PTF IP22989 fixes APAR IC58821 This fix handles the following situation: Net Search Extender queries with DBCS search terms can sometimes fail with a reported syntax error, even though the syntax appears to be correct. Examples for such failing queries are SECTION searches where the DBCS search term is in a section that is not the last one. The failure has only been observed on Windows 32bit so far. Apply the fix only to Net Search Extender installations on DB2 9.5 GA, FP1 and FP2. The PTF will be superseded by NSE 9.5 FP3, as soon as that is available. Installation on Windows 32bit ============================= 1. Stop NSE and DB2 2. locate the libraries ctecp.dll and cteue.dll in your DB2 installation (in ....\SQLLIB\BIN). 3. rename the two libraries to ctecp.dll.orig and cteue.dll.orig, respectively 4. copy the two libraries contained in this PTF to the SQLLIB\BIN directory 5. restart DB2 and NSE 6. optional: run nsesample on a new database to verify basic functionality
