If you configure a new validation, you must also configure
violation references for the validation.
A
violation reference is a set of information that
is specific to a single instance of a violation and distinguishes
one violation from another of the same type. When a violation is recorded,
the reference information is included. Examples include:
- For a manualOverride percentage violation instance, the violation
reference would include the actual percentage, the order line key,
the list price or unit price that is associated with the violation,
and the item ID and unit of the item.
- For a line total violation, the violation reference includes line
total and order line key for the instance.
