Subject: Fix for DB2 "Start HTML Search Server" in Windows NT The file "searchfi.zip" contains the fix for the fix for the HTTPDL.EXE error message from DB2 UDB when rebooting the Windows NT server (problem: loop, 99% CPU). This program is invoked from the icon "Start HTML Search Server" in the Startup folder. The recommended workaround is to simply delete the icon "Start HTML Search Server" from the Startup folder. The reason is that this facility is NOT used at all by TeamConnection; thus, there is no need to consume system resources for something that is not needed. However, in case that you want to use this DB2 program, then follow these instructions to install the fix: a) Download the file "searchfi.zip" as binary inside the directory IMNNQ_NT, located in the same drive where DB2 is installed. b) cd imnnq_nt c) Unzip the file searcfi.zip. Use "unzip" or "winzip" or other zipping program. Answer yest to overwrite 5 existing files. d) Reboot and verify that HTTPDL.EXE does not cause any more problems. *** end of file ***
