After adding Essbase Enterprise Services servers to your domain, you must start the servers in order to access the information on them.
Note: You must set the start command property value for the Essbase Enterprise Services server before you can start the server.
To set the start command property:
In the navigation panel, click next to Servers to expand it.
Under Servers, click next to Enterprise Servers to expand it.
Under Enterprise Servers, select the Essbase Enterprise Services server that you want to start.
In the workspace panel, the properties for the Enterprise server that you selected is displayed. On the Properties tab of this panel, edit the following information:
Name - Displays the name of the Essbase Enterprise Services server.
Description - Description of the Essbase Enterprise Services server.
Start Command - Specifies the command which starts the Essbase Enterprise Services server; for example, startees.cmd.
Start In Directory - Specifies the directory from where Essbase Enterprise Services is started; for example, D:\essenterprise\bin.
Click Save to save your settings.
To start Essbase Enterprise Services servers:
In the navigation panel, click next to Servers to expand it.
Under Servers, click next to Enterprise Servers to expand it.
Under Enterprise Servers, select the Essbase Enterprise Services server that you want to start, then right-click.
From the right-click menu, select Start.
