Before you begin
The pick execution exception codes, which are used in a
warehouse to identify a particular execution exception reason, are
usually long, and contain alphanumeric strings. Long strings such
as these are not recommended in voice-based systems because the chances
of an error occurring are high. In order to avoid such errors, a shorter
version of the code, known as a check digit, is used. Check digits
are usually 2-5 digits long, easy to read, and are used to identify
a given execution exception reason code.
For more information
about check digits, refer to the VLP Bookshelf Guide. Use the instructions
provided in this guide to configure the pick execution exception codes
check digits to upload records in VLP.

steps to configure a pick execution exception reason code check digit:

Note: Out-of-the-box, the grammar file
supports only numeric responses for pick execution exception codes
(short or skip reason) check-digits. The grammar file can be customized
to support alphanumeric values. If you want to do so, please contact
Sterling Customer Support.
The pick execution exception codes
are unique across warehouses in VoiceLogistics Pro (VLP). Incase multiple
warehouses are implemented for the same VLP instance, ensure that
for a particular pick execution exception code, the check digit is
the same across these warehouses.
