Setting Up the JiGlue COM Bridge for Use with ASP

The FileNet-supplied JiGlue COM Bridge provides a translation layer between the Process Java APIs and COM; i.e., using the JiGlue COM Bridge enables developers to make Win32 calls that are equivalent to native Java statements. Thus, the JiGlue COM Bridge is a requirement for web services whenever a COM-based application, such as an ASP-hosted application that uses the FileNet Web Services web application, needs to communicate with the Process Engine.

Note For information on how JiGlue fits into the architecture for server-based (ASP-hosted) applications, see Process Engine Architecture - FileNet Web Services.
