Adding Essbase Servers

Essbase servers run applications for multidimensional databases. You must define the Essbase servers that will be part of your Essbase Enterprise Services domain.

To add Essbase servers to the domain:

1. In the navigation panel of the Essbase Enterprise Services Console window, click next to Server to expand it.

2. Under Server, select OLAP Servers, then right-click.

3. From the right-click menu, select Create > OLAP Server. A dialog box to type the OLAP server name is displayed.

4. In the dialog box, type the name of the Essbase server that you want to add to the domain. The name of the Essbase server can be the host name of the computer or its numeric IP address.

5. Click OK. The Essbase server with the name you specified is displayed under the list of OLAP servers in the navigation panel.
