DB2 is now both an OLE DB provider and an OLE DB consumer. This support gives customers with OLE DB-based applications the ability to extract or query DB2 data using this native OLE interface. In addition, you can load data into DB2 or simply access OLE DB data using OLE DB table functions. OLE DB table functions combined with DB2's distributed query capability enable distributed query on OLE DB, DB2, and other data sources.
