            Installation Instructions for DB2 Extenders Version 5.2 PTF
               Windows NT in partitioned database server environment 
 
 
    INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
    _________________________
 
    To install the PTF for DB2 Extenders in Windows NT, you need 20 megabytes   
    of free disk space on the target drive. The disk space is freed when 
    installation is complete.


 
    INSTALLING THE DB2 EXTENDERS PTF IN WINDOWS NT
    ___________________________________________
 
    To install the DB2 Extenders PTF in Windows NT, you perform the following
    steps:
 
    1. Download wr21078.exe in binary mode.
 
    2. Run wr21078.exe to extract all the files needed for the installation.
 
    3. Stop DB2 and DB2 extenders if the extenders are running.
 
    4. Run service.bat to perform the installation.
 
       After installation is complete, the service level of the product is
       recorded in %DMBPATH%\AIVLEVEL.
 
    5. Reboot the system to make the changes effective.
