Windows® 2000
DB2 Universal Database supports the following Windows 2000 features:
- Active Directory. The DB2 services are published in the Active Directory
containing the protocol configuration information that allows client applications
to connect to the DB2 database server.
- Kerberos Security. DB2 authentication can be accomplished using the single
sign-on facilities of Kerberos. DB2 authentication is unchanged for environments
without Kerberos.
- Microsoft® Management Console. The DB2 Universal Database Control Center
can be launched from Microsoft Management Console.
