Welcome to eForms for FileNet Web Services 5.0.1

This Read Me file contains information about revisions, system requirements, and installing eForms for FileNet Web Services 5.0.1. The installed items include the eForms Step Processor, eForms Filler (Web), and AspUpload®. For information about configuring the step processor and setting up the document classes, please see the Getting Started Guide for FileNet eForms for FileNet Web Services.

What's Changed

1. When a correct F_Response option is chosen in a regular step, a "select a response" message no longer appears. (STR 21472)
2. Hyphens can now be used in the names of data documents that are added to the library.
3. A toolbar no longer appears above an eRouter Slip that is attached to an eForms Step Processor. (STR 21497)
4. When a form is filled out in the eForms Step Processor, the form no longer unexpectedly moves up and down, and objects remain stationary. (STR 21639 and 20723)
5. Templates that contain Greek characters can now be opened. (STR 21615)
6. Property mapping now works correctly for all steps. (STR 12284)
7. Previously, forms with time cells in the format HH:MM that were saved in a Content Services library for Panagon eForms 4.2.2 could not be opened using eForms 5.0.1. These forms can now be opened. (STR 23775)
8. In Internet Explorer, when you launch a workflow and then click the Cancel button the browser no longer freezes. (STR 23396)
9. The error messages for the eForms Step Processor are now more descriptive. For example, instead of the message stating "an error has occurred in the step processor" a more specific message might say "the folder may not exist." (STR 23885)

What's New

1. The workflow author can change the default width of the window by changing the efWidth step parameter for eForms and the erWidth step parameter for eRouting Slips. See the Workflow Author's Guide for FileNet eForms for FileNet Web Services for more information. (STR 21477)

Client Side Requirements

• Windows 98 SE, Windows NT 4.0 SP6a, Windows 2000 Pro SP1, Windows XP Pro with Microsoft JVM SP1, Windows 2000 Server SP1, Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP1, or Windows Application Center.
• JRE (Java Run Time Environment) 1.4.1_01 and eProcess 5.0.0-4
• Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2 or IE 6
• TCP/IP
• Successful configuration of Entrust Desktop 6 on the client machines (Entrust signing only).
• Note: The Entrust 6 Java Toolkit is no longer a required component of Entrust Desktop 6. To use Entrust Desktop 6, you must first install Entrust Entelligence 6.0 on your desktop.

eForms Designer

• This version of eForms for FileNet Web Services 5.0.1 is qualified for eForms Designer version 4.1.0.

Installing FileNet eForms for FileNet Web Services 5.0.1 

Installed items include the eForms Step Processor, eForms Filler (Web), and AspUpload.

If you are upgrading from Panagon eForms 4.2.2-0:

If you have not already installed Web Services 3.2.0a patch 2, 3, 7, 10, or later please install eForms for FileNet Web Services 5.0.1 first by double-clicking "setup.exe" and following the instructions in the wizard. Then install Web Services 3.2.0a patch 2, 3, 7, 10, or later.

If you have already installed Web Services 3.2.0a patch 2, 3, 7, 10, or later it is important that you follow the steps below. This is because our product uninstalls DocView.asp and SimpleDoc.asp, and you must be able to restore these two files from your system.

1. Back up the DocView.asp and SimpleDoc.asp files.

      Program Files/FileNET/IDM/Web/IDMWS/Redist/SimpleDoc.asp

2. Install Forms for FileNet Web Services 5.0.1 by double-clicking "setup.exe." Then follow the instructions in the wizard.
3. Restore the DocView.asp and SimpleDoc.asp files that you backed up. You will be prompted to overwrite the existing files.

If you are upgrading from Panagon eForms 4.2.2-1 or later:

1. Install Forms for FileNet Web Services 5.0.1 by double-clicking "setup.exe." Then follow the instructions in the wizard.

Globalization Considerations

Limitations for FileNet eForms for FileNet Web Services 5.0.1

The following limitations exist:

1. The + sign is not valid for any calculation property mapping value.
2. Right to left character sets (e.g., Arabic, Hebrew) are currently not fully supported. (STR 62021, 62025)
