Specifying LOB file names when exporting a file

Use the Add window to add LOB file names to the LOB file names list box. The files specified in the LOB file names list box are created in the paths listed in the LOB paths list box. When file space is exhausted on the first path in this list, files are created in the second path, and so on.

Fields and controls



To specify LOB files:

  1. In the File name of large object (LOB) field, type the base name of a file that will store LOBs.

    Do not use an extension with the file name. When the export process creates LOB files, a 3-digit sequence number is appended to the file.

  2. Click on the Add push button. The file name is added to the LOB file names list box, and the Add window remains open.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to add as many file names as you want.
  4. Click on the Close push button to return to the Large Objects page.
