The following table shows the functions that you can perform with the
cicsprnt command,
and the parameters associated with each function:

Issue the
cicsprnt command
once with all the parameters you require, as shown in this example:
cicsprnt -s=CICSTSW -n=P123 -t=XPRT -f=clprint.txt -q
In this example:
- -s=CICSTSW
- A 3270 print terminal emulator is started for the server CICSTSW.
- -n=P123
- The 3270 print terminal emulator characteristics are defined by the terminal
definition P123
- -t=XPRT
- The initial transaction is XPRT.
- -f=clprint.txt
- The print file to which print requests are appended is clprint.txt,
in the default location (<install_path>⁄bin).
- -q
- The display of messages output by the command is disabled.
You must specify at least one of these parameters:
All other parameters are optional, and defaults are taken from the
configuration file. Full details
of the parameters are given in
cicsprnt command reference.
If the system running the Client daemon supports
DBCS, it is assumed that the printer attached to the processor also supports
DBCS. Conversely, if the system does not support DBCS, the Client daemon will
not send DBCS data to the printer.
