For example, consider a warehouse that prefers only products to storage as eligible for order reservation. After receipt, the product is expected to be in ’Awaiting Putaway’ status, and after move into storage the product is expected to be in ’Good Inventory’ status.
In the , the receiving dock location or zone would be configured as ’Awaiting Putaway’ inventory status and the storage zone(s) would be configured as "Good Inventory" inventory status. At the inventory status level, you would indicate that ’Awaiting Putaway’ is non-allocatable and ’Good Inventory’ as allocatable.
