Various statistics about each of the system components
are collected behind the scenes while the application is running.
These statistics are persisted into the Sterling Selling and
Fulfillment Foundation Sterling Application Platform database
at intervals of 10 minutes. This is referred to as the "persist interval"
through-out this document.
