DLLRNAME TempFix

This is an update to the DLLRNAME utility which ships with VisualAge C++ for Windows NT v4.0. The original DLLRNAME utility did not correctly change the forwarder entries in DLLs. The result of this was that executables that depended on such DLLs would not function properly. An example error message from an application that used such a DLL may be the following:

procedure entry point cpprmi40._CRT_init not found in BBBRMI40.DLL

- where BBBRMI40.DLL was the new name given to CPPRMI40.DLL using DLLRNAME.

To install this tempfix, simply copy the DLLRNAME.EXE file to the \BIN subdirectory of where VisualAge C++ for Windows NT v4.0 is installed (eg. if VisualAge C++ v4.0 is installed in F:\IBMCPP40 then copy DLLRNAME.EXE into F:\IBMCPP40\BIN).

This tempfix is not officially supported as formal testing has not been done, but it is provided to customers who have encountered this or a similar problem. Therefore it is recommended that customers who apply this fix keep a backup copy of the original DLLRNAME.EXE utility.  However, it should be noted that the next fixpak will include this fix.
