This section introduces the various terms that
are used with regard to the Billing Activity Reporting Engine.

- Clients are companies
that have outsourced some or all of their logistics requirements to
the Third-Party Logistics provider.
- Billing Activities
- Billing Activities are units of work performed at
the warehouse or fulfillment center of the Third-Party Logistics provider,
for a specific client.
- Billing Activity Code
- Billing
Activity Codes uniquely identify the billing activities performed.
Each billing activity is associated with a Billing Activity Code.
- Name
- This provides
the name or a meaningful description of the billing activity.
- Transaction Type
- The transaction type indicates the classification
to which the activity belongs.
- Ancillary Transaction Type
- These
transaction types are used to charge activities other than Receiving
and Shipping. These Transaction Types are used for Count and VAS activities.
- Receiving Transaction Type
- These
transaction types are used to charge receipt activities for the Inbound
Process.
- Shipping Transaction Type
- These
transaction types are used to charge shipment activities for the Outbound
Process.
- Group ID
- Group IDs identify
the group to which the billing activity group belongs.
- Miscellaneous Charges Group ID
- These
Group IDs are used to record miscellaneous charges.
- Storage Charges Group ID
- These
Group IDs are used to record storage charges.
- Transaction Charges Group ID
- These
Group IDs are used to record transaction charges.
- Handling Charges Group ID
- These
Group IDs are used to record handling charges.
- Unit of Measure
- The Unit of
Measure that is used to charge the billing activity.
Valid
Unit Of Measures are: PER_SKU_LINE, PER_ORDER, and so forth.
- Track Type
- The track type
identifies the manner in which the billing activity is tracked.
- System Track Type
- The
billing activity is recorded by the system.
- Manual Track Type
- The
billing activity is recorded manually by the user.
- Ship Via
- This indicates the means of transportation.
Ship Via values can include
Ground, Air, and so forth.
- Transaction Reference
- This
is the reference for the activity. For example, in the case of shipment
activities, the shipment number is the transaction reference.
