FixPak UR02202 supercedes FixPak UR02201. It is not necessary to install FixPak UR02201 before installing FixPak UR02202. ************************************************************************** FixPak UR02202 for VisualInfo V2.2 OS/2 components is located in the subdirectory ps/products/imageplus/fixes/vi220/os2. To install the FixPak, perform the following actions: 1) Download the file ur02202.zip in binary mode to a temporary subdirectory on your PC. For example: [c:\] md temp [c:\] cd temp [c:\temp] ftp ftp.software.ibm.com Name (ftp.software.ibm.com): anonymous Password: ftp> cd /ps/products/imageplus/fixes/vi220/os2 ftp> binary ftp> get ur02202.zip c:ur02202.zip ftp> quit [c:\temp] 2) Unzip the file ur02202.zip using PKUNZIP with the -d option to create the subdirectory structure. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do NOT perform this step from your VisualInfo installation directory. For example: [c:\temp] pkunzip -d ur02202.zip 3) Read the readme.os2 file which was unzipped by step 2. This file is the updated README file for VisualInfo OS/2 components. [c:\temp] e readme.os2 4) To install the FixPak, type "INSTALL" from the temporary subdirectory to start the installation program. Follow the instructions presented to complete the FixPak installation process. [c:\temp] install 5) Updates are also provided for the utilities you need to migrate an OS/2 Library Server to an AIX* Library Server. The FixPak installation program does not install these utilities. If you need to migrate from an OS/2 Library Server using DB2*/2 Version 2 to an AIX Library Server using DB2/6000, copy the following files from the temporary FixPak directory to the same subdirectory in your VisualInfo installation directory: frnos2\os2db2v2\aixdb2\frnomiex.bnd frnos2\os2db2v2\aixdb2\frnomiex.exe If you need to migrate from an OS/2 Library Server using DB2/2 Version 2 to an AIX Library Server using Oracle, copy the following files from the temporary FixPak directory to the same subdirectory in your VisualInfo installation directory: frnos2\os2db2v2\aixora\frnoexl1.cmd frnos2\os2db2v2\aixora\frnoexl2.cmd __________________________________________________________________________ CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SUPPORT __________________________________________________________________________ This Customer Service and Support guide applies to U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico only.
