This directory contains the FixPaks for VisualAge C++ for OS/2, Version 3.0. The FixPaks are broken down into a number of different subcomponents to help simplify the FixPak distribution. Within each subcomponent, the FixPaks are cumulative, so you only need to apply the latest one for each subcomponent. The FixPaks use the following name convention: - The first two characters are alway CT. - The next character indicates the subcomponent: C - Compiler (i.e. C/C++ compilers, ILINK, ILIB) D - Documentation O - Open Class Libraries S - Open Class source code (a separate product) U - Utilities (i.e. debugger, browser, performance analyzer) V - Visual Tools (i.e. Visual Builder, Data Access Builder) W - WorkFrame - The next two characters are the version number of the product. - The last character is the level of the FixPak. So, CTC301 is the first compiler FixPak for VisualAge C++ Version 3. CTC302 is the second compiler FixPak. CTV301 is the first visual tools FixPak. Each .zip file, when uncompressed, will contain a read.me file that contains information specific to that particular component. Please read these files before installing each FixPak. The .zip files can be unpacked using any unzip tool that is compatible with PKZIP 2.0. You can get a copy of PKUnzip 2.04g for DOS from ftp://ftp.pkware.com/pub/pkware/pkz102-2.exe or InfoUnZip 5.2 (recommended) from ftp://ftp.uu.net/pub/archiving/zip/OS2/unz520x2.exe. Order of applying FixPaks: 1. reboot 2. CTC306 * 3. CTO307 4. CTW304 5. reboot 6. CTV306 7. CTD302 * 8. CTU305 9. reboot 10. If you have the OpenClass source code, apply CTS307 at any time. * FixPaks marked with an asterisk were released previously; if you have already installed them, you do not need to reinstall them now.
