Process Analyzer Client Configuration Tool

Use the Process Analyzer Client Configuration Tool to set up the database connection for Process Analyzer reports. You must configure reports after installing the Process Analyzer Client. You can also use the Process Analyzer Client Configuration Tool to change the configured Process Analyzer database in existing reports.

To run the Process Analyzer Client Configuration Tool

  1. Start the Process Analyzer Client Configuration Tool from the Start menu. Navigate to Programs/FileNet P8 Platform/Process Analyzer/Process Analyzer Client Configuration Tool.
  2. Enter name of the server where the Process Analyzer database is located. Depending on whether the Process Analyzer Engine has a local or remote database, your entry will be the name of either:
    • the server where the Process Analyzer Engine software was installed.
    • the remote database server used by the Process Analyzer Engine.
  3. If the Process Analyzer Engine uses a named instance of the database, enter the name of that instance. If the default database instance is used, no entry is required.
  4. Enter the path of the root folder where the reports are located. By default, Process Analyzer Client Configuration Tool displays the location where the out-of-the-box reports were installed.
  5. Click Configure.
  6. The Process Analyzer Client Configuration Tool configures the reports in the Root Report Folder as well as all Excel spreadsheets in all folders one level below the indicated folder.
