          Welcome to IBM DB2 Universal Database Text Extender
                         FixPak WR20050
                     for Windows NT Server 
                         Version 5.0.0


    INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
    _________________________

    To install the PTF WR20050, you need 10 megabytes of  
    free disk space on the target drive. 


    INSTALLING PTF WR20050 
    ______________________

    To install the DB2 UDB Text Extender PTF in Windows NT, 
    you need to perform the following steps:

    1. Download file wr20050.exe in binary format.
    2. Copy the file to a separate directory.
    3. Run wr20050.exe to extract all the files needed for the installation.
    4. Read the README file for further FixPak information and prerequisites
       before installing the FixPak. Follow all steps described in the README 
       file, before installing the FixPak. 
    5. To install the FixPak enter from the DB2 command prompt:
         service
    6. Reboot the system to make the changes effective.
