analyzer Engine. See Prune isolated region data in the online Help for Process Analyzer.

CAUTION The following actions do not require the Commit Changes action. These changes take place in the database as soon as you click OK. There is no ability to undo these changes later.

  • Removing the workflow database
  • Removing all isolated regions
  • Removing a single isolated region
  • Initializing an isolated region

NOTE When you perform this action, you make changes to the workflow database structures. If you currently have data in your workflow database, FileNet recommends backing up all the servers in your VWService prior to completing this change.
