Essbase Enterprise Services Console features an HTML-based, cross-platform online help system. It provides information about using Essbase Enterprise Services Console's features and provides direct links to other Hyperion Essbase documentation where appropriate.
You can launch the online help system in the following ways:
Click the Help button on the toolbar.
Select the Help menu and then select Management Console Online Help.
The online help opens in your default Web browser, either Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. For best results, we recommend viewing help in the most recent version of either browser. See Browser Limitations and Workarounds for limitations of older browsers and suggestions for improving the look of the online help.
In the Web browser, the left pane contains the Contents, Index, and Search tabs for the online help system. The right pane displays help topics. Navigate to topics by clicking on them in the Contents, Index, or Search lists. For information on how to print help topics, see Printing Help Topics.
You can use the browser's navigation aids to navigate through the online help. You can resize the browser window to the desired size.
Use the browser's Back button to return to the previously viewed topic. Use the Forward button to go to the topic that was displayed prior to going back.
If you want to hide the help system's navigation pane, which includes the Contents, Index, and Search tabs, click the Hide Navpane button at the top right of any help topic. If you have hidden the navigation pane and want to see it again, click the Show Navpane button.
As you navigate to various help topics through links or jumps, you may lose your place in the Contents list. If you want to know where the topic you are viewing falls in the contents list, click the Sync TOC button at the top right of the help topic. This synchronizes the table of contents with the topic currently displayed in the topic pane.
