After adding the Essbase servers to your domain, start the servers to access the information on them.
Note: You must set the start command property value for the Essbase server before you can start the server.
To set the start command property:
In the navigation panel, click next to Servers to expand it.
Under Servers, click next to OLAP Servers to expand it.
Under OLAP Servers, select the Essbase server that you want to start.
The properties for the OLAP server that you selected are displayed in the workspace panel. In this panel, edit the following information:
Name - Displays the name of the Essbase server.
Description - Describes the Essbase server.
Start Command - Specifies the command that starts the Essbase server; for example, startOlapServer.cmd.
Start In Directory - Specifies the location of startOlapServer.cmd; for example, C:\Hyperion\essbase\bin.
Click Save to save your settings.
To start Essbase servers:
In the navigation panel, click next to Servers to expand it.
Under Servers, click next to OLAP Servers to expand it.
Under OLAP Servers, select the Essbase server that you want to start, then right-click.
From the right-click menu, select Start.
