1.  ABOUT HYPERION ANALYZER 5.0.3



  Hyperion Analyzer 5.0.3 is a maintenance release only, designed

  to address specific bugs and issues.  See the Fixes section for

  more information.

2. SYSTEM LIMITATIONS



- Microsoft Internet Explorer users must install the Java Virtual

  Machine for Microsoft Windows version 5.00.3186 or later to

  ensure proper functionality of the Hyperion Analyzer Java Web

  client, Hyperion Analyzer Excel Add-in, and Hyperion Analyzer

  Analysis Server console.



- Due to Java's OS independent nature and in order to be Java

  Certified, the Hyperion Analyzer Java Web client will not use

  local machine regional settings grouping and decimal symbols.  

  Standard internationalization Java classes that support the

  most common grouping and decimal conventions for local languages

  have been employed to handle grouping and decimals.  00-08-0062

3. LIMITATIONS AND KNOWN PROBLEMS



The following list describes known problems in this release:



  Pin graphics must contain fewer than 256 colors, especially for

  pinboards distributed across the Web.  Pin graphics exceeding

  this limitation prompt Web clients to ignore colors assigned as

  transparent.  00-12-0021

- Percentage signs now display uniformly between the Windows Client

  and the Java Web Client.  00-10-0054



- Hyperion Analyzer Desktop response times have been improved.

- Administration Tools no longer permits the creation of duplicate

- View Group icons now display in the same order on the Hyperion

  Analyzer Desktop as they do in the View Manager.  01-01-0042



- The Hyperion Analyzer Application Server (NTSVC) no longer

  generates Access Violations when linking between Pinboards and

- Semi-colons and colons no longer display as Ctrl characters

  (black boxes) in Web clients.01-02-0010



- Cube Navigator returns the user to the Form, as opposed to the

  specific embedded view in the Form.01-02-0015



- Option Buttons work correctly on Forms opened with Service

- Users are not prompted to log on to every database connection

- Printing Forms no longer prompts Access Violation errors.

- Oracle 8i and Microsoft SQL Server 7 users:  Setting the Keep

  Connection registry key to zero (0) no longer causes "cannot

  perform operation on a closed database."  01-03-0015



- Default Chart user settings are now copied when user IDs are

  cloned or when UsrUtil.exe is used.  01-03-0016



- The Search dialog box is quicker.  01-04-0001



- Charts display types display regularly, and are no longer

  impacted by French (Swiss) and German regional settings.

- Views from other view groups no longer open when launching a 

  view group from the Hyperion Analyzer Desktop.  01-04-0008



- Users can no longer erroneously maximize or minimize the Edit

- The Chart Axes|Details|Scale logarithmic property is no longer

  honored when the Y axis is not visible, and thus prevents

- Multiple users simultaneously displaying a view that is being

  edited via Edit Data no longer receive Access Violation

- Hyperion Analyzer API Toolkit is no longer negatively impacted

  by the Microsoft Windows 98 operating systems/Web browsers.

  displaying "No View Groups are accessible" error.
