Granting the USE privilege on table spaces to a new group

Use the Table Space page of the Add Group notebook to grant the USE privilege on table spaces to a new group.

To grant the USE privilege on table spaces to a new group:

1. Open the Add Group notebook.
2. Open the Table Space page.
3. From the list of table spaces in the Table Space box, select the table space to which you want to grant the USE privilege.
4. Use either of the following methods to grant the USE privilege:
   • Click the Grant All push button. In the USE column, check marks framed by corner brackets replace the Xs and the USE box specifies Yes. The check marks framed by corner brackets indicate that the grant of the USE privilege is pending.
   • In the USE drop down list select Yes. In the USE column, check marks framed by corner brackets replace the Xs. The check marks framed by corner brackets indicate that the grant of the USE privilege is pending.
5. If you didn't specify the authorization name of the group to which you're granting table space privileges, you must:
   1. Open to the Database page by clicking on the page's tab.
   2. Use the Group box to specify the authorization name.
6. Click Apply to accept the changes. The corner brackets disappear leaving the check marks unframed indicating the USE privilege has been granted
7. Click OK.
