Setting up Client-to-Server Communications

The following chapters describe how to configure DB2 clients to access remote servers, as well as how to install and configure the DB2 Control Center.

All DB2 clients can be configured to access remote servers using the command line processor (CLP). OS/2 and Windows-32 bit DB2 clients can also be configured to access remote servers using the Client Configuration Assistant (CCA).

If you are planning to use the CLP to configure client-to-server communications using NetBIOS, IPX/SPX, APPC or Named Pipes, refer to the Installation and Configuration Supplement.
