Unlock work by users/queues

Sometimes workflows are left locked when they shouldn't be. This could be because of an application failure that left the workflow in a locked state, or simply because someone left on vacation without resolving their pending work. Process Administrator provides you with the tools to view and unlock locked workflows by selecting one or more users and one or more queues. Process Administrator compiles a comprehensive list of all of the work items in the selected queues that are locked by the selected users. You can review this list before unlocking the work items.

You must be a member of the Process Engine administrators group (PEAdministrators by default for Workplace and SysAdminG for FileNet Web Services Client or Open Client) in order to unlock workflows locked by other users.

To unlock work items by users/queues

  1. From the Tasks menu, choose Unlock Work by Users/Queues.
  2. From the Users list, select one or more users.
  3. From the Queues list, select one or more queues.
  4. To view the list of workflows, click the Details button.

    To unlock the workflows, click OK if done, or Apply to continue working in this dialog box.
