INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR AIX
---------------------------------

1. Ensure you are active as the root user.

2. Change the working directory to a read/writable directory.

3. Download the aixptf010720.tar file.

   See aparlist.txt for the list and description of fixes that are
   included in this PTF.

4. Untar the downloaded file, e.g.
   tar -xvf aixptf010720.tar

5. Stop DB2 and the DB2 XML Extender.

6. On AIX, issue "slibclean" to clean out all cached copies of the
   shared libraries.

7. Replace the appropriate files in the XML Extender installation
   bin, bnd, and lib directories with the new files provided in this PTF.

8. Rebind your databases with the new bnd files using dxxbind.lst.
