System error log shows a panic string of: "(desiredSRValue & 0x00FFFFFF) == (currentSRValue & 0x00FFFFFF)". After installing this PTF, the system must be rebooted in order for the fix to take effect. FILESETS: mmfs.base.cmds 2.2.0.1 mmfs.base.rte 2.2.0.1 mmfs.util.cmds 2.2.0.1 mmfs.smit.smit 2.2.0.2 SUPERSEDED PTFS: ---------------- APAR: IX88501 MMFS cannot create volume group with partition size > 32MB INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS -------------------------- (1) Download the files mmfs.base.cmds_2.2.0.1.bff, mmfs.base.rte_2.2.0.1.bff, mmfs.util.cmds_2.2.0.1.bff, and mmfs.smit.smit_2.2.0.2.bff in binary mode into an empty directory on your VideoCharger server. (2) Logon as user 'root'. Stop the VideoCharger Server by using the command "stopsrc -cg vs". Type the command "lssrc -g vs" to verify that all the processes have stopped. (3) Stop the mulimedia file system by using the command "stopsrc -s mmfs" (4)Apply the update using the command "smitty update_all". For "INPUT device / directory for software" specify the directory in which you saved the .bff file. (5) On the "Update Currently Installed Software to Latest Level" panel, press the 'enter' key to start the installation program. (6) After installation has completed successfully you must reboot the system.
