APAR IC22605 Description: When Double Byte (Japanese, Korean, or Chinese) characters are entered into a Lotus note and the user attempts to fax the note, the fax note is not sent to the fax addresses. When attempting to send a fax from a Windows NT machine running in a Double Byte Character Set locale (Japanese, Korean, or Chinese) the following error message may appear: FAXport Printer Service Error 0 calling WinExec ("c:\notes\" /p) In addition, the following message may appear on the server console: Application Error Notification An application error has occurred in the program lans32s.exe Crash information will be saved to the file NOTES.RIP in C:\Notes\Data Please report this crash to the vendor of the faulting application. Once this error occurs, the user is unable to successfully start the FAX Communication Server. Summary: The program used on the server to convert Double Byte (Japanese, Korean, or Chinese) characters to a faxable image contained an error. Conclusion: Once the FAXport and WINport products have been installed on the server, replace the file 'printtif.exe' with the included version of the file.
