* PROBLEMS FIXED:  IC12807 - This APAR fixes a defect in PCOM 4.2 which causes 
* the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\ODBC Drivers
* to be logged for removal when PCOM 4.2 is uninstalled..
*
* This registry key is logged for removal during installation of PCOM 4.2, 
* so if PCOM 4.2 has already been installed, the registry key will still be 
* present but will be lost during uninstallation, unless a fix is applied.  
*
* There are three files provided to help resolve the defect.  Each one is 
* intended to be used under different circumstances.  
*
* 1.  Users who have not yet installed PCOM 4.2 can avoid this defect by 
* installing from a modified copy of the installation files.  To do this, 
* make a copy of the installation directory and all subdirectories, and 
* replace the file SETUP.INS with the version provided with this APAR.  Now 
* you can install from this updated installation directory, and the registry 
* key will not be logged for removal.
*
* 2.  Users who have installed PCOM 4.2, but have not yet uninstalled it, 
* must apply a different fix because the registry key has already been 
* logged for uninstallation.  Find the file PCSUNIST.EXE in the WINDOWS 
* directory on the boot drive.  (Your directory name may be different.) 
* Replace PCSUNIST.EXE with the version provided with this APAR.  To 
* uninstall PCOM, use the Add/Remove Programs object from the Control Panel.  
* Note: You must uninstall using the Add/Remove Programs object.  If you 
* plan to install another version of PCOM, be sure to reboot the computer 
* before installing.

* 3.  Users who have already uninstalled PCOM 4.2, and have lost the
* registry key, may be able to repair it by running PCSRODBC.EXE, provided
* with this APAR.  Read the file PCSRODBC.TXT for more information.

*   file containing the shipped executables.

*      1) Be SURE to download *.exe file in BINARY format.

*      2) Stop Personal Communciations.
*
*      3) Create a Temp directory and copy *.exe into the temp directory and
*         execute the file.

*      4) Backup your previous versions of the parts listed in the
*         SHIPPED column in some manner.
*
*      5) Copy the files into the directories noted in the REPLACES column above.
*
*      6) Shutdown and reboot your system.

*      7) Restart Personal Communications
