The transfer of data pertaining to locations from Sterling Warehouse Management System to VLP is accomplished by two services - one on the Sterling Warehouse Management System side, and the other on VLP side.
The Sterling Warehouse Management System provides an out-of-the-box YNW_LocationDataExporter_91 service to upload data pertaining to locations into a shared folder, as shown in the following image.
VLP provides an out-of-the-box VLP_LOCATION_LOAD event to import data pertaining to locations from the common file. This inbound asynchronous event is also referred to as Import Location. This event is used to read the XML files uploaded to the common folder by the YNW_ LocationDataExporter_91 service.
As part of the integration, the VLP_LOCATION_LOAD event is associated to the SterlingWMS_VLPLocationLoad transport on VLP side. This transport is of the Sterling Local XML Reader transport type. The following figure shows the SterlingWMS_VLPLocationLoad transport associated to the VLP_LOCATION_LOAD event.
The following figure shows the registration of the VLP_LOCATION_LOAD event with the SterlingWMS_VLPLocationLoad transport.
The following table represents attribute mapping for location data between the Sterling Warehouse Management System and VLP.
