           PRE-REQUISITE SERVICE INFORMATION FOR DB2/2 VERSION 2.11


     In order to use DB2/2 Version 2.11 with a VisualInfo system, you must
     ensure that the fix for APAR number JR09065 is installed before
     installing or using the VisualInfo Library Server for OS/2 and Object
     Server for OS/2.

     The fix for this APAR will be included in the DB2/2 CSD level 8110
     8110 (or higher). If an appropriate CSD is not available at the time
     you want to use VisualInfo, you must get the individual APAR fix from
     the FTP site listed below. Follow the instructions that come with the
     APAR fix. For example, you must have at least CSD level 8090 installed
     before applying the APAR fix.

     Failure to apply this fix can cause your data to become inaccessible
     until the fix is applied. The symptom is that DB2/2 will trap at
     various points during optimization of database tables. Once this
     trap occurs, VisualInfo will be inoperative.
