************************************************************************** CONTENT CONNECT CORRECTIVE SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS FILE ImagePlus for OS/390 Annotation Support ************************************************************************** This package was generated to provide Content Connect users with the capability to annotate documents stored on an ImagePlus for OS/390 (FAF) system. This fix is associated with the ImagePlus for OS/390 IODM Annotation PTF - numbers PQ21304, PQ21305, PQ21306. THIS MUST BE APPLIED BEFORE APPLYING THIS FIX !!! Following are the instructions for applying the code: ************************************************************************** To install this package: 1) IPFAF and IODM must be at the Version 3.1 Level with the Annotation Support fix installed. 2) This fix contains the following files which are replacements for those stored by Content Connect. In the EJMROOT directory -- EYPAPI.INI (Customization file in EYPINIFILE setting) In the EJMROOT\DLL directory -- EYPWJAPI.DLL (WRAPI Java Executeable in LIBPATH) EYPWAPI.DLL (WRAPI Executeable in LIBPATH) In the EJMROOT\JAR directory -- eypannot.jar (new - contains updated Java classes in CLASSPATH) 3) Download the package from the bulletin board or FTP site into a temporary directory 4) PKUNZIP the package by issuing: PKUNZIP FAFANNOT.ZIP (on WINDOWS) 5) Replace the original files with the new ones by simply copying the new files into the directories where the old files were stored. You may want to rename the original files before you copy over them in case you want to restore them in the future. 6) To enable the updated classes in the eypannot.jar file, you must change the CLASSPATH setting to include this jar file before the ejmclnt.jar file. Normally this is done by editing the Windows Batch files - ejmncl.bat and ejmnrspm.bat (if it exists) - to use this new jar file first. These Batch files are located in the \EJMROOT directory. 7) You MUST include a new InitString parameter when you define your ImagePlus for OS/390 server in the System Admin program. The new InitString parameter is - FAFSITE=CS81 (where CS81 is the 4 character FAF site Id) Note for IWP users: The Content Connect viewer allows you greater flexibility when annotating a document than the IWP viewer. IWP will only display notes and highlights when displaying annotations even if other types exist. These other annotations are not lost if the IWP user updates the document annotations even though they are not visible. **************************************************************************
