Release Notes addendum for Hybrid Analysis patch

This document is a supplement to the release notes for FixPak 1 Japanese for DB2 OLAP Server V8.1.  That FixPak introduces a problem that might cause the Hybrid Analysis feature in DB2 OLAP Integration Server to fail.  This document describes how to apply the patch that corrects the problem.

You need to apply this patch if you have installed FixPak 1 Japanese and get the following error when you use Hybrid Analysis:

The version of Hybrid Analysis catalog is older than that of the server. You need to migrate the catalog by using EIS.

To fix this problem, you must upgrade your Hybrid Analysis catalog.  Additionally, before importing any XML files, you must replace two DTD files in DB2 OLAP Integration Server.  Take the following steps:  

  1. Upgrade your catalog automatically be using the OLAP Metadata Catalog Setup dialog in Integration Services Console.  Alternatively, you can upgrade the catalog manually by running the script  oc_upgrade651_db2.sql  in the  \ibm\db2olap\is\ocscript  directory. 
  2. In the ..\is\bin directory, create a backup copy of your existing motl.dtd and model.dtd files.  For example, in the default installation directory of  C:\ibm\db2olap\is\bin directory, rename the motl.dtd file to motl.dtd.backup, and  rename the model.dtd file to model.dtd.backup.
  3. Download the fixpak_patch.zip file from the IBM FTP site to your ..\is\bin directory.
  4. Extract the motl.dtd and model.dtd files from the ZIP file to the  ..\is\bin directory.  You can delete ZIP file when you are done.
