APPC communication problems

The following are solutions to problems that can occur when communicating over APPC:

Automatic transaction initiation against a Client daemon terminal
does not work

Different products provide different APPC implementations for handling inbound attaches. Therefore for the Client daemon using IBM® Communications Server, Microsoft® Host Integration Server, and IBM Personal Communications, you must predefine the CRSR attach program to relay the information to the Client daemon. This is necessary to enable the CICS® server to perform automatic transaction initiation (ATI) against the Client daemon terminals.

For the Client daemon therefore, you must define the inbound attach transaction CRSR as follows:
A Client daemon running on Windows® and using IBM Communications Server
Define CRSR to use program CCLCLNT.EXE. See SNA using IBM Communications Server.
A Client daemon running on Windows and using IBM Personal Communications
Define CRSR to use program CCLCLNT.EXE. See Configuring IBM Personal Communications.
