Print templates are used to format proposals in Sterling
Field Sales. You can create and configure a new print template for
a quote from the Manage Templates screen.
About this task
To create a new print template, perform the following steps:
Note: When
you log in to the hub organization, a sample XML and an XSL is provided,
which can be modified as required.
Procedure
- Navigate to the Manage
Proposal Templates screen. To navigate to the Manage
Proposal Templates screen perform the following steps:
- Log in to Sterling Business Center as
an Enterprise Administrator.
- From the System Setup homepage, expand the Quote menu
and click Manage Proposal Templates.
The Manage Templates screen is displayed.
- The available templates for a document type are displayed
in the Templates panel, and the first template
under the document type is selected by default. The details of the
selected template are displayed in the Print Template panel.
- From the Related Tasks panel, click New
Print Template to create a new print template.
- Specify the following in the Format Template panel.
Fields marked with '*' are mandatory.
- Provide a name for the template in the Print Template
Name box. Only the proposal with the name as "PrintProposal" and
its style sheets are available for printing in Sterling Field Sales.
- Enter a description for the template in the Print
Template Description box.
- Provide a configuration XML in the Print Template text
area. The configuration XML is used to display the attributes in the Generate
Proposal screen in Sterling Field Sales. You can add or
remove attributes to be printed on the proposal as needed.
- Click Save to save the new template.
Results
The new template appears in the Templates panel
under the selected document type. Details of the new template are
displayed in the Print Template panel. After you create the
template, you can configure the template by associating a style sheet
(XSL) to it.
