Process Engine database properties

Use the Database tab to view or modify the database properties for the Process Engine.

The Database tab includes these fields:

Name Description
Remote Server Name

(SQL Server only) The name of the SQL Server database instance on the remote server. This is set at installation, and cannot be changed. A blank instance name indicates the default instance.

NOTE If the remote database is installed across a subnet and referenced by an alias, use the alias name for the Remote Server Name and do not enter an Instance Name.

Instance Name

(SQL Server only) The name of the SQL Server database instance on the remote server. This is set at installation, and cannot be changed. A blank instance name indicates the default instance. The name must meet the Process Engine naming requirements.

NOTE If the remote database is installed across a subnet and referenced by an alias, use the alias name for the Remote Server Name and do not enter an Instance Name.

Database Name (SQL Server only) The database name created during installation of the SQL Server database. The name must meet the Process Engine naming requirements.

Dedicated Filegroup/
Tablespace

The name of the filegroup (SQL Server) or tablespace (Oracle) where you want the Process Engine database to reside. The name must meet the Process Engine naming requirements.

Index Tablespace (Oracle only) Optionally, the name of the tablespace where you want the Process Engine database to store its index data. The name must meet the Process Engine naming requirements.
Version Number (Oracle only) The version of the database software.
