Containerization Enhancement

As a part of containerization enhancements, deformable and stackable features has been introduced to help customer business requirements. While performing system containerization, the containers selected are now evaluated using a heuristic and layered approach to ensure items suggested can fit in physically and reduce the repacking effort. Customers can also define placing constraints to be considered during containerization.

Defining Deformable and Stackble Items

In release 9.4, product items can be defined as deformable or stackable. The deformable and stackable dimensions can be provided while configuring the product item.

Benefits:
  • Provides flexibility to configure product items as deformable and stackable along with the corresponding dimensions.
  • Improves space utilization of the container by using the new dimensions.

Placement Constraints

In release 9.4, product items can be defined for height and volume constraints. These constraints help in deciding the placement of the items within the container during containerization.

Benefits:
  • Provides flexibility to configure height and pack by volume constraints.
  • Efficient placing of volumetric and height oriented items within the container.
