            Installation Instructions for DB2 Extenders Version 5.0 PTF
                                    Windows 3.1
 
 
    INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
    _________________________
 
 
    To install the PTF in Windows 3.1, you need 0.5 megabytes of free disk
    space on the target drive. The disk space is used during installation
    It is freed when installation is complete.
 
 
    INSTALLING THE DB2 EXTENDERS PTF IN WINDOWS 3.1
    ___________________________________________
 
    To install the DB2 Extenders PTF in Windows 3.1, you perform the following
    steps:
 
    1. Download wr20943.exe in binary mode.
 
    2. Run wr20943.exe to extract all the files needed for the installation.
 
    3. Stop DB2 and the DB2 extenders if they are running.
 
    4. Run service.bat to perform the installation.
 
       After installation is complete, the service level of the product is
       recorded in %DMBPATH%\AIVLEVEL.
 
    5. Reboot the system to make the changes effective.
