Do these steps once only:
- Start the CICSĀ® Configuration Manager ISPF
dialog. For details, see Start the ISPF dialog interface.
- Select primary menu option 1 Administer.
- On the Administration menu, select option 2 CICS Configurations.
The
list of existing CICS configurations appears. If you have just installed CICS Configuration Manager, this list will be empty.
- On the command line, enter DEF
A pop-up
window appears, prompting for the name of the new CICS configuration and, optionally, the
name of an existing CICS configuration to use as a model.
- Enter a name for the new CICS configuration.
Suggestion: CICSCM
Do
not use the name CCVSVR: this name is reserved for use by CICS Configuration Manager.
Leave
the model name blank (we do not want to base this CICS configuration on an existing one).
- On the edit panel for the new CICS configuration, enter:
- A description.
Suggestion: CCV server
- The fully-qualified data set name of the CSD file used by the local region
(without enclosing quotes).
- On the command line, enter SAVE
- Press the Exit key
(F3) to return to
the list of CICS configurations.
Tip: If you want the Exit key
(F3) to
automatically save changes, so that you do not have to explicitly enter SAVE before exiting, then open the pull-down
menu and set save confirmation off.
