Enter a value in seconds between 0 and 3600. The default is 60 seconds. If you enter a value outside the permitted range, the Configuration Tool warns you. If the value entered is too low, it substitutes the minimum. If the value entered is too high, it substitutes the maximum. If a non-numeric value is present in the configuration file, it substitutes the minimum value.
When a CICS® server (region) is selected as the target of a client request, and that server is unavailable, the server is flagged as invalid, and is no longer included in the list of target regions for requests. The Region timeout (s) value specifies the number of seconds after which an invalid region can once more be included in the list of target regions.
For details of the corresponding entry in the configuration file, see Timeout (LOADMANAGER section of the configuration file).
