BACKOUT

>>-BACKOUT-----------------------------------------------------><

BACKOUT is an ISQL command that is meaningful only while you are using the INPUT command with AUTOCOMMIT on. It nullifies all changes made since the last SAVE command. If no SAVE command has been issued, all changes are nullified since the start of the INPUT command.

With AUTOCOMMIT off, BACKOUT has no effect. You must enter a ROLLBACK statement to nullify all input data. This also nullifies all changes made during the current logical unit of work. You must end the INPUT command (by using the END command) before issuing the ROLLBACK statement.
