In Release 9.3, retailers can set up special services for the products being sold and capture information related to the special services during the order creation and use this information during the order fulfillment process.
Each of the stores or the distribution centers support specific type of service. If the order that is placed requests for any special service, then the sourcing distribution center for the order is scheduled based on the service that is supported by the distribution center and the special services requested on the order is sent out as instructions to the shipping node.
Also, it would take some time for the node to fulfill the special services requested on the order. In that case, ship date, delivery date for the order takes into account the time required for the node to fulfill the request. When multiple special services are requested for an order line, then the time to ship the product should be the consolidated time required to fulfill all the special services requested on the order.
As a vendor, you can provide a set of special services to the customers for products being sold to provide better customer experience.
