APAR IC44784   -   apply to Net Search Extender 8.2 (FP7); 
                   search for boolean operators '& NOT' inside a section terminates abnormally


Installation instructions:

Stop Net Search Extender (db2text stop force)
Stop DB2 (db2stop force)

Uncompress and untar IP22843.tar.Z to a temporary directory
2 subdirectories '32bit' and '64bit' are created which contain
the 32bit and 64bit variants of the replacement libraries.


As root:
Run slibclean to unload libraries from memory

Change to /usr/opt/db2_08_01/lib
Replace the following original libraries with the 32bit libraries:
libcteue.a
libctecp.a

Change to /usr/opt/db2_08_01/function
Replace the following original libraries with the 32bit libraries:
libcteue.a
libctecp.a


Change to /usr/opt/db2_08_01/lib64
Replace the following original libraries with the 64bit libraries:
libcteue.a
libctecp.a

Change to /usr/opt/db2_08_01/function64
Replace the following original libraries with the 64bit libraries:
libcteue.a
libctecp.a


make sure that all replaced files are owned by bin:bin and have permission 444

run db2iupdt for all 32bit DB2 instances, and for all 64bit instances, if you have any.

restart DB2 (db2start)
restart Net Search Extender (db2text start)
