You can create and modify an organization in Channel Applications Manager.
To create an organization:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Organization Code | Enter a unique code that identifies the organization. |
Organization Name | Enter the name of the organization. |
DUNS Number | Enter a unique nine-digit identification sequence, which provides unique identifiers of single business entities. Sterling Selling and Fulfillment Foundation does not associate any logic with the DUNS number. |
Account Number With Hub | If the organization is not the Hub, enter the account number that the organization has with the Hub. |
Locale | Choose the organization's geographic location from the drop-down list. |
Parent Organization | Choose the parent organization from the drop-down list. |
Organization Is An Enterprise | Check this box to configure the organization as an Enterprise. Note: When you select this checkbox, the Primary
Enterprise drop-down list is disabled and the Assigned Colony Id drop-down
is enabled.
|
Organization Is a Seller | Check this box to configure the organization
as a Seller. Note: When you select both this checkbox and the Organization
Is An Enterprise checkbox, the Assigned Colony Id drop-down is enabled
and the Primary Enterprise drop-down is disabled. When you select
this checkbox but do not select the Organization Is An Enterprise
checkbox, drop-downs for both Assigned Colony Id and Primary Enterprise
are enabled.
|
Assigned Colony Id | From the drop-down list, select the Colony ID or DEFAULT Colony
ID. The DEFAULT Colony ID is installed automatically with Sterling Selling and
Fulfillment Foundation.
If you do not make a selection, DEFAULT is assumed. Notes:
|
Primary Enterprise | Select the appropriate primary enterprise from the drop-down
list. Note: The
Primary Enterprise field is disabled when you select the Organization
Is An Enterprise checkbox.
This Primary Enterprise is the default enterprise displayed on the entry point for order console screens (for example, on search screens and create screens). On the Organization Details screen, when creating or modifying a node organization, the actions that appear on the Primary Info tab of the node attributes tab are the actions created for that enterprise. Whenever any enterprise level configuration is retrieved for a specific organization, the rules are always retrieved for the Primary Enterprise of that organization. Note: The 'Primary Enterprise must be specified.' error is thrown
while saving, if neither 'Organization Is An Enterprise' checkbox
nor an appropriate primary enterprise is selected from the drop-down
list.
|
Organization is a Fulfillment Node | Check this box to indicate that the organization is a fulfillment
node. In Node, select the node type from the drop-down list. Choose the Create New icon to create a node type. |
Organization is a Yard | Check this box to indicate that the organization is a yard. |
Address | Enter the address of the organization's corporate headquarters.
This information is mandatory. Choose the Details icon to enter the address. Choose the Contact tab to view additional contact information. You can also specify Latitude and Longitude coordinates for this address. Latitude and Longitude need to be entered using decimal format with a range of -90 to +90 for latitude and -180 to +180 for longitude. |
The newly created node will be automatically accessible to the user in the following scenarios:
Any user who has access to a restricted set of nodes in the user's team configuration cannot create a ship node. Also, if the user is a Node user, and no team is associated to that user, the user cannot create a ship node.
