Out-of-box JavaScript files are minified

In Release 9.2.1, out-of-box JavaScript files are minified as part of the build process. Minification enhances system performance by reducing the number of HTTP requests.

How it affects you

Existing customers are not required to perform minification; however, if you want to enhance system performance, you can minify custom JavaScript files by performing the following tasks:
  • If you extended out-of-box JSPs without adding JavaScript, update the JSP pages to point to the consolidated JavaScript file.
  • If you added JavaScript when extending out-of-box JSPs compile and minify the JavaScript files and then update the JSP pages to point to the consolidated JavaScript file.
