Select this check box if you want the CICS® Universal Client to call the Windows® operating system OEM code page function to get the code page identifier (for example, 850). If the workstation is euro-enabled, code page 850 is mapped to 858 within the client to indicate to the CICS Server that the euro symbol can be used.
If you do not select this check box, the CICS Universal Client uses the Windows operating system ACP function to get the ASCII identifier (for example 1252). Use this to provide appropriate conversions for Latin-1, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese systems. If the workstation is euro enabled, code page 1252 is mapped to code page 5348.
