Configuring email notification

Configuring and enabling email notification involves turning on the necessary event logging options and configuring email notification on the Process Engine, as explained in the sections below.

Setting the event logging options

Email notification requires that event logging be turned on for the Exception and Begin Operation categories. You set event logging options in the Process Configuration Console on the Application Engine or web server. See the online help for the Process Configuration Console for further instructions.

Configuring the Process Engine

Use the Process Task Manager to configure email notification on the Process Engine. You must configure email notification on each Process Engine in your VWService. The values you use on each server do not need to match. For more information, see the Process Task Manager online help.

You can set the preferred web application to be used for generating email notification messages. For more information see the Process Configuration Console online help.
