Concepts: backup and restoreSystem failures and corruptions may be caused by any number of hardware, software, and user issues. Since a major system failure or corruption may render a FileNet Process system non-operational, you need a reliable method of restoring the system back to an operational state with minimal loss of data. In this case, you should restore all affected servers. This type of backup and restore is referred to as an enterprise-wide backup and restore. Systems may also experience minor system failures or corruptions that affect only one or more components of a FileNet Process system. To prepare for such a failure, you can back up specific components and use those backups when restoring only the corrupt component.
