Specifying the Start Location for System-Directed Retrieval or Replenishment

To specify the start location:

Procedure

  1. In Equipment #, enter or scan the equipment you have.
  2. In Task List #/Target Zone, enter or scan the batch number, shipment number, container SCM, or target zone. If you are performing replenishment, enter or scan the wave number.
  3. In Start Location, enter the current location ID.
  4. Choose Go in the GUI mobile terminal. If using CUI mobile terminal, press F3.

    Equipment # Enter or scan the equipment ID. The system automatically considers this to suggest tasks.
    Task List #/Target Zone Enter or scan the batch number, shipment number, or container SCM. If you are performing replenishment, enter or scan the wave number.

    Enter or scan the target zone to select a task which have deposit location in the scanned zone.

    Start Location Enter or scan the start location. The system uses the location entered to suggest the next optimal task.

  5. Choose Go in the GUI mobile terminal. If using CUI mobile terminal, press F3.
  6. The Mobile Application allows users to carry a pallet or case and pick the inventory and deposit it on the pallet or case during picking, based on task quantity even if the task type is configured to pick up and deposit the inventory on an equipment. When all the following conditions are satisfied, the Mobile Application displays the Task Details screen: In the Task Type wizard, if the current task type is configured to Perform Tasks Using Selected Equipment Type Only. In the Criteria screen, if the user scans the equipment ID belonging to the above equipment type. In yfs.properties, the yfs.DisplayTaskInfoDetails is set to Y. The Task Details screen displays the Task Type, Pick Location, Item ID, Item Description, and Task Quantity fields of the current task that needs to be executed. These details helps the user decide on the destination (Pallet/Case/Equipment) to which the inventory needs to be deposited.
  7. Click Use Pallet to pick products and deposit into a pallet. For more information about this, see Retrieval or Replenishment: Picking Products into a Pallet.
  8. Click Use Case to pick products and deposit into a case. For more information about this, see Retrieval or Replenishment: Picking Products into a Case.
  9. Click Go to pick and deposit into an equipment. For more information about this, see Retrieval or Replenishment: Verifying the Source Location.
