This chapter describes the software requirements for the Warehouse Manager components.
Warehouse Manager components require a Version 7 DB2 client or DB2 server, depending on the component. Unless otherwise mentioned, the Version 7 DB2 client is installed when you install Warehouse Manager components, if the DB2 client is not already installed. To establish communication between Data Warehouse Center components and Warehouse Manager components, you need to install connectivity software. See the Quick Beginnings books for information about the communication protocols that can be used between DB2 clients and DB2 servers.
