Fixpack 4 --------- APAR: IR52872 Dex stops responding due to thread leak Sometime after multiple streams have been started repeatedly, the dex will stop responding. This is due to a thread leak in the dex that gets progressively worse over time. This leak is now fixed Fixpack 3 --------- APAR: IR52823 FIXPACK 3 FOR VIDEOCHARGER SERVER ON AIX VERSION 8.2 Applying this APAR will bring the VideoCharger 8.2 server on AIX up to the equivalent level as the VideoCharger 8.2 server on Linux II. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR UPGRADE =================================================== (1) If your VideoCharger Server for AIX 8.2.0 is at fixpack 7 then download "vc82fixpack8.tar". If your VideoCharger Server for AIX 8.2.0 is at any other level than fixpack 7 then download "vc82fixpack8full.tar". If you are not sure of your fixpack level run the command "lslpp -L | grep avs.de.rte" If you see "avs.de.rte 8.2.3.1" then you are at fixpack 7 and can use vc82fixpack8.tar to upgrade. For any other version use vc82fixpack8full.tar (2) Run the command "tar -xvf vc82fixpack8.tar" or "tar -xvf vc82fixpack8full.tar" to extract all of the filesets. (3) While logged in as user 'root', stop the VideoCharger Server by using the command "stopsrc -cg vs". Type the command "lssrc -g vs" to verify that all the processes have stopped. (4)Apply the updates using the command "smitty update_all". For "INPUT device / directory for software" specify the directory in which you untared the files in step (2) above. (5) On the "Update Currently Installed Software to Latest Level" panel, press the 'enter' key to start the installation program. (6) After installation has completed successfully restart the VideoCharger server by using the command "startsrc -g vs" at the command prompt. III.
