The Expression Array Builder dialog helps you develop an expression for
each element in an array.
To access the Expression Array Builder dialog, click the Expression Builder
button in an expression field where
you are defining the values for an array item. For example, you can access
the Expression Array Builder in the Workflow Properties dialog, on the
Data Fields tab under Expressions when the selected field is defined as
an array.
To specify the values for each element in an array
In the Expression Array Builder, there are two ways that you can specify
the number of elements for the array, and the expression for each element:
Click the Array Elements button, then click the
Add button to add an element. Click in the expression field to specify
the value for that element. Click the Add button again to add another
element.
For assistance in specifying the expression, click the Expression
Builder button
to the right of the expression field to access the Expression
Builder dialog.
Click the Expression button, then enter the values
for all elements in the array. For example, to enter literal values
for a three element array of data type integer, enter the following:
(123, 45, 6789)
You can also use data fields as values in the array. Click the Expression
Builder button
to the right of the expression field to access the Expression Builder
dialog.
