APAR PQ30572 Print Spooler AIX Pubs Update and Usage Information
(Optional) Resize the Print Spooler Control File (PQ30572) ---------------------------------------------------------- The following is an update to the DAE Installing and Configuring AIX Communications System/6000 manual, Configuring the Printing and Spooling Support Component chapter, Task B: Configure the Spooler REM on the Node section, Step2: (Optional) Resize the Print Spooler Control File. Note: Do this step only if you need the print spooler control file to have room for more than 99 print jobs. Using a method to resize a table (see Chapter 10, "Selecting a Configuration Method"), resize the number of entries in the as-shipped spooler control file (represented by the TCB named CS2PSF00.CS2NODE). The as-shipped print spooler control file has room for 100 entries. This provides space to store 99 print jobs. If required by your applications, you can increase the maximum number of entries up to 1000 (room for 999 print jobs). | If using the Communications System Utility Tools (CS2UTT), do the | following. | | Note: The following steps retain any current print jobs. If there are no | current print jobs, or if you do not need to save them, you can omit | steps 3 through 6 and 12 through 14. | | Stop the spooler REM | -------------------- | | 1.
