PREREQUISITES
-------------

Program Temporary Fix UQ21696 requires Communications System/400
(5733-215) Release 1.0. Please ensure you are at this level before
proceeding with the installation of this PTF. Program Temporary Fix
UQ21696 has no prerequisite PTFs. PTF UQ21696 supersedes the prior
limited-availability PTF UQ17437 for CS/400 Release 1.0. Because
UQ21696 is a cumulative PTF (it includes UQ17437), UQ21696 may be
installed either directly onto CS/400 base Release 1.0, or onto PTF
UQ17437.

NOTES FOR UQ21696
-----------------

  Update to publication
  ---------------------
The following is an update to the DAE Installing and Configuring
Communications System/400 manual. The update applies to the
Using the Communications System for OS/400 Interface appendix,
      Create a New Node section.

    | You will need to log on as QSECOFR to create a new node.

  Note to APPC Users
  ------------------

If you have already configured APPC for the CS/400 node, then you
will have a *PGM object in library QGPL with the same name as each
of your CS/400 nodes. E.g. if the nodename=ABC, there will be a
*PGM object in QGPL named ABC.
    Do the following:
      1. DLTPGM(QGPL/xxx) where xxx is the nodename
      2. CRTDUPOBJ OBJ(CS2APPTP) FROMLIB(CS2) OBJTYPE(*PGM) TOLIB(QGPL) +
                   NEWOBJ(xxx)
      3. CHGOBJOWN OBJ(CS2/xxx) OBJTYP(*PGM) NEWOWN(CS2ADM)

This must be done for every CS/400 node you run on your AS/400.
