Symptom
The database configuration parameter values suggested by the Configure
Performance wizard have not had the intended effect. Database
performance is not improved.
Possible causes
- You did not run the script.
- You have not issued a db2start command (that is, restarted the
database) since the new parameters were applied to the database.
- You did not rebind your packages.
Action
- Run the script using the Script Center.
- Restart the database. (Issue the db2stop command and
then the db2start command. Or, select Restart
from the database’s pop-up menu.)
- Rebind your packages.
If the problem persists, send your service representative a copy of the
Configure Performance wizard log file. To do this:
- Make a copy of the file confperf.prf stored in the
DB2PATH path.
- Send the contents of the file by e-mail, fax, or mailed diskette to your
service representative.
Note: | DB2PATH is an environment variable.
|
For example, if DB2PATH=X:\SQLLIB, the file will be found
in the following location:
X:\SQLLIB\confperf.prf.
