Refresh 2.1.13 Enhancements/Changes

All the Enterprise PL/I for z/OS compiler changes and updates which are appropriate for Windows have been incorporated into this fixpak.

This fixpak also includes support for the (NO)LINEDIR compiler option, and with this fixpak, you must specify the LINEDIR option if you want to use %LINE directives.

Other possibly significant changes in this fixpak, but not yet available in the z/OS compiler include:

• the default for the FIXEDBIN suboption of the LIMITS compiler has been changed and is now FIXEDBIN(31,63)
• the compiler will flag a DEFINED or BASED variable that requires more storage than its base variable independent of the order of the declares

The following changes and updates have been made to the integrated SQL preprocessor since the last fixpak:

• The following SQL preprocessor options have been added:
  • Call_Resolution ( Immediate | Deferred )
  • Owner ( authorization-id )
  • Qualifier ( qualifier-name )
  • TBQual ( table-qualifier-name )
  • Validate ( Bind | Run )

Java DCLGEN now supports Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) databases when using UDB V8 or later.

Refresh 2.1.13 Fixes

• All fixes delivered to individual customers since the last fixpak have been incorporated into this fixpak.
• All fixes made to the host Enterprise PL/I compiler and library have also been incorporated into this fixpak.

• The PL/I SQL preprocessor now better maps DB2 messages to their intended level of severity.
• The SQL PLAN name is now limited to 8 characters.
• Several problems with the parsing of the SQL statement have been fixed.
• The latest FixPak for DB2 V7 must be applied for PL/I programs with imbedded EXEC SQL statements to compile correctly. DB2 APAR IY16784 corrects this problem. Information on the DB2 FixPaks and instructions to download them can be found here.
