Eliminating multiple logons (Open Client/FileNet Web Services)To minimize the number of times that workflow users need to log on, user names and passwords should be identical in both the Image Services (IS) and Content Services (CS) security systems. If the user names and passwords are not identical, (including case and permissions), users will be prompted to log on when they access the Process system even if they are already logged on to a CS or IS library. The following table describes methods you can employ to eliminate multiple logons.
NOTE If a user must log on multiple times concurrently with the same user name, you can increase the maximum number of concurrent logons allowed in the IS security system to accommodate the additional usage. For example, the SysAdmin user is typically used to start the PPM and router, as well as for administrative tasks. SysAdmin therefore needs a higher concurrent usage maximum than the typical user. Use the Process Task Manager Security Administration option to start the FileNet Image Services Application Executive, then use the Application Executive to increase the Maximum Concurrent Logons value, either for the user or for the system default. For more information and step-by-step instructions on using the Application Executive, see its online help.
