You can modify certain user properties, including their name and description. Other user properties are read only. By default, read/write properties are indicated by blue text on a white background. By default, read only properties are indicated by pink text on a white background. You can change the color defaults of property fields by modifying your preferences.
To modify user properties:
In the navigation panel of the Essbase Enterprise Services Console, click next to Accounts to expand it.
Click next to Users to display a list of users.
Select a user for which you want to modify its properties. The user properties are displayed in the workspace panel.
In the workspace panel, edit the following fields, if applicable:
Name - Displays the username.
Description - A description about the user.
Password - Specifies the user's password.
Email Address - The user's e-mail address for notification.
Count of Groups - This field is not editable.
Group Names - The name of the group for which this user belongs. This field is not editable.
Click Save to save the user properties.
Note: If you had changed any values since your initial settings, click Refresh to update values on the server.
