Names do not appear in lists

Symptom

You use the arrow next to an entry field to display a list of names and the name of an existing database object (for example, a schema name) does not appear in the list.

Possible causes

• The database object was created as a result of an action on another database object. For example, if you type a new schema name in the Create Table window while creating a table, a new schema object with that name is automatically created.
• The database object was created outside of the Control Center. For example, if you create a table by using the Command Center to issue the CREATE TABLE command.

Action

Refresh the set of database objects to which the missing name belongs. To refresh a set of database objects, select the folder for that object type, click mouse button 2, and select Refresh.

For example, if a list of schema names is missing the schema name you want, select the Schemas folder on the object tree, click mouse button 2, and select Refresh from the pop-up menu.
