IBM DirectTalk for Windows V3.0, ServicePak 6, Download Instructions ==================================================================== The files provided here supply ServicePak 6 (PTF IP22274) for IBM DirectTalk for Windows V3.0, IBM DirectTalk for Windows NT V3.0 and Corepoint Voice Response for Windows V3.0. This ServicePak changes the code modification level to 3.0.6 and re-brands the product to IBM DirectTalk for Windows V3.0 if applied to any existing IBM DirectTalk for Windows NT V3.0 or Corepoint Voice Response for Windows V3.0 installation. The ServicePak is supplied either as a single large download containing the full ServicePak release or a number of smaller downloads. Downloading either the full ServicePak or the component parts will produce the same result when expanded. Each download is a zip file in the form of a self-extracting exe. The component parts are packaged as follows: 1) The CSD6 package which contains the sum of the remaining packages. 2) The DTWIN package provides the code changes to the base product for the new function, re-branding and APAR fixes which are described in the readme.txt file. 3) The DOCS package contains a complete set of PDF and HTML docs, re-branded for IBM DirectTalk for Windows. This package is unchanged from that supplied in ServicePak 5 (PTF IP22156). 4) The ACULAB package contains release 5.9.1 of Aculab software and the Aculab VisualCallGen utility. This package must be applied for Aculab boards. The 3.0.6 code level of DirectTalk supplied with this ServicePak requires Aculab 5.9.1 to to interface to an Aculab board. 5) The VIAVOICE package contains CSD 2 for IBM DirectTalk Speech Technologies using ViaVoice. This package is required for all ViaVoice servers used with this service level of DirectTalk. 6) The ACROBAT package contains the Acrobat reader utility used to access the PDF format documentation. 7) The DIALOGIC_1 package contains a new release of the Dialogic software at DNA 3.3 level plus service fixes over and above this level. This package must be downloaded if you have downloaded it in ServicePak 3 (PTF IP21926) or ServicePak 4 (PTF IP22077) in order to get the service fixes. This package is unchanged from that supplied in ServicePak 5 (PTF IP22156). 8) The DIALOGIC_2 package contains Dialogic documentation for DNA 3.3. This is the same documentation as supplied with ServicePak 3 (PTF IP21926). 9) The VCS package contains an updated install for the VCS voice recognition for Dialogic Antares boards and is only needed if you use VCS Voice Recognition on Antares. This package is unchanged from that supplied in ServicePak 1 (PTF IP21558). The minimum download consists of the DTWIN package. The following files are available: o download.txt - This file, which contains download instructions. o readme.txt - A copy of the readme.doc file from the ServicePak. This contains instructions to install the ServicePak and details of problem fixes and added function. o csd6.exe - The full CSD6 package. o dtwin.exe - The DTWIN package. o docs.exe - The full CSD6 package. o dialogic1.exe - The DIALOGIC_1 package. o dialogic2.exe - The DIALOGIC_2 package. o vcs.exe - The VCS package. o aculab.exe - The ACULAB package. o acrobat.exe - The ACROBAT package. o viavoice.exe - The VIAVOICE package. The docs package is not required if you installed the on-line documentation when you installed the product (.html files) the base package will automatically update this. The docs package is provided to allow the documentation to be printed (PDF files) or viewed before installing the ServicePak or you wish to use the multiple document search facility provided by Adobe Acrobat. Download the files you require to a temporary directory and execute them. Due to the size of some of the files it is recommended that you use a file transfer utility that can resume the download in the event of a break in transmission. There are a number of such utilities available. On executing the files you will be prompted for a directory to unpack them. It is suggested you select an empty directory to make file cleanup easier. They will unpack into a directory tree similar to that on the CD-ROM version of the ServicePak. Follow the instructions provided in the readme.doc file (or readme.txt above) to continue the installation. References to the CD-ROM in readme.doc should be substituted by the temporary directory where you have unpacked the images. Considerations for Removing the ServicePak ========================================== If you choose to back up existing files during the ServicePak install you should also retain the base package to allow possible removal of the ServicePak at a later time. The other packages are not required for the uninstall process and can safely be deleted after the ServicePak update has been applied.
