Define component queue operations

For component queues, you import operations from the selected Java class or (Workplace only) you enter JMS events.

In the list of Component queues, select the component queue you wish to configure and click Properties on the toolbar.

To import an operation or specify JMS events

  1. Do one of the following:
    • To configure a new component queue, continue with step 2 below.
    • To modify the configuration of an existing component queue, be sure that the .jar file containing the classes is available on the local computer, then make the desired changes.
    • In Workplace, to modify CE_Operations, copy p8ciops.jar to C:\Temp, then make the desired changes. (The p8ciops.jar file is installed on the Application Engine at ...\FileNet\Workplace\WEB-INF\lib.)
  2. On the Operations tab, click the Import button to open either the Java select operations dialog or the JMS select events dialog, depending on the adaptor type.
  3. After you have configured Java or JMS operations, click OK to close the Properties dialog.
  4. Click Commit Changes Commit Changes on the toolbar to apply this change to your isolated region. You can commit the changes immediately, or you can wait until you have finished all your changes.

NOTE After you commit the component queue definition, once it is included in a transferred workflow, you cannot delete the operation.
