Direct SQL Access support is an optional feature of Digital Library, it is
not required for the product.  Early versions of the DL Version 1 to Version 2
migration utilities did not contain this support.

To add Direct SQL Access support to your Library Server database after
successfully migrating from Digital Library Version 1 (or Digital Library
Version 2 Beta) to Digital Library Version 2 GA level, execute the
following steps:

frnxmilt.db2.exe
frnxmilt.bnd
frnnmilt.db2.exe
frnnmilt.bnd


For AIX,
1) download    frnxmilt.db2.exe and frnxmilt.bnd to your library server machine
2) Issue frnxmilt.db2.exe {dbname}  OPENSQL
     where   -  "dbname" is the name of the database you imported into

 Note:  Warning messages for some view names will be displayed
 (accompanied by sqlcodes of -104 and -107) and are expected.


For NT,
1) download    frnnmilt.db2.exe and frnnmilt.bnd to your library server machine
2) Issue frnnmilt.db2.exe {dbname}  OPENSQL
     where   -  "dbname" is the name of the database you imported into

 Note:  Warning messages for some view names will be displayed
 (accompanied by sqlcodes of -104 and -107) and are expected.
