DB2 Universal Database provides you with integrated online analytical processing (OLAP) capabilities through the DB2 OLAP Starter Kit. The Starter Kit is based on the DB2® OLAP Server product and Hyperion's industry-leading Essbase technology. The Starter Kit provides rich OLAP Essbase API compatibility, enabling a broad range of ready-to-use applications with easy upgrade to the full DB2 OLAP Server.
