Deinstall an older Net Search Extender 9.5 ========================================== Complete the following steps to uninstall Net Search Extender correctly on UNIX. For each DB2 instance from which you want to uninstall Net Search Extender: 1. Switch to the user ID of the DB2 instance Do NOT disable the database for text. That will drop all your indexes 2. Stop the DB2 Net Search Extender instance 3. Stop the DB2 instance. Ensure that you are active as the root user. Change your working directory to the DB2 path where you want to remove Net Search Extender. For example, cd /opt/IBM/db2/V9.5/install. 4. Issue the command ./db2nse_deinstall. Installing on HP-UX IA64 ======================== 1. Log in at the target machine as the root user. 2. Extract db2_v95fp3_hpipf64_ia64_nse.tar.gz 3. Execute the setup script for your platform.
