Service Summary

The Corrective Service associated with this FixPak includes
fixes and enhancements to be applied only following normal 
installation of the Digital Library Collection Treasury
Version 1 CD-ROM contents (product number 5799-B66).

IMPORTANT:  All updates from this service delivery, i.e., all
    service packs for all platforms, are required.

This file provides an overview of the associated service and
highlights important service installation requirements.  

OS/2 IMGPREP

Symptom:  IMGLYSTY.EXE fails to execute.

AIX Loader
__________

Symptom: Unable to create the DLCT sample index class.

Web EUI 
_______

Symptom: The DLCT sample application home page as described in
         Chapter 6 of the DLCT Implementation Guide will have
         incorrect options for categories.

II. SERVICE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

In general, it is highly recommended that you backup your existing
DLCT product files BEFORE you install the updated files.  If you
experience problems following the service installation, backup files
enable you to restore your complete system to its prior
state.

NOTE:  All DLCT components to be updated should be shut down
       completely before attempting to install the fixes.

APPLYING SERVICE ON OS/2
________________________

This FixPak for DLCT V1.0 for OS/2 is named fix1.os2.zip.

To install the FixPak, perform the following actions:

  1) Download the fix1.os2.zip file in binary mode to a
     temporary subdirectory on your workstation where you have
     installed IMGPREP.

  2) Unzip the fix1.os2.zip file using PKUNZIP2.

  3) A CPPOM30.DLL file will be placed in the directory as a result of
     Step (2).  You will need to copy CPPOM30.DLL to the install
     directory of IMGPREP.  The CPPOM30.DLL is required by IMGLYSTY.EXE. 

APPLYING SERVICE ON AIX

This FixPak for DLCT V1.0 for AIX is named fix1.aix.tar.Z

To install the FixPak, perform the following actions:

  1) Download the fix1.aix.tar.Z file in binary mode to 
     the AIX machine where you have installed DLCT.

  2) Place this file in the /tmp directory.

  3) Logon to the AIX machine as root.

  4) Issue the following sequence of commands:
     cd /usr/lpp/dlct/ias
     zcat /tmp/fix1.aix.tar.Z | tar -xvf -
     exit  

     This sequence of commands will replace the following
     files:

     /usr/lpp/dlct/ias/bin/createSampleArchive
     /usr/lpp/dlct/ias/com/ibm/dl/iaload/SampleArchive.class
     /usr/lpp/dlct/ias/view/archive.html
     /usr/lpp/dlct/ias/view/archive.wpb
     /usr/lpp/dlct/ias/view/advanced.wpb
