FileNet Open/Checkout: Open a copy or check out a saved workflow definition from an object store or library.

FileNet Add New
FileNet Add New

FileNet Add New: Add a new workflow definition to an object store or library. When the add is complete, the workflow definition closes.

FileNet Checkin
FileNet Checkin

FileNet Checkin: Create a new version of a checked out workflow definition that includes any changes. When the checkin is complete, the workflow definition closes.

FileNet Cancel Checkout

FileNet Cancel Checkout: Cancel checkout of the current workflow definition, discarding any changes.

NOTE For Workplace, this discards all changes back to the last checkin, including work saved using FileNet Save.

FileNet Save: Save any changes made in a checked out workflow definition.

  • For Workplace, this option saves to a temporary work area and does not create a new version of the workflow definition in the object store.
  • For FileNet Web Services Client and Open Client, this option checks in and creates a new version in the library, then immediately checks out the workflow definition.

Workflow Properties: Display the Workflow Properties dialog.

Cut: Cut the selected items to the clipboard. You can Cut/Copy/Paste steps and routes in the workflow map. Cut/Copy/Paste is not supported in the Properties pane.

Paste: Paste the contents of the clipboard.

Print: Print the workflow map and the step and route properties, as selected in Print Setup.

Launch Workflow

Launch Workflow: Transfer the workflow definition to the workflow database and start the process specified on the workflow map(s).
