Creating Applications

An application is a management structure containing one or more Essbase databases. In Essbase Enterprise Services Console, you must specify the name of an application in order to access the database associated with it.

To create an application:

1. Under OLAP Servers in the navigation panel, select an Essbase server, then right-click.
2. From the right-click menu, select Create > Application.
3. In the dialog box that is displayed, enter the name of the application; for example, Sample.
4. Click OK.
