Troubleshooting Guide
Before contacting DB2 Customer Support, you should do the following:
- Attempt to solve the problem using all available information, including
the resources and methods described in this guide and on the DB2 Web site at
http://www-4.ibm.com/software/data/db2/library/
(Note that this information is in English only.)
- Output from db2level. This allows DB2 Customer Support
to quickly know which version and fix pack level of DB2 you are
using.
- Collect diagnostic information (as a minimum, the
db2diag.log file and any dump or trap files). For
information on what to collect, see the relevant chapters in Part 1.
For information on how to collect it, see Part 2, Advanced DB2 Troubleshooting.
When you can proceed no further on your own, contact DB2 Customer
Support.
For more information on IBM contacts, see Contacting IBM.
